  1. Just a few things to throw in, hopefully to bail out the people who are invested in this game and don't want to admit to themselves. If I manage to catch the ear of a developer, great, you'll find your gaming world only becoming better and better. [game not mentioned]'s response to targetting: Objects occupy the space they visually occupy. This means that there's very little 'invisible overlap' when, say a cow walks across your screen, and you try to loot something. You don't click the cow's model edges and become unable to reach your target. SWTOR response to targetting: Things not even in front of you anymore, things that are entirely behind you, but are invisible, still manage to block what you've been trying to reposition yourself and click 6 or 7 times. It becomes a real mind-bender when you're dealing with this at 5 am. [game not mentioned]'s response to endless abilities: I don't recall the maximum number of abilities I ever had to use in the past game, but I managed to work in at least, I don't know, about 6ish or 7ish different abilities to a pvp combat rotation. All of that could be written to a single key. Through the use of macros and a lot of careful planning (considerations of time spent in combat and resource replenish), I could write an entire character using all of their abilities to 2 keys. When my cousin bought the same game and I tried to teach him how to write macros, he was overwhelmed at how oversimplified a game could become. I think he was previously working with entire hotbars of keys. SWTOR response to endless abilities: Entire hotbars of keys. Abilities that have 30 and 45 second cooldowns that seem to float in the back of your mind and require a mouse click to ever use, unless you for some reason move your fingers away from AWSD. [game not mentioned]'s response to movement: You know what, I don't even remember there being an issue with being stuck or not being able to jump ledges. I didn't even know that could be an issue. SWTOR response to movement: Datacrons that require more precision jumping than any other game, even platform games. Instead, you have ledges that make your character deadfall when you try jumping from them. The game doesn't seem to update fast enough so you have to disable your sprint ability. Things that you didn't even have reason to believe were walkable platforms become walkable platforms when you search youtube videos concerning the access of datacrons. And I'd be darned if I didn't mention this. When you try to make shortcuts across mountains, there's a great chance you'll be trapped and it will cost you more time than regularly walking around the obstacle. I learned to fear jumping across things and I simply walked the road. I even trapped myself still in a quest hub, I was leaving the quest giver and about 10 yards from the NPC I legitimately trapped myself in the decor right in the middle of the room. I couldn't join/quit a warzone and respawn. I tried unstuck, I tried fleet pass, eventually somebody had to duel me just so I could continue playing the game. The bug where you fall through the warzone map forever when somebody uses a throw seems to be fixed, but how are you planning to fix the way every single terrain is designed across the entire galaxy? I can only recommend you boost the unstuck tool to a few times the strength it is now. Worry about people abusing it after people find it to be of use. I don't want to talk about the global marketplace, that's obviously going to be updated into something more workable. What would make me come back to this game? Nothing. You'll recoup your 300 mill spent developing it from somebody else. Consumers will always buy into the star wars name. If only from the initial 60 dollar price to test the game and the obligatory subscription people might forget to cancel. You'll get your money. Ensure your legacy extra racial options are available somewhere early, for example level 10 legacy, so people can play what they want with the time they spend playing the game. Actually, I would have said make a global LFG tool, then allow players to find fast operations. When [game not mentioned] implemented that, it worked, but the people who actively disrupt the teams seemed to up the speed of their disruption. A way to solve this would be a global LFG tool with preset chat options and individual loot reward. Don't let players talk nor remove members themselves - inactivity removes people from the group. Maybe even have a successful dungeon rating that would provide optimal partnerships, with obvious allowance for failure due to difficulty. I think whoever implements the system I just described will make their billion dollar incomes in the MMORPG market. Then after you make the money, you can pretend people enjoy watching a story where you're bound to click light/dark so you can wear gear and search game resource websites to find which option your companion prefers. The poor implementation of "free will" and the obvious light side or dark side choices would have disappointed me more had I not played a similar game that supposedly delivered open-ended morality. I just watched Star wars: Episode 3, and the entire thing is about the character making choices and watching their progression. I found it amazing how little story there really is aside from watching the character having internal struggle. Maybe that's why I never remembered that movie, but nobody can say you strayed from that source when you produced SWTOR.
