I think they're fun. *shrugs* and while I might not be as awesome as picking up EXP as some people, it helps me build some of that as well.

Generally, in forums that are based at the companies web site you'll get a lot of negative reaction. I've experienced this from a number of different games I've checked. Honestly, I think it's kind of how things are in general. If you read the comments section under articles posted on newspapers web sites you see they tend to be more slanted toward the negative as well. So, while I think you can find valid complaints and such on the boards, it's not, as some others have already indicated a good barometer on how the masses view things, because I don't think the masses post on these message boards which ties in with what the original poster noticed on when he went to Repub Fleet as well.
