  1. There is a full set of armor offered through the Cartel Market that is adaptive armor called the Destroyer Set. It is a complete set of armor that replicates the look of Kallig minus the Helm. It comes with a fin head helm. Sub in the helm you are given and you have the full set.
  2. Treek is MUCH better than Malavi Quin. I have Quin in 69 Purples across the board and my Treek is in 66 Purples with a few 69's. She puts out better HPS than Quin does and does reapsonable DPS. Not in the same overwhelming numbers that HK-51 puts out when properly geared, but respectable nonetheless. Solid tank too.
  3. Its pretty simple and applicable to any Tank Companion. Shield and Absorption are their best friends because Defense normally gets boosted by a PC's talent trees which the Comps don't have. Having some Defense is good but focus on the other two.
  4. Flux, Thanks for that. I know its too early but I just want something different to do for the levelling process. PvP at low levels for some reason is oddly entertaining. C
  5. Okay I know that Low Level PVP isn't on most of the people's radar here but I am at 18 and I REFUSE to level another toon through questing. Sorry, I have 2 toons at 50 and I can't do Tatoonie and Nar Shadaa EVER AGAIN!!! So all my other 6 toons are doing PvP. My thinking originally was going to be MM cause I could feasibly use it for PvE and PvP. Is Engineering THAT much better even at lower levels for PvP? Is it viable to quest with while I am waiting on my Queues? Any help is appreciated!
  6. My first 50 was a Juggernaut, Immortal spec. I will be honest I hated using Quinn. I used Vette until I got Jaesa. I got her early on as my girlfriend helped me to complete Chapter 1 by level 25. I used her exclusively from that point on. I never used anyone else and my tank companions didn't see the light of day other than the companion conversations. I have never had any issues until the final fight on my Jugg and then I had to switch to Quinn. Other than that if I had issues I would just make sure I had my stims and hit my interrupts. I will freely admit that I had to hit my defensive cd's but thats what they are there for. It was never hard though. I did all my quests when they were yellow excpet for Chapter 1 which I mentioned above as most of those were red to me. The tank companions are actually a fairly big waste for a Juggernaut as you effectively cut your DPS down to uselessness. Having two health bars doesn't matter as much when you can not carve half of the opponent's health bar before you are both dead. If you are playing a Juggernaut DPSer then its a bit different. Depending on the DPS of the mob you are fighting your tank companion might not last that long anyways. Now as to disparities, I do not see them like you do. I have levelled a Merc to 50 and while I could do decent DPS I was surprised at how immobile the Arsenal spec is. I used Mako throughout the entire run 1 - 50. SHe kept me alive for the most part and there were multiple times that H2's that I ended up having to heal myself up as well to make it through, whereas my Jugg could just beat his way through fairly easily. I have several other AC's north of 30 and none of them were as easy as my Jugg except my Guardian Jedi though I went DPS with him. Anyway you look at it, to me its more a matter of personal play style than a class disparity. But then thats just my perception.
  7. I have played MMO's since Ultima Online. I recall Day 1 patching over a 56K modem for that game. I hated spending 5 hours patching so much that I gave up the game. I played WoW from Day 1 retail and it wasn't this bad. You had your weekly maitenance and on rare occasion a hotfix. This is bad in the extreme. Why not put this into the patch released Tuesday? I appreciate that patch days on SWTOR aren't as pointless as they are with WoW, but still losing as much time to this is silly. As mentioned previously use the launcher for something more than an advertisment. I work from 4pm to 1am and it takes about 35 minutes to get home and I do not look at the forums because I rarely have the time to just spend unless there is an outage. I know there are bugs that must be worked out. I know that bugs that do not appear in PTR's yet crop up in the live environment are not uncommon, but still these bugs are what Tuesday Weekly Maintenance is for. Extend it if needed on Tuesdays and leave the rest of the week alone. You guys have alot less room to err unlike WoW did 7 years ago. There is vastly more copmpetition out there so people have FAR shorter leniency towards things like this. A little more warning would go A LONG way to helping.