  2. I don't consider myself the other end of your stick. I have a healthy self respect and look to enjoy gaming experiences with other people. When somebody mentions your abuse of other gamers, the proper response would be to step away and re-evaluate your behavior. You always will reassert yourself that your prison yard behavior is the way of life. I don't have high expectations of other people. The reason that guild specifically is the final straw is because a member of that guild deliberately disrupted the guild runs that I expected to be a part of. I leveled my character as fast as possible, never asked the guild for anything, never expected a thing from them, I even built the character nobody else would play just to balance the teams. Everything should have worked splendid and I should have seen a ton of end game. That guild ended up not even running end game. But it's the manner with which they acted towards me that shook me to my core. I personally whispered the guild leader to talk about his friends behavior and see what I could do about it. He decided that the most professional a person can ever be, even brought into a gaming environment, should be responded to with abuse. I acted as friendly and professional and self sufficient, hoping only to further their guild, and it was all thrown in my face as if I'm some sort of person who should regularly be taking your abuse. You can't stop your train. You will continue telling people off and telling them 'they know whats coming' as if everybodys been prepared to be the subject of your bullying behavior. This is a gaming environment with star wars, with lightsabers, with flashing lights and noises, and robots... you can't find a more friendly and supposedly fun environment than this. What I'm saying is, this is the end of the line. This was your chance to shake your attack dog mentality and enjoy yourself. Too many people are using this game as a place to put themselves rather than for personal enjoyment. Something else I would like to mention about my original post is the way macros aren't set up in this game. For example, a class might have so and so many abilities to build resource, then you have to DoT the enemy, then you have reactionary abilities. You spend the entire time pressing the 5 or so keys you can reach with your fingers while still using the AWSD keys to move about, then the other half of your combat rotation would be from clicking. You don't even see what's happening across the screen unless it costs you time away from your rotation. I don't want to, I don't know, I don't know the negative way people might misinterpret this, but this game has the worst controls ever designed of any game I've ever played. I just can't bring myself to continue playing this game. Thanks for all the times we've never had, I don't know. Just try to improve what you can from my final feedback for the people who have been hungering for this game months before it hit stores, and will continue telling themselves the game's good because they have too much invested in it. Provide them with a reason to be saying all the good things about it they continue saying. That's who I feel the worst about.
  3. FPS lag and loading times are unacceptable. My system is 3x the minimum requirements. I even thought about building a maxed, thousands of dollars gaming rig but then I realised SWTOR is a poor play experience to be spending more time grinding things that don't matter. Player pool When you talk in general, you invite harassment in the form of stalking, death threats, threats of violence, and endless 'your mom' comments. The final straw, after I found the time I spent getting harassed literally matched the time I spent playing the game, is the last guild I ever joined. One of the players would say they wish they could kill the guild leader and mute him, then twice admit they themselves actively disrupt the guild flashp's. When I whispered the guild leader asking him how he wants me to handle that member's negative behavior, the guild leader told me I'm drunk and slandering. His friend started harassing me, the friend booted me from the guild, then the guild leader told me he didn't boot me as some sort of "I'll pretend I made a point and throw a canvas bag over your head to buy time before I verbally assault you again" comment. Finally, the guild leader verbally battered me for a few more minutes and blocked me. I built all of my legacy and alts at a server, collected nearly 5 million credits and awaited being max legacy when the thing comes out in March. Then I found from the site that tracks player populations I picked a dead server. I'm at the level of should I invest more time and find the hidden Narnia in this game, or should I cut this suffering animal short? The game isn't fun. The only thing you can do to sidestep the player pool is to play the sith consular or whatever, the class that obviously the developers themselves are playing, and que the huttball all day. If I wanted to play PVP, and thats essentially what I bought this game for, I would play [game not mentioned], or [game not mentioned], where the games have some sort of logic and skill required. Not to mention the thing moves smooth enough so you can actually apply skill. There is no PVP in this game. It's a map with player damage enabled. Stuns are supposed to be something you use to maximize the distance from enemy players while you run and cast instants. The stun in this 'game' is 6 or so seconds where the sith consular has 6 seconds to do what he wants. He throws you from ledges when he's decided he doesn't want to fight you, he throws you into lava pools when he doesn't have the damage to kill you, he disappears mid combat using stealth when he decides he's entered a unfavorable scenario. I guess this is me disappearing mid subscription because this game literally ruined my enjoyment of star wars. I used to be that star wars kid in grade 7 who everybody would associate with star wars. How to improve this game: Spend less money thrown into the gaps that every sensible player presses space bar through and rip off more things from [game not mentioned]. I planned to play this game for years. I don't need to be told this and that is coming, that they're fixing that and this. This game is nothing more than a money grabbing tool. I'm all for making money but you could have at least left the end user with something for the money you collect from them. This game might as well cost 60 dollars a month, because all of the hours you spend playing it, lets say 5 hours a day, 6 days a week, x50 = is equal to 1500 hours per year. That at minimum American wage, which is $7.25, is $10,875 per year. What do you want, do you want to serve burgers or pay $10,875 for the same experience.
