  1. If you are in a pug throw down your big aoe heal or toss a few heals on the guys with 18k+ health (probably tanks) before the match starts to let them know you are a healer. Ususally they will throw a guard on you which will transfer a lot of your damage to them, plus increase defenses. They like to do it because it give them protection medals. You just need to stay in the range of the tank and give them a few heals so it is effective. Your survivability will drastically increase this way. Its a good idea to find a tank friend to que with. Most of the other options have all been described above. When I get focused on with out a tank I usually bubble if possible and hit speed if its up or just start running for cover. While running put on your dot heal, purge (for some more health and get the dots off). If they continue to tirelessly chase you, which most of them do, run them over to your buddies. Good Luck.
  2. Clever DUNE reference use 7/10 Mine is Anorexor Stormstrider (sounded like a dark side version of skywalker )

It does seem worse now. They really need to put back in some lvl 50 blue pvp gear that can be bought with commendations prior to hitting 50. I had read somewhere they were going to do this. Now would be a good time.

Stay out of my warzones. Why should I be able to tell with about 90% accuracy if we are going to win or lose before the game even starts? You get 3 or 4 guys with less than 13k health and it's going to be an uphill battle from the start. There is only so much my 3-4 man premade can overcome. Last night in 50's Warzone there was a guy with 10,080 health! I'm used to the few 12k health guys here and there and even seen some survive long enough to make it across the board to pull someone and make a play. When you show up to a match looking like a half naked carnival clown, you might want to save up a few duckets and buy yourself some gear before you come in here wasting our time. Honestly, we would be better off with out you. You grab the ball and die, I waste my heals on you, you can't survive anything long enough to call for help, god forbid someone throws a ball to you. You're like the clumsy little fat kid that always gets picked last. Put down the twinkies, find the GTN, run up and down Belsavis and illum doing dailies and get in shape bro! I don't have the option of keeping you out of my game, but at least you can have the common courtesy to go pve for a bit, pony up the cash for a couple of relics, upgrade those lvl 35 greens to some blues or even purples. Bringing your broke a** toon to pvp for some "easy quick loot" is actually keeping other people from gearing up as fast. I know we all have to start somewhere, but really is it too much to ask? Thanks, I feel better now.
  5. I have only leveled one class in SWTOR so far and I'm curious to learn more about the other classes and their strengths and weaknesses. In that other MMO I knew what each class did and knowing how to counter them made me a better player. I have pvp'd a bit as a Sorceror Healer and I am often amused at the tatics or lack thereof when people attack me. So educate me on what we should and shouldn't do when fighting or defending against your class. I will go first. Sith Sorceror - Heal Spec 1. Obviously most people want to burn down the healer, but that can be difficult if there is a gear differntial or you are solo. The most important thing to do to beat me is to watch my cast bar and interrupt intelligently. 2. Make interrupting Dark Infusion your top priority and do it at the end of its cast time 1.5 or 2.5 secs depending on scenario. It is our big heal and can heal for 5k+ on a crit. 3. If you see innervate casting interrupt it immediately. If its more than half way done don't bother interrupting. It is a channel heal with a cool down that your lock out won't really effect. 4. Revivication is our big aoe heal. It has a really long 3 sec cast time and a long cooldown. Honestly, I would just beat down on me through this cast and let it go off and wait for a Dark Infusion. The spell doesn't heal for more than you can dps and it seems to suffer more push back during casting. 5. Be patient, Dont start interrupting until after my shield is down. If a second shield goes up immediately, burn through that one before you interrupt. By that time you should have a good 20 or so seconds to beat on me/interrupt until I can shield again. 6. Remeber if you are beating on me effectively I am too busy trying to keep myself up to be healing others. 7. If you see a blue shield around me or at my feet and you are doing only half damage to me then type my name in your ops channel and say "kill Anorexor he is a healer" because you are probably going to need friends until my tank dies. 8. Make use of all of your interrupts, anything that pulls me, pushes, knocks down etc. is going to interrupt those casts. 9. At some point I am going to try to run away if I am getting the beat down, especially if you are melee. I would save your charge, pull or whatever you have to close distance for that moment, I wouldn't use it as an opener unless you have to. 10. Not much to worry about offensively from a heal spec sorc. Yeah evenutally i will get in enough shocks, DOTs and force lightning to maybe kill somebody, but I'd rather be healing a DPS to do it for me. So , how would you kill you?
  6. I had similar issues when I first hit 50 last week. It has been frustrating at times, but give it a couple of weeks. I can already tell a difference now that I have been able to get 6 pieces of champion gear (lucky rng). It takes a different play style at 50 than it did 10-49. Things happen a lot faster and you have to be a lot more careful to stay out of trouble. Team work, especially in Huttball, is an even bigger advantage than it was at 10-49. The other big issue I see is queing solo. When you que solo you usually wind up replacing someone who either: a) just left the match because he knew who he was up against was going to be a tough fight. b) left the match early because they were already losing. I notice a huge improvement in wins/losses when I can que with even one other person, because you don't become the substitue for a lost cause half of the time. Head up! it's going to hurt for a little while, but it will get better.
