  1. I've liked the vigilance spec for leveling a guardian. Shien form can really pump out the damage, or (if you want a longer fight, but better survivability) Soresu can also work. You don't get Doc until mid 30s, but you can take your ship-droid and deck him out; he makes a pretty solid healer. Fights will take longer, but if you have C2 and Soresu form up it's unlikely you'll be killed in almost any fight. -DrZ
  2. I'm liking cybertech. It's not difficult to keep your orange gear up to date with armoring/mods. YMMV. -DrZ
  3. This is the leveling build I'm planning on using. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#500cMbZhGrMMhddhRZh.1 Basically, once you get 14 you just stay in Soresu. I find the shield proc'ing and the 6% bonus to defense makes surviving a lot easier. Additionally, it frees up a bunch of points in your talent tree if you don't go for narrowed focus. I'm just playing around with it now, not sure if it's 'ideal' or anything like that but it's working for me. -DrZ
  4. Hey everyone, So I'm currently leveling my Sage as a TK build, but I'm curious if I should try leveling as a healing build instead. My end-goal is to be a healer for my guild, but I haven't really played a healer in an MMO before. Is leveling PvE content as a healer untenable compared to a DPS build? What's the learning curve on learning how to effectively heal my team, i.e. does it make sense to have me start learning how to heal now, or should I be able to pick it up pretty easily once I get to 50? My goals really are 1) have fun 2) level to 50 3) Heal in flashpoints/Ops for my guild. General thoughts? Thanks for your input ahead of time. -DrZ
  5. Qyzen is a little buggy right now; his "lag". From what I've heard, Iresso doesn't have that issue. As a result, I'd favor him.
  6. All TK builds I see have points in it. I say go for it.
  7. This was a tip from my brother; rebind Strike (or another key ability) to Mouse wheel down, and rebind Zoom-Out somewhere else. Very handy to not take up a button on your top row numbers for something you're going to be doing a lot of.
