Yeah upon re-reading my post I think some people might misunderstand me. Basically I just want to play and get as many people involved as I can. The more people participating in ranked the better. I also really like grouping for regs. I have been away from the game for a while and I have never cared too much for trying to understand all the social dynamics around PvP on different servers. I have no clue who has been participating recently so I hope I didn't piss anyone off. My philosophy is just be vocal and welcoming to any player that has interest. It seems like ranked communities across all the servers end up being way too exclusive and only a small group of people participate. One way to help mitigate that is by grouping with people you don't usually group with periodically. Doesn't have to be every day and use alts if you want to. IMO It is more fun to be involved when everybody recognizes each other and helps those looking to get better. In the NHL there are superstars, people that hate each other, some who pop in and out of the minors, and those who only want to win. But over the years everybody still gets to know and respect each other from across teams in part because their joy couldn't continue without a healthy network. BW only does so much for us... so we should try our best to keep things healthy.

Hey K'xx here. You are in <Ghost Infantry> right? Well I am too and I am always down for ranked PvP in any form (other than stupid win trading which they are apparently cracking down on now). Will be on a shadow for the most part. You can see a few other posts I have recently made on the Harbinger forums for a bit more detail. I am away from my gaming setup until Sunday Feb 15th because of spring break at my school. I am happy with our guild community but there are definitely a lot of people who just do regs only and never touch ranked. I understand the game is about fun so it doesn't bother me, but I want to figure out the people who are willing to field teams regularly and keep a presence in the ranked scene as things progress because I know we have them. Too many people just give up after facing Lukewarm a few times and never que again... which is a shame because we have a lot of great players! I know being involved with ranked has many frustrations, the biggest probably being low populations, so if you are serious about putting teams in often I am interested in gaming with you. I look forward to playing with you.

Hey unfortunately I will be unavailable for the start of the season. It is reading week (spring break) at my university and I am away from my gaming setup until Sunday February 15th. I usually can play in the range from ~3pm PST late into the night depending on what's happening in school. I will find you when I get back to the game next Sunday. Hey K'xx here on Pub side. Just another thread about ranked pvp to increase visibility and community interest (failed many times before). Feel free to post que times, kickball invites, singles looking for a team, and brag. Many players have a hard time getting involved so hopefully this can get a few randoms working together. I have mained a shadow (dps) since release so I have lots of experience with the class which is most OP right now. Came back from a year hiatus about a month ago so only 60's right now are shadow and a sin. Have Operative, Slinger, Jugg, Vanguard all 50+ and various other lowbies for other class experience. I have some experience with the old 8 v 8 format and mostly spent all my time getting beat up by the best teams when 4s came out because of lack of other teams in the que. I tried pretty hard to get the community more involved too. Definitely was learning and I can keep a positive attitude through constantly losing. Still currently min maxing my gear. I'm not the best player, but I'm above average (imo) and can communicate well on VOIP. I can do dedicated training or just using me when you need an extra is cool too. I can prob bring a few other people when needed. I am down to play with whomever whenever in regards to ranked. Kickball or competitive. Send me a message and /friend. Ps. This isn't guild recruitment BW...

I have a 5 button mouse. Bind 8, 9, 0, -, = to those mouse buttons. ( Plus shift, ctrl, alt, alt+ctrl modifiers ) Mouse wheel in, up, down ( Plus shift, ctr, alt, alt+ctrl ) `, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ( plus modifiers ) q, e, r, t, y ( modifiers ) s, f, g, h ( modifiers ) z, x, c, v, b ( modifiers ) space ( modifiers ) That pretty much has me covered although I could bind more if needed. I line up quickbars on top of each other (12 x 1) so all my mouse buttons are on the right side and can be on top of each other. (Five across: no mod, shift, ctrl, alt, alt+ctrl) The left side is set up to match a regular keyboard because it is easier for your mind to associate the keybinds across multiple toons if they actually share some layout with a real keyboard. (Some classes might not need this or want dif UI ). Can use other quickbar slots for not frequently used buttons. I disagree with the camp that says backpedaling is for scrubs. It gives you an extra direction of movement when needed. I have no problem using double mouse click for movement and mouse turning is super fast, but you are kidding yourself if you think moving backwards is completely for bads just because it is slower... As long as it isn't a habit you SHOULD use it in some situations. I'm pretty sure one of the reasons people say that in the first place is because S is an excellent key to bind for other abilities and movement can be accomplished with the mouse... but since I have no problem with keybinds and backpedaling isn't a habit... only shift, ctrl, alt S are needed. Now people just perpetuate the S is for bads because a lot of good players swear by it. Pretty sure it is a follow the popular kids blindly thing. Flame away.

We really shouldn't have to brainstorm in this thread. BW add incentive for ranked. Needs to be huge rewards so that EVERYBODY wants in. Seriously, bring on the keyboard turning. EA = $ Cow

I've come pretty close to giving up at this point. Even in solo there isn't a single person on the server with 100+ wins. I think top is 89ish and then it drops into the 60 's. Ranked doesn't pop and it is way too hard to come up with a reasonable community driven solution. That being said... I will still participate in ranked if we get something set up. I have lost a lot of interest in the game though.

When I look through the guild recruitment forum I see no other PvP guilds recruiting. It seems like <My Ninjas> is your only choice. Makes it easy for you. GS is here now so join up! We do have a some players that run HM's if PVE needs to be an option.

Hey nice to see more videos! May I suggest that you make one DeathByDesign thread and update it whenever you make new stuff? It is to hard to keep track of your videos without subscribing to your channel. Also, when you post links add a description of what it is. Even better would be a thread dedicated to videos on The Harbinger.

The title of this thread says we are looking for ranked pvpers... but since we all know how often that actually happens... strong regs players are welcome to join too. That is all I have for this bump.

One of the most expensive games ever made... no cross server... ever. I honestly think BW didn't realize this was a multiplayer game. They thought we would all just go through the class quests and talk about it after. Imagine how different things would have been if they had cross server and ranked ready at launch. I am getting closer to unsubbing as more time passes. GS is going to make ques even worse and BW is still focused on casuals. Can't really see myself lasting more than a few more months.
