  6. Losing 40% of your health in a GCD from 1 player means you need to L2P, stop clicking, and realize there are defensives in this game. Gearing up takes about 2 days....the difference b/w Obroan and brutalizer is minimal and by the sounds of it won't make a difference for you at all. In fact, Obroan is more than good enough for ranked. At the end of the day, it simply sucks to suck. /holohoop2

  13. Ya, joined a month before they quit...and nothing on my post refers to personally doing so. Just some clarification for noobs such as yourself who constantly get owned that LD did not get dominated in PVP o PoT5.
  14. Lol, calm down forum warrior - what is your source on this? Were you in LD? Were you on PoT5? Did you do 8v8s? Do you even PVP? The answer to all of these questions is undoubtedly no, unless of course you can provide a reference, as I have never noticed/heard of you. Every match played was recorded until about a week before LD disbanded, and you can rest assured only one guild "owned" LD, that being Casual, and only 1 or 2 other teams had a winning record. I thought all the bitter nublets that were continuously roflstomped to the point it actually affected their RL day had finished providing their invaluable 2 cents already? What a shame.

  16. Comps were screwed up, I saw 3 dps/1 tank, 2 healers/2dps, etc... This is messed up, but team ranked is the way to go anyways I don't feel that it shows any superiority in PvP. It comes down to who opens and burns the first target fastest imo. The difference is in old ranked there would be much more coordination, guarding, cc'ing, strategy, etc. Burning a target is precisely what PVP is all about....the difference is that coordination, cc'ing, strategy, etc. decision making occurs at a much more rapid pace. Players can no longer be carried, and weaker teams can no longer win by having a better ping or by running a turtle comp. Don't get me wrong, I loved 8v8 ranked, but many of the objectives (or subjectives as I'd like to call them) were dependent on broken game mechanics, and deathmatches eliminate this issue. What I really don't like, and they've addressed it via the forums (musco): Getting half the regular coms for winning the old warzones. Agreed, not smart Overall, I think 2.4 a solid step forward, but I'm still on the fence about the game as there is still very little competition in the game due to the lack of players.

Against a good team carnage/combat is not as effective in a ranked setting for most maps b/c while you have a lot of control/utility, CC's, slows, and taunts are very detrimental to the spec's damage output. That said, if u have a sent/mara in the Pit or CW, (and esp considering the fact they'll be taking the side speeders out of CW soon), one of them should be running combat so it is necessary to master it. Also, IMO you can tell the difference b/w a good and an exceptional mara/sent by how they play combat/carnage. On JC all I ran was combat/carnage, but unfortunately on PoT5 I literally have seen less than 3-4 maras/sents running combat/carnage (even in pit) and have had no choice but to run smash in every map other than the pit/CW.
