For sorcerers/sages, maybe, when they spam force lightning/telekinetic throw(?). The problem is that they also use DoTs and DoTs are not affected by alacrity. And the faster you spam abilities, the more likely you will be out of force/energy/heat and therefore renders it moot. Did bioware even put any thought into this stat at all? It's like they just gave us alacrity because WoW had haste and they didn't bother to scale it like Blizzard did. Yes, Blizzard took awhile before they thought about haste scaling with DoTs and GCD but why not learn from that? Honestly, Alacrity should just increase the amount of resources we gain per second for force/energy and for the rest, something similar.
