  1. When i went into CPU z it said my video memory was -371?? Sorry it took me so long to reply but its been a busy day, I did switch the old RAM back in and its the same. and I know for a fact it wasn't that bad. the game was playable but a little choppy at times... now I can't navigate an empty cooridor... and the RAM is the right speed in CPU z 550 was a guestimate because I wouldn't remember.. I tried to find the memory allocation in the BIOS but I'm not too familiar with BIOS. so that failed.
  2. i downloaded cpu z and my memory speed is at like 550 mhz... is that right?.. if it's 1333 or even clocked down to 1066 shouldnt it be that? not half? edit* had a brain fart.. 2 channel each with 500ish.. adds up to 1066.. that correct thinking?
  3. I do play with shadows off... everything is low with shadows off.. my problem is not the choppiness... well of is... the problem is I upgraded to 8 gigs and its worse.. ill have to try memtest when I get home... and if the RAM will get downclocked like he said, then it shouldn't be a problem??..
  4. Well the memory i pulled out has 1333 labeled on it.. could it be a strange coincidence that that's the part number? LOL..
  5. Well, either way. It shouldnt have made my game run worse adding RAM lol. what kinda specs do you need? model is asus u52f-bbl5.
  6. Well, for one. The game was a little laggy and choppy with my original ram. but it was playable. Now it's not. I put 4gx2 corsair 1333mhz (which is what came out of the laptop) in. Corsair is a good brand and usually use it for memory. Is there anyway to tell if it's a "bad stick" because it my computer spec screen is says 8gigs 7.76 available or whatever it is. and the reason i wanted to upgrade was to go into bios and try and dedicate some of the ram for the video memory only. try and improve performance. i don't have space for a desktop or 1500 bucks to spend on a sick gaming laptop i just want to drudge by on low settings a little less choppy lol. And i don't lable this as a "crappy" computer. it played wow, and plenty of other games pretty decently on mediumish graphics. if i could swap out the video card in it i would, i was almost tempted to take it apart to see if it had a free mxm port but since its integrated it prolly wouldnt work.
  7. Hey guys, I need some help. I run the game on a laptop an asus u52f its a 2.3 I3 with 4gigs or RAM (now 8), sadly no video card just an Intel integrated =[. But anyway I can post more specs when I'm in front of my computer.. I just upgraded to 8 gigs and my framerate is now horrendous... 10x worse than with my old RAM.. the game is like playing a flip book... Any help or suggestions would ne greatly appreciated...
