  1. Hey:) As the title suggests. I have a few toons at 70, haven’t played in five or so years. Is there anything I need to do other than subscribing to get to 75? If there are expansion purchase requirements where are they? Looked through the website and in game and didn’t see anything. Help would be appreciated:)
  2. Howdy, As a returning player I'm finding it hard to find content on class guides for pvp, augs, etc... I searched youtube and reddit and although there are a few good guides on Reddit the amount of specs especially for tanks is non existent. Does anyone know a good website or youtube vids that explain stuff like mods, armoring ect?
  3. Last night was pretty fun. I think I went 8 wins out of 10 matches on Pub side. There were not a lot of the tank/healer premades which was nice and I met a few hardcore pub cats that were super geared and played objectives. What's up tonight? Anyone planning on grouping up to smash some imp face?
  4. Thanks for the video links etc... I dunno, I did all ya'll suggested and I even did the registry edits. I think it's either a memory leak in the game engine or you HAVE to have a godly processor (i have an i5 4th gen). It doesn't make sense that from the settings on Ultra to Very Low I only see a 5-10 fps diff in Wz's. It also doesn't make sense that I start the WZ around 150fps and within 2 minutes i'm down in the 30-50 range. In operations i never drop below 60 even in 8 man raids.... I dunno... it's really depressing, One of my Favorite games of all time and I've spent a LOT of time on it in the past 3 or so weeks getting a char to 70 etc..... I already spent $250 on a new GPU just to play this game. Dunno if it's worth dropping another $300 into a new processor on the "chance" I can actually function in PVP. I know this has been an issue since launch, it's one of the reasons I stopped playing 3 years ago. This is the 4th mid to high end machine I've tried to pvp on with the same issues. Sucks.
  5. I5 4670 1050 Ti Windows 10 8 mb Everywhere outside of Wz's I get 120+ fps on ultra. In Wz's I start out at 120 FPS and by mid match I'm down to 30-50. Also, there is no diff if I'm at the lowest settings or on Ultra. I make sure nothing is running in the backround, and set the game priority to high. I just don't get it... it's unplayable.
  6. Just wow... 15 matches... all loses.. watching toons run into imps 2v8 over and over and just dying.. no objective control.. no heals.. no dmg... was 100k+ over every pub... really really frusterating.. makes me want to delete my pub tunes and reroll imp.
  7. I've been wrecking on my sage as tele and balance. I just go all defensive utilites and use force mend/cloud mind and kite while dotting or kite and burst. I like the spot sage and sorc dps is atm. Snipers and juggs are just overtuned and need to take a few nerfs.

    I've been saying this since beta. When the **** are snipers going to be tuned down a bit? They have the most dps in game, the longest range, and some of the best defensive cooldowns. This class NEEDS to finally choose a side. Why are they not glass cannons? They are more like tanks with the highest dps in game.. Been broken for 5 years.. Comeon Bioware....
  9. Howdy Swtor fans! I recently returned to the game after a 4 year break and I'm LOVING IT!!! So much fun omg!!! Second best pvp game ever!!! However I do have a few things I'd like to get off of my chest. From reading the forums and running WZ's and rated for the past 2 weeks I've noticed there seems to be an opinion that some classes are far more viable than others. According to opinions I've gathered from streamers and the opinions i've read here I've gathered that below are the only viable specs in pvp. Ops/Smug - Heals, Scrapper/Consealment Jugg - Tank Sorc - Heals (only in rated) Sniper/Gunslinger - Any other than dot spec Maurader - Burst spec Merc/Commando - all 3 specs Sin - Bust Spec That's 12 specs out of what 30? With only 1 viable tank option. However, I've been playing a lot of Sage dps, and Vanguard Tanking/Dps and it seems that they are just undertuned. Meaning that they feel weaker than other specs and don't do enough dmg or have the defensive cooldowns. - BUT - when looking at the rated leaderboards there are all kinds of different classes/specs. If these were the only classes viable, then why are some of the top #100 players playing these along with other classes? SO what to run? What to play to climb the ladder? What to play to smash/save face? ugggg!!!

    FPS Drop in WZ

    Howdy!! I just got back into SWTOR after a few years break. It's my 2nd favorite pvp game ever! The reason I originally quit was because of the horrible fps problems that were happening for the first year or so. Wz's were basically unplayable. I recently bought a new computer and upgraded it's gpu but, I'm still having issues. My Comp Specs i5 4th gen Nvidia 1050 ti 6mb ram Not using a SSD. Main issue is this. Whenever i'm not in a WZ i never drop below 90 fps (on high settings). Whenever I get into a WZ within a few minutes my FPS goes from 171-200 down to 35-60 and stays between 35-60. This happens regardless if I have my settings on very low or on very high, I get the same result. Few things i've already done - made sure all drivers were up to date. Set priority up to high in the task manager. Make sure to turn everything but SWTOR off to ensure full GPU usage. With a 1050 ti I'm able to play games like Overwatch on high settings and never drop below 60fps. I can play wow in a 40 man raid on high settings and never drop below 60. Does anyone know a fix for this? Also, I know there are many threads about this. I haven't seen anything since 2015 about it and I know they changed the ability to change stuff in the swtor file and such.
