  1. I see a team organized enough to set up a stealth plant against a team with a bunch of melee's fighting off the door. The better team won. What's supposed to be the problem?
  2. Dear Bioware - Please accept my application for an internship. I would be more than willing to go from office to office to collect changes that are being implemented in the next patch, write them down on a piece of paper, and post them to your website. If you would like, I would also be willing to log into a test server and confirm that these changes are actually in the game. The amount of face and fan goodwill this would save you is priceless.
  3. This. Go ahead and grind BP if you are honestly convinced it's the most fun you have playing this game. Unless, of course, this isn't about "fun" and is instead about getting upset that someone fixed a loophole you were exploiting for credits.
  4. Not saying it's right, but you should be used to this by now. I can't think of a single encounter in the game where a melee dps is preferable to ranged, but the reverse is certainly true.
  5. I've tanked it and taunts worked. Don't know what to tell you
  6. Hardmode boss drops the same thing Hardmode/Nightmare Soa does. It should be hard, finally a challenging flashpoint (due to something other than bugs)!
  7. I am, but if it's working for everyone else I've probably broken something somewhere.
  8. I'm fine with the system letting you choose gear to put your raid level armorings/mods/enhancements into. What I'm not ok with is the raid level armor appearances being silly to wear because they lack an augment slot.
  9. I only object if raiding becomes "Yes! The gear I'm wearing gets a level higher enhancement!" instead of "Yes, I get an awesome new piece of armor!" I don't want to be wearing the same piece of armor the entire time just because I was able to afford crit crafted gear from the start.
  10. I've been reading the Q&A and all Dev tracker posts up to this point. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but currently it appears that in 1.2 crit crafted orange gear will be the highest endgame gear for min/maxers. If this is correct, I wholeheartedly object. I really hate the idea of finally downing NM Boss <insert name here> and getting the gear, exclaiming "YES! I can finally rip all the mods from this gear and put it into something I'll buy off the GTN!" I understand there was a huge mistake with crafting when this game launched. There is no reason to make it the end all be all of items in this game. All that you need is an augment slot in the raid drops and everyone can be happy (if this is true on the PTS someone please correct me). I would really hate for my awesome looking raid armor to have to be replaced by whatever a crafter can crit just so I can have the best stats possible.
  11. Wait, is it 1M credits or the pot that the winner gets? There could be quite a difference.
  12. Why don't we just remove the binding system? That way we can all do whatever we want and just buy whatever makes us feel good about ourselves off the GTN!
  13. This happens to me frequently, I wish they would.
  14. I was reading most of these posts and getting confused about if the "What bugs?" people were playing the same game I was, but now I know I'm not. Get off the forum and actually play the game
  15. Agreed. Minor nitpick: Huttball winner in the case of a tie is determined by who is holding onto the ball. Someone with so much PvP experience should know this. Also don't really care about the door markings, they work well enough. The rest is completely true. Instead of increasing valor gain in WZs so that valor rank/ability to earn medals is irrelevant they should have added some relevant medals. Scoring in Huttball doesn't even give objective points towards the medals, it's ridiculous. Outlaw's Den seems really cool except there's no motivation to go there besides botting. PvP in TOR seems to have gone from existing just to put something on the box to "Oh ****, this is actually popular because people don't have anything else to do at endgame."
  16. Don't forget that they are adding in the ability to purchase BM tokens with WZ commendations.
  17. With the massive bonus to valor gain in the upcoming patch, people will be able to attain top tier PvP gear incredibly quickly once they hit 50. Anyone who is willing to put in a little effort (less than it takes to run HM FPs or normal mode Ops) can now get gear that's almost as good as Rakata for PvE. Is PvP progression too quick or the gear too close in power level?
  18. Randal: "There was something else going on in Jedi. I never noticed it 'til today. They build another Death Star, Right?" Dante: "Yeah." Randal: "Now, the first one was completed and fully operational before the rebels destroyed it." Dante: "Luke blew it up. Give credit where credit's due." Randal: "And the second one was still being built when they blew it up." Dante: "Comliments of Lando Calrissian." Randal: "Something just never sat right with me that second time around. I could never put my finger on it, but something just wasn't right." Dante: "And you figured it out." Randal: "The first Death Star was manned by the Imperial army. The only people on board were Storm troopers, Dignitaries, Imperialists." Dante: "Basically." Randal: "So when they blew it up, no problem. Evil's punished." Dante: "And the second time around?" Randal: "The second time around it wasn't even done beind built yet. It was still under construction." Dante: "So?" Randal: "So, a construction job of that magnitude would require a hell of lot more manpower than the Imperial army had to offer. I'll bet they brought independent contractors in on that thing. Plumbers, aluminum siders, roofers--" Dante: "Not just Imperialists. Is that what you're getting at?" Randal: "Exactly. In order to get it built quickly and quietly, they'd hire anybody that could do the job. You think the average Storm Trooper knows how to install a toilet main? All's they know is killing and white uniforms." Dante: "Alright, so, they bring in independent contractors. Why are you so upset at it's destruction." Randal: "All those innocent contractors brought in to do the job are killed, casualtios of a war they had nothing to do with. Alright, look, you a roofer. Some juicy government contract comes your way. You got a wife and kids, the two-story in suburbia. This is a government contract which means all sorts of benefits. Along come these left-wing militants who blast everything within a three-mile radius with their lasers. You didn't ask for that; you had no personal politics. You're just trying to scrape out a living." OH GOD WHY DID YOU LET YOUR CHILDREN WATCH STAR WARS?! THINK OF THE CHILDREN!
  19. It's actually kind of offensive that someone made a conscious decision to leave them out. I would like to hear the reasoning behind that.
  20. Not to try and blow any minds, but if OP is eating all the stuns/roots the other team has to offer (not to mention the coordination/attention required by the other team to ensure they aren't filling his immunity or are full rooting him when it does)... WHAT ARE THE OTHER SEVEN PLAYERS ON YOUR TEAM DOING? They clearly aren't being CC'd.
  21. This thread is a great idea! The size of Ilum is make death actually mean something. If we (hopefully) manage to get large groups battling it out, killing people wouldn't have a noticeable effect if they could just run back into the fray immediately. As for faction imbalance - that is currently a problem and probably for another topic. It's going to be a big issue regardless of whether Ilum is turned into an awesome world MOBA-style battlefield or just kept the way it is.
  22. Op is right! I just hit 50 and got put into the 50's bracket and everyone there has better gear and beat me!
  23. I'm starting to gear up with Centurion/Champion gear and I can't decide between Force-Master and Force Stalker gear for my Deception Assassin. Survival is clearly for tankasins, and Mystic is for sorc's. Which is better? Also, does it really matter that much as I'm going to probably end up stripping out the crit/surge mods/enhancements from redundant pieces of gear I get and throwing them in the pieces that don't have them?
