I'm a ST spec, I wonder if he'd be helpful for me.

I'm a PT on Hoth right now and I met Blizz. Don't have him as a companion yet, but he's hilarious and I'd love to have that little bugger around. I just maxed Mako's affection, and want some DPS instead. I'm using Gault, and he's really strong, I just find myself having to rest more between fights without Mako's heals. How is Blizz as an active companion? Is he DPS or heals? Squishy? What conversations does he like? I'd love to use him, but I need to make sure he's viable. Any input is appreciated.

Keep in mind that choosing crew skills is not completely binding. You can unlearn them / learn new ones at any point. As for your question, yes, as of now Armstech/Armormech are essentially useless, as you obtain the gear you need as you quest. I am an Armormech, however, just keeping my fingers crossed that eventually BioWare will give us a nice buff. Biotech is really good for leveling, as it gives you essentially free medpacs/stims for life. You should NEVER, I repeat, NEVER die as a Mercenary with unlimited medpacs. I say go Diplomacy. It will provide you with the ingredients you need for advanced recipes as well as companion gifts to keep your crew running faster, and unlock possible quests for them. Slicing just isn't efficient enough, IMO. Hope this helped :]

It's more about playstyle than anything. I did Pyro for awhile, nice sustained DPS, but I had a bit of downtime between fights. I've been straight Shieldtech since level 20, and yes the fights take a little longer, but I can clear two packs of mobs at once and leave with 80% health. Keep Mako around. Always.

I believe if you look in the Codex, it specifically mentions that Slicing doesn't really have any matches. It'll get you schematics, but as far as assisting other crew skills, nada.

Will I lose my annoying DS facial aesthetics? I know I can turn them off, I'd just like them to be gone permanently.

I'm a level 32 Powertech, Dark IV. I'm starting to get sick of the dark-side choices, and want to revert to LS. However, I don't want to just be grey-neutral. I have Underworld Trading up to about 250, but was considering dropping it for Diplomacy. Has anyone ever completely turned their character around with Diplomacy? I'm talking 5000+ LS points here. Possible?

I just started a Juggy, and picked up Diplomacy. I am getting 5 dark side points per mission. Do these points increase as I go up through Grade 2, 3, 4 etc. missions? If so, by how much? Also, is there anyone here who's been deep into DS/LS and made a complete turnaround just through Diplomacy missions? Thanks.
