  1. 700 per tick force lightning. Ticks 4 times in 3 seconds. Affliction doing 500 damage per tick Crushing darkness doing 200 damage in very fast intervals. Instant cast 3k damage death field. Unlimited resource. How can a sniper compete with that damage?
  2. Doesn't look like Snipers do more damage...Force Lightning spam is insane. 700 a tick? Where can a sniper do that much damage without going below 60 energy? Not to mention unlimited resource as a sorc...
  3. Yeah, but you can get those titles by playing the other sith classes not just sorcs. Why sorcs??
  4. I'm on the empire side. I know we have a lot of players as opposed to the republic side. But it is getting a little crazy when 70% of my guild are playing Sith Sorcerers and almost every single time I get into a HM FP group, there will be 2 sorcerers (one healing and one DPSing). Is there a reason for this? Does everyone just love lightning or is there something I'm missing?
  5. What I'm afraid of is how snipers/gunslingers become pointless in HM FPs and OPs. Why bring one if other classes can provide similar if not better DPS while providing better support? It seems pointless to ever bring a sniper/gunslinger.
  6. Actually, loot part is true. After all, we have about 8 sorcs already readying up for 16man ops. Question is, if sorcs do more damage than snipers in the end, what is the point of being a sniper at that point?
  7. Yes I do. While I love my IA character more, I want to be useful in ops and hard modes. I love to DPS and I want to be able to put out the best kind of DPS rather than subpar DPS.
  8. I suppose this is true. It's just that sith sorc is so...easy. I feel like snipers got the short end of the stick.
  9. Sorcs do more damage. Sorcs have better utility. Sorcs have better mobility. Sorcs are far more useful in damage and utility that sorcs in any hard modes/operations. So why play a sniper in any aspect of PVE in this game?
  10. Are we good enough or are we subpar compared to sith sorcerers?
  11. If I'm away from an enemy, about 15m+, I can't seem to see any damage numbers flying around when I attack an enemy. Any way around this?
  12. Finding groups is getting tedious now...seirously
  13. Do I have to do 100 Hard Modes to get a gear through commendations?
  14. Or will they be obsolete when you start getting hardmode/raid gear? Can I still mod them to be as effective or will mods be useless?
  15. Who in the world designed it and why? The set piece bonuses are the worst of all the classes. It is by far the worst set bonus in the game. Please revisit the set bonuses and change the bonuses.
  16. Republic story lines can't be that bad. Maybe they got good characters like Smugglers!
  17. Hmm, most of the time I get the answer: because empire is more bad ***. Why can't the republic be bad ***? They can couldn't they?
  18. Really? Is there a reason why people prefer empire over republic? I just don't get it. Republic characters aren't all that bad. Smugglers are awesome. And republics are the good guys! They save the universe from the evil sith empire!
  19. Maybe for healer, but what about all the other roles?
  20. Forgot to mention: since auto attacks are abilities and GCD capped, alacrity does nothing for that compared to WoW.
  21. For sorcerers/sages, maybe, when they spam force lightning/telekinetic throw(?). The problem is that they also use DoTs and DoTs are not affected by alacrity. And the faster you spam abilities, the more likely you will be out of force/energy/heat and therefore renders it moot. Did bioware even put any thought into this stat at all? It's like they just gave us alacrity because WoW had haste and they didn't bother to scale it like Blizzard did. Yes, Blizzard took awhile before they thought about haste scaling with DoTs and GCD but why not learn from that? Honestly, Alacrity should just increase the amount of resources we gain per second for force/energy and for the rest, something similar.
  22. It doesn't decrease the GCD and the faster you can cast your abilities, the more energy/force you consume and therefore you will be resource starved sooner which then makes Alacrity provide zero increase in damage. I think Alacrity should increase energy/force regeneration as well, there's no reason to take it over any other stat.
