  1. Ninja looting isnt really a problem in games without an LFD tool. See, you just run over to the fleet, announce the guy is a ninja looter, and he doesnt get groups anymore. Thanks to WoW however, these days ninja looter just gets another random group of people to screw over.
  2. Also they cant do wookies because then the entire range of character emotion would be defined by facial and bodily expressions. The hero engine cant do it. Wookie would just have wookie face.
  3. Anyone who thought this game would have wookies is either extremely gullible, or thought the box said SWG 2. I mean really.
  4. Just thought I'd let everyone know. The reason I'm posting on the forum is that im stuck in the falling animation in a quest room with a red door. So I'm SOL on enjoying the game im paying money for until I get a warzone pop, at which point i get to travel back to the fleet and fly all the way back to tatooine. Thank you Bioware.
  5. Just so you know, every sage I know on my republic character AND every sorcerer i know on my empire character that is female is CURRENTLY using the slave outfit. As in before 1.2 I PROMISE you, no one will be wearing the gear they are supposed to. They will all end up wearing the same 4-5 sets of custom gear, thus creating the exact same problem all over again. People act like theres more than 10 sets of orange gear in the game. 1.2 increases it to what 20? Yeah im sure everyone will be a pretty flower in PURPOSEFUL clown shoes.
  6. Why bother? The amount of gear that drops is ludicrous to the extent that even if half of it get ninjad everyone gets geared anyway. They should change it to where actual gear drops and each boss doesnt drop 8 pieces. Then the game might stay fun for more than 2 weeks.
  7. This area exists and is known as Esseles/Black Talon.
  8. I like the entire Dev team A LOT. Except one person who I thought was extremely rude throughout the Guild summit stream and whom flat out left after the PVP discussion.
  9. I should be able to make my lightsaber look like a gun. I pay 15 dollars a month and that means Star Wars is what I say it is. Let me be who I want to be.
  10. I've been had! But hes much more than just those two!
  11. Bioware is lying. Like they lie about everything. Its going to get even more real when people realize the training dummies parse out false data. Its obvious they have a reason for not giving us numbers. The metrics are random. Just like the loot drops, pvp bags, voidstar, and social point system. Star Wars The Old Random Number Generator.
  12. What you guys didnt know about Star Wars was that in Return of The Jedi, when Luke was battling Darth Vader as he spoke with the Emperor, what you didnt notice was that... R2D2 was there, holding Darth Vader still, because Luke couldnt handle him alone. Vader was a Gold Star, and it was far more flexible and dynamic if Vader just stood still and attacked R2D2 instead.
  13. 40 hour a week job. 24 hours in a day. And you can only spot 1 hour a day for SWTOR? What do you do with the other 16 hours of the day? 8 for sleep, and 8 for being "busy". Nah, i dont believe the average gamer is too busy for most of the day to play the game they are actively paying for.
  14. Am I the only person who see this for what it is? Bioware is obviously handing out rare items on a vendor to keep people from leaving before 1.2. It's the equivalent of giving out pizza at a Community Lecture. Please dont leave, we have pretty lightsaber crystals for you. I know we made you earn them last week, but if you stay until 1.2 you can just buy them. Please dont leave.
  15. Clearly this game has 3 million subscribers. Thats why a whopping 20 thousand people watched the Guild Summit Live Stream... And thats why.. Bioware actually put a vendor in the fleet selling all the vanity and VIP items. PLEASE DONT QUIT BEFORE 1.2 HERE HAVE SHINY COLORS. PLEASE DONT QUIT. These are the actions of a Developer whose mmo just doubled its population.
  16. It honestly takes about an hour to get from the fleet to a planet, then do like 2 quests if you watch the cutscenes. Implying that the great majority of this games players pay 15 dollars a month for 40 dollars total gameplay time over the entire month is just silly. I bet the average SWTOR gamer plays 4 hours a day, and the hardcore SWTOR gamer plays 12-14 hours a day. I know 2 guys in my guild play at least 10 hours a day every day.
  17. Claiming peak server time is 10-20 percent of a servers total population is literally stupid. MMO gamers dont play every other day for an hour. It isnt like that. MMOs are a KNOWN addictive commodity. And for you to think I should believe that the average guy on SWTOR is too busy out on the town every night to play for more than an hour is almost insulting. No the average SWTOR player pays 15 dollars a month to play SWTOR. Not to log on and send his companions out real quick. One warzone takes 15 minutes. And this hypothesis is that people get on, play 2 or 3 warzones, walk to the fleet and log out. Its just laughable.
  18. This is just not true. IDK where this forum myth came from that the average mmo gamer has a life and plays like an hour a day. Thats like... a joke to me. The Average Call of Duty gamer plays like 4 hours a day. And thats an FPS. People who play an mmo (a game built around player progression) for one hour a day are the extreme minority because at this point they would be level 20 or so. I mean, you think more than half of the population is 50 because they play an hour a day and maybe 2 on the weekends? Lol A single warzone takes 15 minutes.
  19. Steven Blum was literally every non player character in Quake 4. Every. Single. One.
  20. First off, if what i see with my eyes says anything... Combat Logs will alert everyone to the fact that damage in this game is completely random in almost every scenario. Second.. Soon everyone who isnt (fotm build) will be forced to respec or find a new guild WoW in Space!
  21. This game will do like Age of Conan did. Suck hardcore until some people get fired (pvp designer wont name any names) and new developers fix their mistakes with patches. By then the majority will have moved on to other mmos that are inevitably doomed to fail (or succeed depending on what you call success). The game evens out at 300-400k subscribers and gets backburnered. Unfortunately, unlike Age of Conan this game requires voice acting, which is expensive. EA takes all their money and puts it into "The Secret World" and this game gets the shaft.
  22. How can they expect me to play SWTOR when all my Skrillex CDs are on my itunes attached to my Mac partition. This is an outrage.
  23. Nope. 1.6 million subscribers. 800 thousand players.
  24. I dont think they should make an off rails space combat system because the Hero Engine is trash and couldnt handle it. I do however think they should make 16 man space combat operations. I can hear it now. SOMEONE CC THAT STAR DESTROYER. QUICK TROOPER SHIP, TAUNT THE DEATH STAR. LUKE USE YOUR PHOTON TORPEDO NUKE. MORE LAZERS. NOAW. GET OUT OF THE LAZER PIT. NOW.
  25. Is that like how Bioware claims this game runs well on normal to high end pcs and that no one gets bad fps in ilum, but then releases patch notes addressing low fps in ilum? Or like how Bioware said they fixed the ACW turret bug favoring empire when they didnt? Or like when Bioware said they fixed the WZ quest bug in 4 consecutive patches? Or like when Bioware said I can use emotes on my speeder and 2 months later I cant use emotes on my speeder? Or like when Bioware said the game would have good graphics in the commercials and on the box, but then said the good graphics were a bug and it was out fault for not knowing they were only in cinematics? Or like the time Bioware said SWTOR wouldnt have fights where large groups of people hit a single monster, but then every single fight in the game involved large groups of people fighting a single monster? Or like the time Bioware said they would roll back peoples valor for exploiting and then they didnt? Or like the time Bioware said they would ban people for exploiting chests in Ilum, but then they didnt? Or like how the Website says companions change and reflect your decisions and playstyle, but they dont? Man, Bioware always tells the truth am I right?
