  1. The percentage of people who threaten to quit on forums is much greater the actual number of people who follow through
  2. Not necessarily... the psychology is more complex than that. Stockholm Syndrome and etc.
  3. Steve Jobs once said, "Real artists ship." Space Combat is something that obviously has a lot of room to grow. It's a fun little distraction for now.
  4. Don't join groups for quests you do not have the time required to complete. Simple.
  5. While I was never a huge WoW fan, I was a huge fan of the modable client. I think I spent more time screwing with the client and trying add-on off Curse than anything else. I was disappointing with the UI in general in this game and While I won't go as far as to OP and say they are a must and all "modern" mmo's need them. I was surprised they weren't part of SWTOR because I always found they take a load of work off the developers when it comes to UI and Tools and hands it off to the community allowing the developers to focus on content rather than UI flash. It also creates a core of die hard modders and fans who help drive the game and it's features.
  6. Learn your abilities. Use your taunts to keep agro on you and not your companions. Learn how to mitigate damage when you need to toss up a saber ward or Invincible; don't just slap it on at the start of every fight. Use Backhand, Force Push, and Force Choke to break combat and allow you companion time to heal you. Endure Pain is a great emergency heal. Develop a comfortable rotation on you abilities. You don't like to watch cooldowns fine...but then you need to develop a logical rotation that will bring them off timer in the most efficient manner. Just hitting any old attack that is off timer will waste rage and be very ineffective. Once you have a system, you won't have to watch. Quinn, ftw. Others may DPS better but until you are comfortable have Quinn keep you upright. Target selection... take down the easy one's first. It might take 30 seconds to drop the Elite and 10 to drop each of his buddies. Drop the buddies. You will take less damage if they are down when you focus on the Elite. Discretion is the better part of valor. Some fights are unwinnable. Avoid them. Stims are a nice boost. Use them accordingly.
  7. I'm at 35ish and play with my GF (Inquisitor). Quinn has always been able to heal our 4 man party without too much effort. Make sure he is in Med Watch stance and go.
  8. I would agree. Upgrade the Power Supply... Right now you can grab a decent 700w supply for 60 Bucks after rebate. It's essentially half off... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341018
  9. I would be interested to know as well I have some friends who rolled on different servers and a number of us would like to consolidate and reform our old guild without starting from scratch. I'm sure people would pay for this feature...hint, hint Bioware.
  10. Ahhh, I get your point now. If you are the same class only one of you gets credit and sometimes only one can even enter the instance. Yes, this is annoying.
  11. My GF and I play together and we run each others class quests. You get XP for the bonuses. You get XP for the kills. You get loot from the kills. The quests get completed quicker. So, I guess what I'm saying OP is I fail to see your point.
  12. Dual Spec is a must have feature in my opinion. One of the more annoying things in an MMO is having to wait for a group to form. Dual Spec allows for faster and more efficient group building. A player shouldn't be put in a position to have to respec to run solo and respec again for groups. I very much support adding this option to the game.
  13. No, there are places to find cross-faction GTN's. The standard ones should remain faction only.
  14. This is an interesting point as well. A number of the more frustrating jumps that seemed to bug out were jumps from rounded objects where edge detection could be different than what one is actually seeing.
  15. Yes, the great mystery of go to the shuttle pad finally unraveled through your skilled running around in circles. The fact that it doesn't even green the correct fast travel location is no indication that it may be a bug. The fact that every other quest has at least some indication of the target isn't a clue. The multiple posts requesting coords isn't a signal that the quest is frustrating players . Thanks for stopping by but until your title says BIOWARE your opinion on whether or not it is a bug carries zero weight.
  16. I would have to disagree here. MY GF and I both play and I have gotten jumping datacrons on both our characters because she has gotten severely frustrated at jumping (she is usually a better platformer than me). I used to laugh at her and give her a hard time because she smokes me at platforming in most games but after trying her character on my machine I feel her pain. I think some of the character models/classes/races have weird hitches in their jumps. I have been fairly successful on my Zabrak Juggernaut no major issues making jumps once I get the range and feel down but on her Human Sorcerer I had an awful time on Tatoonie going for the Datacron in the city. Dozens and dozens of attempts and her character would always hitch and fail to respond at some point in the jumping sequence. (I grabbed this cron on the 4 or 5 try on my Juggy.) This is even when running on the same PC so hardware and latency are out of the equation. There is often a weird hitch in the jump for her Sorcerer that I don't have to deal with on my Juggernaut. My obviously limited test leads me to believe seems to be off in the engine with jumping for some race class combo. I generally don't mind the platforming and I like the exploration aspect but I believe jumping needs to be looked at and improved in the future to make it more fluid.
  17. /Signed I agree with the OP. Getting knocked out of the GM in the middle of browsing is really annoying.
  18. The quest tracker doesn't properly track the quest. No information is indicated on the map and it's not even remotely obvious where one has to go to continue the quest.
  19. So, I have been spending a little time with my Smuggler and I have noticed that the performance and behavior of Barrage is Very Inconsistent to Unusable. I originally assumed it was just me and I wasn't lining things up well but after some further testing I found it doesn't seem to matter even if I line up my targets perfectly in front of me Barrage may fire off into space, it may fire front and hit nothing or if the stars align it will actually damage multiple targets. I don't think the issue is me. I wouldn't be upset to be proven wrong but I'm fairly certain this ability needs some developer attention.
