  1. Ever since I played DAoC I've always created a "main" character for the opposing side. I was always curious about what game content I was missing from my "enemies" point of view. I usually create a few characters of various classes and see which one I adhere to best before I level up to max level. My guilded "main" is a Smuggler but as an Imp I chose the Arsenal Merc. You have a lot of variety to chose from which imo is often better then just straight dps. You have good survivability and good dps to go with it as well, throw in some healing and getting groups won't be a problem what so ever. My Merc is level 28, my marauder is level 22 and my Agent is 19. Out of the three I like the Merc best and I will hit 50 with it. I also think if you like something you'll put more effort into it.
  2. Well there you have it, to each their own. It's good to see that a lot of people like it as is it just goes to show that there is something for everyone. I'm only level 21 so I can imagine it will be kind of crowded as my crew numbers grow. BH so far is my favorite Imperial class so I will hit 50 with him. Peace! Cyrics
  3. While the ships on the ground it looks very formidable but when you're flying it around in combat it looks like a refrigerator with thrusters on all sides. I am down with the fact that it's a pick up truck and not a Corvette but a pick up truck has a lot more room.
  4. The Agent ship and the Sith Ship are two of the nicer ships in the game, I actually like all of the other ships in the game but the Bounty Hunter ship is just simply lack luster design wise. I'm not complaining about the decor being dark and dingy it's a bounty Hunter ship not the love boat. I just mean the design of it in itself is cheap. You walk from the bridge hop over the Holoemitter (which takes up the entire "rec" space) and you're in your captains quarters everything else is below in a straight line. The Smugglers ship isn't pretty on the inside compared to the other ships (in terms of color and decor) but it's vast and roomy. Like I said the BH ship just feels like a studio apt. I also wouldn't mind if it looked a little more formidable on the outside either.
  5. As far as ships go I would have to say the Bounty Hunter's ship is by far the least coolest looking ship and by far the least roomy. I have a ship for every class and the Bounty Hunter ship feels like the equivalent to a studio apartment. It's a base straight forward design and the exterior looks cheap.....and I mean really cheap. It should look a little more formidable since it's the "trooper" class for the imperials and the Troopers ship blows it out of the water. Some of the interior on the bounty hunter's ship looks like it was taken from a trash compactor.
  6. Who you wish to roll with depends on how you wish to play. Akavvi - When I was skilled as a Sharp Shooter I used Akavvi, she can definitely take a beating and deal some severe punishment. Her tanking skills are good and she managed to keep group mobs on her while I just sat back tossed a few grenades picked a target and snuffed them out. If you give her a good weapon she'll take peons out without a problem. Risha - Around level 40 (maybe 41) I respec'ed from Sharp Shooter to Sabotage for the aoe damage. I switched to using Risha because I kept reading how her dps was awesome. She did not disappoint, now on boss mobs when I have aggro I either kite or use LOS to have the boss stay on me and she usually kills them. If she doesn't she will eventually pull aggro back allowing you to unload on the boss. She can also take a hit and imho isn't as squishy as Bowdarr. Go figure!? Guss - What's to say about having your own personal healer? It's awesome! If you just want a shoot out and blast away at anything and anyone Guss will certainly do his best to keep you alive. The only thing I will caution you against is becoming over confident. Having your own healer will make you bold which is fine but don't get carried away. So it depends on how you want to play or how the situation before you developes. I chose a smuggler because I don't like being a one trick pony and this class gives you a variety of ways to take out an opponent. I stay with this rotation of companions and I'm confident that I can handle whatever the galaxy tosses my way. I'm level 47 now and obviously still learning my tricks of the trade so there's always room for improvement. Peace!

  8. Thank you for this guide, I've been looking at the saboteur build for a while but since I started working up the the Sharp shooter tree I've basically stayed with it. I haven't PvP'ed much because I don't like getting pounded by other players 10+ levels over me. So I just decided to PvE until I get to 50 then catch up on PvP. For PvE I have no problem with an SS build it's very strong against single targets and most mobs just sit still and let you fire away at them from cover but of course that won't be the case in PvP. The Sab build you have looks very nice because it's built for mobility and some power and I'm very used to that because I usually play range classes. On paper the only adjustment I would make would be to get Incendiary bomb. I see to many things I can do with that ability that would certainly make it worth while to get. Then again everyone has their own play style so it just may not be in yours. Thanks again! Cyrics
  9. There's no reason why this shouldn't be in game. If you don't want to use it then don't. I don't understand half the arguments against having this tool in game. You put yourself in the LFG que then go about your business. You can explore, quest, pvp, craft & chat all you want.
  10. I agree with the original poster and thank you for an entertaining post. It accurately explained the same problems I'm having with Bowdaar and made me laugh. I'm only level 35 and I don't have the best gear on him but all his gear is current to my level although its green. So is Corso and yet he can certainly tank better or perhaps I should say he can take damage better than Bowdaar. For a Wookie that's been fighting as a slave for over 100 years and is undefeated he flat out sucks. Such a big reputation and so little in performance, what a let down. Of course I haven't put him on the shelf yet because everyone has a soft spot for wookies.
