  1. You can't claim something as fact when it has not happened.
  2. You still get a bag with gear in it for Heroics. I don't recall ever *not* getting a bag with gear in it as a reward.
  3. Wikias are user-generated/maintained content. It's nothing to do with the game developers themselves.
  4. More cultured than I at least, as I had never heard it at all! Seeing you say it though it was "Wow, that really makes a LOT of sense!"
  5. This is what the change means to me as well. I was not planning on unsubbing, even with the fiasco, but I was paying month-by-month and becoming increasingly disgruntled with the population issues (also the reason I have a plethora of alts, but none level 50... get to level 50 and what? Spam for 3 hrs trying to find a group? NO THANKS!) Anyway, the way this issue was rectified, and in a relatively short period of time, gives me hope they they DO know about the population issues and some way, some how, SOMETHING will be done.
  6. Very VERY good on you guys! I am IMMENSELY pleased to read this.
  7. No. At least I am not. However, "Speak now or forever hold your peace." isn't applicable solely in marriage situations. A more in general comment, not directly aimed at you: I think it is good that people have spoken up and said a) what upset them, b) why it upset them, and c) how it could have been managed in a way that would not have upset them. Even if nothing changes NOW, I am hopeful that any further promotions will be more carefully thought out/worded. While you can't please everyone all the time, you can avoid doing things that you now KNOW will peeve them off. The only things that I find completely unproductive are "YOU RIPPED ME OFF!" because that is exaggeration of the worst kind and "QQ more" because... well... some day will come where there is something YOU don't care for and you really don't want someone to then reply to YOUR issue with "QQ more" do ya?
  8. It would be better than insinuating (even if it was only through improper wording) that a whole slew of your customers are less valuable solely because they chose to take the scenic route through your content.
  9. "Due to the fact that Rated Warzones had to be removed from this patch, all level 50s will be granted 30 days free game time to give us the time to rectify this issue." And most people wouldn't have had an issue.
  10. I have already said it many times, but, just for you, I will say it again: You can not measure value by ones level. To claim a reward is given for loyalty and have something COMPLETELY unrelated to it be the metric by which it is judged is not right. Level 50s given free time = Fine. Level 50s being given free time because of their level judging them as "most valuable" = Not fine. You disagree, that's cool. I do not hate SWtoR. I do not hate BW. I do not hate EA. However, I do hate the way this "promotion" was worded.
  11. That would be fine. Had it said people that have participated in the PTR and/or submitted x-number of bug reports get 30 days, this would not be an issue for a lot of people. That's not what happened, stop claiming it is.
  12. Touche. I am just hoping for the wording to be changed and/or an apology for the bad wording. I am not upset with the lack of something free... if the $15 was a make or break deal for me, I should probably consider unsubscribing anyway as it would be indicative of my finances being in a place that superfluous expenses were a bad thing.
  13. Bad example. More accurate example would be telling ONE of your kids in front of the others they were good for "insert-thing-the-others-did-as-well-just-more-slowly".
  14. I don't have an issue with it only being given to level 50s. And I agree there is no way to reliably judge loyalty. But that is, in essence, what my complaint is. I fully support free time being given to 50s. I do not support them being given the time because they are described as "our most loyal players". Semantics, perhaps.. but there ya go.
  15. The decision is not what people are upset with, at least not most people. What they (we) are upset with is how that decision was explained. Equating level with value as a customer is wrong. I am sorry, but it is. You can keep saying that a level 50 can give more feedback than non-50s but we will keep disagreeing because that is just simply not true. They can give light feedback on 1-49 and heavier feedback on 50. I can give extensive feedback on level 1-40 for Jedi Consular, Sith Inquisitor, Trooper, Imperial Agent, Smuggler, and Bounty Hunter. I can give extensive feedback on *every* crew skill at all levels because I have maxed them all. How can you say my feedback is less extensive, or less valuable, than anyone elses? "We want to reward our level 50s with 30 extra days for sticking with us while we further test our max-level content." NO objection from me. But that is not what was said.
  16. I am sorry, but you too, are missing the point. Level 50s see more content. Fact. I am not arguing that. But people who concentrate on seeing ALL of their current level of content see in more detail. It's a quick scan of your hard drive. It's quick, and it will find all of the big issues. vs an In-depth scan. It's slower, but it will find ALL the issues... even the teeny tiny ones. Both are EQUALLY important.
  17. That is one way to look at it, and I will concede that fact. However, think of it this way: Who sees more in detail? Someone who looks for the path of least resistance to accomplish their goal with as little time expended as possible or someone who delves into every nook and cranny along their path to see what they can see? I don't think you can qualify either path as more, or less, useful? loyal? What have you. Yet, you are... and that is what bothers me.
  18. The problem is, in a lot of cases, that is PRECISELY what you are doing: Rewarding those who have spent LESS time.
  19. This is correct, however, I rather imagine if you co-worker was given this bonus for being a "valued worker", while you knew you had spent as much, if not more, time working... you'd be a bit put out. Maybe you wouldn't, if not... I dub the a saint.... however, I don't really think that is realistic in the least.
  20. Yes. Yes. Yes. This is my exact issue. Not that time was given, but the claim that being level 50 means you are more loyal than someone who has spent an equal amount of time in game doing things that do not necessarily advance one's level.
  21. I have an issue with it as well, and not because omgsomeonegotsomethingfreeandIdidn'tQQ. Scenario 1: "We want to reward our loyal customers, so anyone who has had an active account, in good standing, since launch will receive 30 days free play time." Fine. I would miss out since I didn't get the game until a day or two after launch, but I can accept that. Scenario 2: "We want to reward people who have been/are sticking it out at max-level while we tweak our end-game, so anyone who has a 50 as of xxx date will receive 30 days free play time." Fine. I would miss out because I do not have a level 50, but I would understand it. Scenario 3: "We want to reward our level 50s because they are our most loyal players, so they will receivve 30 days free play time." Not fine. Level does NOT equate loyalty. I feel that they have chosen to go with Scenario 3. While in all of the above examples I would miss out on any perks... 1 and 2 are fine, 3 I find frustrating.
  22. Another thing I want to say: I am not saying anyone that has a level 50 has no life, plays to much, blah blah whatever. All I am saying that someone level 50 and someone level 5 can be equally "loyal" and when a "loyalty" reward is given, it should reflect such. Well maybe not level 5, but you get the idea. I am sure I have clocked just as many (and if I am honest with myself probably a good deal more) hours as people with multiple level 50s. The difference is, I spread mine across various characters and in addition spent a LOT of time messing about with crew skills, reverse-engineering, etc as well as questing with 7 different characters (between both "sides") to see how/if the story changed based on who I was at the time.
  23. I will go slow so you can (maybe) understand. People. are. not. saying. they. couldn't. get. to. level. 50. They. are. saying. that. they. believed. it. when. BioWare. themselves. said. the. game. was. about. the. journey. so. they. played. it. as. such. and. now. the. people. who. played. it. like. a. grinder. MMO. are. the. ones. being. rewarded. Got it?