  11. Ultima was horribly unbalanced throughout the 13 years i played it. Speedhacking and totally overpowered templates spellweaving archers is a good example. I was top mage in the game for 2 year's and played and toured with a guild that netted over 1 million a year in ebay sales ect... wow pvp is so frusterating throughout the lvl's until you get to 90 and get full pvp gear (takes about 3 months if you grind 5-6 hours daily). I have recently gotten a 2300 mmr in 3's and had a 2200 in 5's. I also played a lot of ranked wz's and have maintained these rating's for years eq and diablo had horrible pvp because of dupes and other exploits, basically whoever had the latest hacks would dominate. Star wars on the other hand has viable and fun pvp from lvl 15-55 and even without grinding gear for 3 months you can compete at a decent level all the way through. Agreed arena's can be frusterating for some specs but, world pvp and wz's are still fun and balanced throughout. Basically there are not 1 second kills in Star wars which is nice. That is why I say it is pretty balanced.
  12. have you ever played wow or any other mmo? this game is probally the most balanced i have ever played out of diablo,Ultima online, everquest, and wow. Go re subscribe to wow and pvp for a day and then say stwor is un balanced.
  13. So last night me and my ****** guildies qued up for 4v4 ranked from 11pm-3am on POT5. WE lost every match to a total of 2 teams that qued against us... Yes.... 2 teams in 3 hours.. We have the lowest rating possible because none of us have actually been able to win a ranked 4v4 arena. The 2 teams we faced were with mudclot (possibly the best sorc in game) and another one against the second highest rated team in game. So I can only guess that either 3 teams total were actually queing..... Or the matchmaking system is totally riddled with bugs... I don't see how there could be any room for practice or even comm farming when you face the best in the game over and over and over for 3 hours.... This is not the first night we have done this and gotten similar results. I'm leaning towards the only 3 teams queing on a Friday night at primetime which is insane!
  14. With the current meta of Pt's and other forms of aoe focused comps, how good are Merc Heals in arena's? I have a level 40 merc and so far koto missile is really op for aoe heals, it is just hard to counter quick burst damage. Does clutch healing get any better? Would ops be better to deal with fast burst dmg? I think i have faced 1 possibly 2 merc healers in arena's and both did really well. My guild is currently running 2 melee, 1 ranged,1 healer. I was wondering if anyone has had any success? If so what comps have worked/strats?
  15. I refuse to play arena's because on POT5 there are only 2-3 teams that you will face at any given time. They like to run double smash monkey, ap pt tank, op's heals... that is the only think you will face..... boring!
  16. This the fourth edition of my research into the Jugg as a viable class to be played in pvp. The other 3 were actually in support of playing vengence as a off tank in solo que ranked. Over the past 2 weeks I have gone straight to the heart of arena jugg and it's current viability with team/comps ect and I thought i would share this experience with the rest of you. In my opinion, if you are looking to main a jugg in a premade ranked arena team these are the only ways you can be viable. 1. running hybrid tank/vengence in full dps gear is the only way to play a jugg atm, smash and vengence cannot compete with maur/sent in dps or survivability. Why hybrid you as?! Because having the ability to force leap with immunity to stuns and get a force push or cc is very useful. + the added dps from dots helps a little. 2. AVOID MELEE COMPS!!!! Jugg tanking works best if you are a ranged comp team; ie- sniper's,merc,or sorcs, the only reason juggs are superior to pt's or sin's in this comp is the ability to force push+ gap closer back to your ranged. The reason for this is that in the current meta, a pt hybrid tank will just **** all over your melee with his slick sticky goo and render you useless, IMO pt tank will out cc and out tank you if your dps is melle, allow the emeny healer to kite the **** out of you. With 30 ranked solo matches played as jugg vengence, 30 matches as smash, and 30 as hybrid--- 40 premade mathes as all three.

Is there any forum for this game where people are not complaining about game mechanics being broken/not good enough?? Can y'all at least try for a day to make one constructive thread about team comps,game theory,rotations??!?! Just one day...
