  1. You realise that there's a two minute cool down on cloaking screen right? And if stealthing up and waiting for backstab and explosive probe to come back off cool down an enemy could have healed twice by then or ran towards their team. Operatives rely on stupid enemies to get kills, whether that is running around solo without full hp or panicking as soon as they see their health go down.
  2. No you aren't. Even if EVERY skill crits it's impossible for an operative to kill you within the period that you're stunned from hidden strike and debilitate, I play an operative and the best I can ever hope for is to get an enemy down to 25% within that time period but usually it's around 50% and then they are left with full resolve. The only reason operatives are able to kill mercs is because most merc players are bad and will panic after the opener instead of realising that even if they are at 30% hp they can still win a damage race against a full hp operative that has blown their burst. Knock back, power surge, 2x heal (if needed), shield, stun and button mash - if you have net then it's not even a fair fight at all.

Still, managed to do this just now and I've topped damage every game tonight usually doing 500k-600k apart from the one game where a full tank spec jugg chased me around all game. I've played every AC to at least 50 valor and sorc is the one that I consider the easiest to play effectively, all you have to do is get kiting down and learn the resolve mechanics, there aren't even that many buttons to use - I use far more on my guardian, shadow and operative. Since 2.0 has gone live I've played over 20 WZs on my sorc and have been top damage on my team every time, with my guardian I've only been top damage about 50% of the time because with the influx of snipers I just get slowed and raped from range before even being able to apply damage.
  5. Yes they are, much better and they will only improve more once the TKK goes down once people are wearing 55 pvp gear instead of pvping bolstered.
  6. Mercs only issue was a slight lack of dps and lack of a slowing ability, now they are in a good place. I've found that merc was the easiest class to top damage lists with and I've tried out all specs of operative, guardian, shadow and sorc in 2.0 for several matches each. You just find a nice spot and sit there spamming and if a melee decides to come for you damage is so high at the moment that by the time they get back after the knockback they are low enough to face tank unless they pop defensive cool downs, in which case you pop electronet and kite them out. If everything crits you can almost gib a squishy WHILE RUNNING by doing 2x instant cast tracer, heat seeker, railshot and sticky grenade.
  7. They have to use all their cooldowns AND get very lucky critting every hit to be able to do this, and it relies on your CC breaker being down. Yes it sucks when it happens but if their burst or cc is nerfed then they will be completely useless, as in open pvp they suck compared to other classes where they just get knocked back, slowed and raped by ranged.
  8. What am I missing here? People talk about using it whenever it's off cooldown and there are talents in the vigilance tree to reset it's cd but I find it very underwhelming, it's basically a melee range force lightening that doesn't have the slow along with it or proc anything special. Added to the fact that the damage is end loaded and enemies have either ran away or knocked back before it ticks... yeah I don't even use it in pvp, am I just being a ******* and missing something obvious here?

Now that missile blast procs combustable chamber at 100% chance we have mobility and a reliable snare, as well as some increased dps through other talents (such as crit damage added to Power Shot) pyro is starting to look much more appealing. Thoughts and is there something that I'm over looking that?

Check your stats window as a lvl 10 sniper in a WZ, you get the damage mitigation of a tank and HEAVILY boosted damage to your attacks - my lvl 10 Sniper hits harder than my champion equipped Gunslinger. I think Sniper is the strongest lvl 10 character actually, it's all downhill after that though as the boosted stats are far more useful than the talent points.
