  1. The first thing I noticed about this character is that she is a chrome robot with lady parts and gold lipstick...If the "S" in SCORPIO doesn't stand for "Sexy", your doin' it wrong.

    ;)

Best Companion in the game....well, next to Kaliyo anyway. We are so spoiled.

  2. Hey, I was thinking...wouldn't it be cool if on the 1 year anniversary of your account, you got a mission to report to your ships holodeck, and the lights were off, and your super annoying droid wasn't there to greet you, and then...

SURPRISE! Your crew has a birthday party for you?

You've got 9 months are so to stealth-code that one, guys. :)

  3. Taris as a Republic player is bright day.

Taris as an Empire player is midnight.

It's cool, but, after seeing both I'm fine with leaving the planets as they are. It may break up some of the "sameness" of the visuals, but devoting any art/coding time to this feature at this point in the game's life seems like a waste. There are so many more cool things they could be working on.

Republic Taris is soooo much more enjoyable, BTW.

  4. DoTs were never intended to prevent capping.

    The end.

Wow, they were never intended to interrupt capping? You mean like every other damage spell in the game? Did someone really overlook one of the most common effects (DOT) in MMO's when they were designing PVP? Really?

    It's ridiculous.

  5. I'm not gonna QQ that this hurts our usefulness in WZ's...it's not an Agent only change afterall. But it is a silly change to make. Why? It just doesn't make any sense.

Are DOTs going to not break stealth anymore either? Or interrupt our self heals? If your going to make a change like this, at least make it consistent...

    Dumb.

  6. not useles... and work fine. except i'd admit there is a bug in the description.

the skill is not usable on "incapacitated" targets. it's usable on "knocked down" targets. do not try to use is after stunning them (it's a form of incapacitation, but it doesn't trigger the skill). so mainly, during a fight, you open with "hidden strike" if you have put some points in the knock down skill box, and then you follow with eviscerate for about 4-6k damage in 2 seconds.

    :)

Not true. These work on stunned targets, but not on Elites or Players. Normal and Strong opponents which are stunned OR knocked down allow these skills to be used.

  7. Just a note about the escape pod...I did end up having to use it one time...I was on a friends ship just testing to see if I COULD get in a friends ship, and he did a space mission...I was stuck there, unable to interact with anything...anything EXCEPT the Escape Pod, which took me back to the planet we were orbitting.

Pretty cool, but not something we will use much.

I would just like to add Multiplayer space missions to the list. Dogfighting another player would be great, but so would taking a friend or two and having them man the turrets, like in Episode 4 (and the "Return" trailer)...It seems like an epic "Star Wars" moment...

  8. I recall the idea of not having GTN/mailboxes on your ship was so you'd actually leave it and have to go to social areas. I have a feeling that was also why they initially required modding stations.

And I guess that makes some sense from a design perspective. But at this point, the fleet is pretty hopping...I don't think there is any chance it's going to empty out if I have a mailbox on my ship. Conversely, the other cantinas on the levelling planets are completely devoid of players, except those logging out or logging on. They are not, by any stretch of the imagination, social areas.

I just want to login and do some space missions, but that little "You Have Mail" icon is staring me in the face, and...I. Just. Have. To. Know. Did those leathris bracers I put up for a billion credits actually sell? Or is it spam from a gold farmer?

But now I have to load a planet...hang on still loading...let me get something to drink...almost there, I can hear my droid now...one more minute....Okay, let me run out of the hangar...take this elevator....up this hallway here...which way? Check my map. Change my filter. THERE IT IS! Crap. It's just spam. And now I'm out of playtime.

Seems like this is a quality of life update that could come down the road and not break anything. And honestly, I chuckle when I see mailboxes hanging around the SW universe, given that smart phones on earth have almost put the Federal Post Office out of business.

  9. Hi there! I was just sitting on my bridge, looking at the banks of computers everywhere, wondering where my email inbox was. I have a holo-terminal that can send and recieve holgraphic communications real-time, with planets light-years apart, but I can't seem to get an email on my ship.

    Sure would be nice....

That's it! Thanks, and keep up the great work!

  10. Honestly, I find the importance of CC refreshing...And complaining that you get pushed and pulled in Huttball and you need a GOOD TEAM to counter it is...well, the freaking point. It's a game of football. You don't get to be a hero without a solid team backing you up.

Could the resolve bar get tweaked to allow for a little less? Sure...but that's the sort of thing that might take a bit more data from the actual ranked matches, and I'm glad BW is waiting instead of making a knee-jerk reaction.

  11. A woman wrote at least some of them. Jennifer Helper, I believe.

And they aren't taking a strong stance against SGRA. They are planning on adding it with new companions that will be available in the future content. They also aren't dismissing the possibility of tweaking existing ones.

I swear Kaliyo (Imp Agent companion) is already SGRA...she has consistent dialogue about "hooking up" with a twi'lek girl, "seducing" a female mandalorian, and we fade to black over cocktails...She just doesn't like courting gifts. She's a much better romantic option than Vector the bug-boy.

    "You and me, Agent"...

  12. I tried playing a relatively hard nosed Agent that was willing to do what was necessary (short of murder) to get things done. But, I found I was going between light and dark choices.

Now, I'm stuck with a very bad distribution of light/dark points that are preventing me from using some useful gear

Yeah, same here, but apparently at end game it doesn't matter, so I stopped caring about this. It does kind of suck when I notice I'm level 43 and have no relics equipped. That's a lot of missing stats.

  13. Snipers have some of the worst CC in the game.

    Slice Droid

    Legshot

    Cover Pulse

Heavy Shot (MM tree talent that adds a knockback to Ambush)

    Debilitate

    Flash Bang

Diversion (it's a stretch, but it's "remove target from cover" can be a useful CC ability)

Why do you say we have the worst in the game? It's a pretty full toolbox, IMHO. The only thing we're missing is a humanoid 1 minute CC, which our Operative brothers get. For PVE, I think Slice Droid more than makes up for this. For PVP, everything else is borderline OP...it's very rare that I have all my CC options on cooldown. A Sniper is an amazing linebacker in huttball.

  14. I hear the "James Bond" thing thrown around a lot. It's not wrong, but at level 43, I've come to think of the Imperial Agent storyline Acts as seasons in 24...

Jack Bauer was a cool guy...a good guy...But he tortured, murdered, got addicted to heroine, etc...Whatever was needed to get the job done.

The Empire will restore order and efficiency out of the chaos that was allowed to flourish during the Republic's rule. The ends justify the means to accomplish this.

That's my take on it, anyway...I love that Bioware has allowed for each player to take their own approach to the class.