  18. After much research I have come to a clear conclusion about the infamous smash jugg and this specs viability in arena's/wz, solo que as well as ranked. :o1. Can get kited- Smash jugg's have to be within melee range in order to do dmg. With electro net, slows, and knockbacks, even with leap and instant slow+jump lock on obliterate, a smash monkey can be kited with ease. This spec does not get a 15% speed increase. *slows + already fat and slow = easy to counter,kill,trap,kite,out rotate for objectives. With this knowledge we can start to think of what to do if you find yourself being killed over and over by smash monkeys. Solo Que 1. play a spec that add's speed, slow/cc immune's, added cc, (you see where we are going with this. ect- switch to tactics vanguard. 2. save your cc's for after the leap! Wait for the leap/smash then cc/slow/kockback and then begin to kite. *remember to stay just within leap range so the stupid monkey can't leap back. 3. Out rotate nodes in wz. He is sooooo slow! So you know you can just avoid them by switching nodes, they show up, you rotate ect... Group Tactics For arena's smash monkeys can be very annoying both for ranged and melee. But, there are some very clear counters. 1. Use the maps pillars/collums/bridge to LOS and keep him away from group as much as possible. 2. Avoid melee classes and use your range to avoid clumping up and try to spread out in order mitigate as much of the aoe dmg as possible. 3. PT's are hard counters to any warrior but is really effective against smash monkeys. 4. bait the leap!!! 1 person why has a slow immune or a speed up or a insta stealth ( ops,merc, veng juggs, sage) To run away from the team at the opener and bait the first leap. This leaves the rest of the team in a 3v3 and seperates the smash monkey to be easily slowed/kited until leap comes back up. This allows you to establish pressure and positioning.
  19. with the conq set bonus you get 8% healing per leap to team player + enemy. You also have enraged defense or w/e it is called that heals for % health. Also, I'm using the broken relic that absorbs dmg (which will proc if you are guarding someone and they get dmged it will mitigate the dmg you would receive and counts as healing). So combined with all 3 of these i am putting up huge healing numbers. Also, just to clarify, I do not just sit in tank stance...... I'm full fledge smashing faces 80% of the wz unless the healer is just getting tunnelled really hard. Also, I have played both smash jugg and veng and If i setup my combo i can kill/burst people down just as fast as with smash + i get all of the utility of the vengence tree. Do you comprehend how many cc's are wasted right after a jugg/maurder leaps? Too good too good..
  20. After playing all classes to 55 besides a sniper I can say that vengence jugg is the only true Off-tank. I ran about 10 wz's/arena's this morning on my pt and 10-15 last night on my sin. The numbers at the end of matches were very one sided towards the veng jugg. On average i was pulling 400k dps, 70k prot, 50k healing on my tactics vanguard with decent team fight effectiveness (switching stances every now and then when needed). On the madness sin i was pulling 500k, 40k prot, 50k healing (unable to switch stances mid fight) with poor team fight effectiveness other than occupying healers/peeling for my healer. On my VENG JUGG on the other hand i was pulling 500k dps, 250k prot, and 180k healing (switching stances multiple times to help balance outnumbered fights/protect healers ect..) and totally swaying fights by using my brain to decide when i should go full tank or full dps. The reason why I say this is a SOLO QUE king is because of the un predictability of the team comp you will be facing/playing with and the ability for this spec to play 2 roles at the same time effectively. I watched yummy's stream who has been playing a hybrid of my spec for a while now and is by far the best pvp tank jugg in game. When i played wow i played a pally a ton and would switch stances to use the templates full potential. After watching yummy play like this, switching stances and roles, I decided to give it a shot and have seen a huge improvement in my ability as a jugg to do more than smash... I realize that veng juggs are probally not the best pick-up over a marauder in grouped 4v4 arena's in the current meta, but i think as the game evolves and different comps are being tried out the ability to turn a team fight with 2 guards instead of 1 will make this spec one of the top tier shortly. An example comp---- vengence jugg, pt tank, ops heals, ranged dps...... The idea is that if they spread dps to more than 1 target i.e. aoe comps/ double smash/ burst comps, that want to focus the healer (guarded) and a dps (unguarded) so the healer has to choose between healing himself or healing the dps. If you can throw a guard on the dps that is not guarded and make them choose to either focus you a tank or your actual tank, because they are unable in a million years to kill your guarded target, gives your ranged dps the freedom to blow up whomever and your healer the freedom to heal as he pleases. This is called defining the meta....... so pull your heads out your butts and think instead of complaining about class unbalances....
  21. Give me 3 wow arena teams in mid tier or 3 leauge of legends teams mid tier and I bet you they will be in the 3 of swtor ranked within a month...
  22. you suck because you have a brain tumor j/k j/k you need to think outside the box.... what makes jugg's the best solo que champ atm is that they can be full dps (able to solo any healer) or can go full tank (able to mitigate dmg from other team). Also unlike ****** sin tanks and ****** pt tanks I can do all of this by pushing a button which sets me apart from all classes. So since you sound like you are retarted to start let me explain why this is good..... You get into an arena with 4 dps what do you do??? as a jugg you switch stances and go full tank mode mitgating dmg from other team and you win....... you get 3 dps and a healer...... what do you do??!? you go tank stance and mitigate dmg until one on the other team falls over then you hit a button and go full dps... you get a balanced team vrs a balanced team what do you do?!?!? you judge the situation on weither you can wreck face or need to mitgate and use your brain to make a good decision.... none the less the other team will have to deal with you throwing guards and your dmg mitigation or your force push, burst...... Now do you see?? without being able to change your talents in que anymore makes this style of play super op...
