  1. Thank you for having common sense and being helpful I'll try that out!
  2. You are the second person to whine about me saying the leveling is slow, although i never said that, and i said the exact opposite . If you don't have eyes, don't submit your reply, thanks. So just to confirm again: i'm ALL for challenging gameplay and exciting stories. If you blind sheeps prefer grinding the same quests for your subscription fee go ahead and do it.
  3. I couldn't care less about the speed of it. I do it for fun, class stories are fun. Planetary missions are also fun, for the first time. I wouldn't mind if the story was 10x longer because i DO NOT care about the speed, i just want to do what i enjoy, not what i find horribly boring. You can say what you want but doing the same quests for the 10th time is boring.
  4. You do NOT get up-synced on any planet. You get down-synced if you are higher level but that's all. Gotta love how Bioware decided to ruin everything and only care about story-telling since that's what they are good at, and now look at this. You are literally unable to play your story if you don't do the planet missions you've done 10 times already, or if you don't give them even more money for XP packs Guess it's time to look for a better game. Won't take long.
  5. My Sage was overleveled at 30 (because of the 2x XP). Then the event was over, i continued leveling as usual, and with using my own XP boosts, at level 34 her next story quest is for level 38. Same for my sniper at level 25-ish.
  6. Soo... We had 12x XP for months. Then they said they "streamlined the leveling experience" for all classes so you only need to do the missions that matter! That was indeed true until the 2x XP event was over. Right now, even if you pay for your legacy XP boosts and join a guild for +10% XP, and use your XP boosts you earn for the class missions, you still won't earn enough XP to be able to level with just the story missions. Since i can't be bothered about most classes combat, and just want to enjoy the story, which is the main focus of the game, i don't understand why Bioware would make it impossible to enjoy the main purpose of the game. You can say: "omg dude just do some pvp/ starfighter / heroics": Nope. I don't care about anything other than the story. You can say: "but with the planet stories you earn enough XP!": True. But i already played through those multiple times so it's very boring and still distracts from the class story experience. Anyone else frustrated about this? I would really like to play through the stories while my sub lasts, so if there's any way to do it without all these annoying distractions please tell me.
  7. Yes, the cores are all unparked and are working as intended with every other game :/
  8. Alright, i'm not here to whine about how horribly the game is optimized, it's fact, but i genuinely want to solve this problem and i can't seem to do more on my own. The problem: I generally have 60+ FPS on fleet, most planets, and flashpoints. In an operation, my FPS sometimes drops, but it's still acceptable. Warzones however, are literally unplayable, especially the new hutball map. There is nothing wrong until the gate opens for the first time. But as soon as players start running out from base, fps drops to 10-20 and stays that way until the end of the warzone. System specs: - Windows 8.1 - GeForce GTX 960 - Intel Core i5-2310 CPU @ 2.90 GHZ - 8GB RAM (using latest Nvidia driver) Graphical settings have minimal impact on the performance, so turning them down solves nothing. I noticed that when i hide my UI, i have no FPS problems AT ALL, even in warzones. So it is probably caused by the UI, which i tried tweaking (hiding stuff from it) but as long as parts of it are turned on, it's killing the performance. I've tried using SWTOR Unleashed which helps a bit, but doesn't solve anything. I've also tried installing Direct X9 as some people suggested, and tried out many different NVIDIA control panel setups from maximum performance through application decided to maximum appearance. Using monitoring programs it is clear that the game is barely using my GPU (only around 40%) and while it is using all 4 of my CPU cores, it's only using about 50% or less of each. Funny note: Some people with worse or almost the same system specs seem to have no performance problems at all Please help me

  10. Believe me i've tried everything. The issue is the game engine and the UI. I've tried turning UI off in a WZ and i had 80+ FPS after that (but then you can't use abilities) then turned it back on, boom back to 10 fps....
  11. Sure it won't be boring, but PvP is simply unplayable on most PC-s. (I have GTX 960, Core i-5 and 8 GB RAM.)
  12. Hi, let me introduce myself. I've been playing Swtor with some big breaks since release, and i have decided to share my opinion on the current state of the game, with some comparisons to older versions. Let's start with warzones. Back years ago, when the game was released, i was able to enjoy the game's pvp content with 30+ FPS on a rather bad computer (compared to other rigs in 2012). What has changed over the years? Well, i managed to upgrade my PC 2 times since then, right now i have a pretty good gaming computer able to handle all of today's games on high graphics (including Battlefront). In Swtor's Warzones, i have 5 fps. That is, after trying to solve wz fps problems for weeks, trying every single solution anyone ever said on forums on the topic. I've tried Unleashed, setting graphics to minimum, tweaking my CPU, everything. Right now it's literally NOT possible to enjoy warzones to any extent, so Bioware can just remove PvP content altogether as it has no point anymore. All they did in the past years was reducing people's performance in warzones. Let's talk about graphics settings. To improve performance, or for any other reason, if you select a lower resolution, the game becomes unplayable, as the new resolution won't stretch to your screen, it will just be reduced in size, going to the top left corner of your monitor. That's some advanced programing right there. Something i would complain about on a kickstarter game by an indie developer who made the game in 2 weeks. But this is Bioware, EA, a ton of money and years of experience. And this is what we get. What else do we get? New hairstyles and outfits to the cartel market. Since subs get some CC for free, i decided to buy the "Undercut" hairstyle. Turns out, the HEAD of my character clips THROUGH THE HAIR. Similar to this: http://i.imgur.com/CRByvtB.jpg This is what you have to pay real money for Now that PvP and customization are out of the game, that leaves us PvE and leveling content. PvE has it's obvious flaws but it's at least playable, though hardcore raiding is not an option anymore due to Bioware's recent changes to NiM operation rewards. Leveling is great, most class stories are enjoyable and fun to play through once, although it's still a pain to level without subscription, so i don't recommend that to anyone. In conclusion: The game has seen NO improvement in all it's years since release. All you can do in this game right now is playing the class stories (if you have a sub that is), and continue with the RotHC, SoR and KotFE stories which are also good. This is story telling game that allows you to interact with other players when you're not doing the story missions, which is pretty fun if you have a guild that does meetings and events. So this is what i think about the game. I hope it was helpful for anyone interested in trying this game, so they won't make the same mistake i did (not doing research before subscribing to a game). I expected enjoyable end-game PvP and PvE content which this game does not have. So to anyone interested in those: save your money for something else. This is not the game you are looking for.
