  1. I found it interesting in case anybody cares (you dont). In Article on yahoo.com by Blizzard, has blizzard admitting that even though they been steadily losing customers over the years they credit SWTOR with taking away a large chunk of there player base faster than expected. They also admit to playing SWTOR themselves, though mainly there playing of SWTOR they said, is for them to do research on how to better improve WoW. True story....
  2. I read some post I cant find the quote for that said as of 1.2 Ilum world based PVP is being "shut down" until further notice... It also said that any suggestions on the subject would be taken seriously. Well, without trying to sound to much of a cryier or a troll heres my suggestions on how to fix Ilum. 1. remove the wall of death that prevents one factions from entering the other factions base... just like it was before, when you were able to camp the other teams main respawn point... you remember the youtube videos? 2. In order to prevent such mass campings of a respawn points... allow that when you die you can select which respawn point you want to rez at. By having the secondary respawn points high enough that they cant be camped it allows players away out of a bad situation. 3. Allow the Capping of objectives (destroying the other factions vehicles/ turrets) to count towards the daily/ weekly goal. 4. make armaments spawn in more locations then just a circle around the center assault. 5. Have roaming PVP boss mobs.Such boss's could be faction based as well as neutral factioned. Slaying a boss naturally has its drop rewards as well as protecting a boss, or if your factions boss still lives while the other factions boss is dead and waiting to respwan. the living faction could recieve a buff 6. Small PVP based quests that could spawn mobs that rush opposing factions locations or offer temporary buffs. 7. have a neutral camp/Town that only offers vendors to the controlling factions side. Anyway heres my wall of text, I mean suggestions for ilum. Yes Im serious, No i'm not trollling, maybe I'm crying, and sorry if this topic is in the wrong forum
  3. Personally I like the Idea of the freeform WarZone structure with no brackets. Simply it makes Matches Happen Faster. Though most prefer Bracketed Play because its more Fair, but matches might take along to que up, which leaves you waiting, sometimes a long time. My idea is to make PVP Brackets. BUT make 2 que options for Warzone qeuing. "Bracket" and "Freeform", Basically if you want your fair play, You que for "Brackets" understanding it might be a wait. Or if you dont care, and want to get into a game faster, you que for "freeform" which could either place you in a freeform game (Current State) or either a Bracket game. As Long as the queing system always throws the "freeform" ques into brackets when necessary as a priority, the ques might compliment each other nicely. then again this could just be a another really stupid idea
  4. this post was not originally intended as a wall of TxT but i got carried away... Let Me Explain what I mean by same faction/ cross alignment PVP. What I am refering to is If I'm a Empire Character with All Darkside Points And I come across another Empire Character who has all light side points.... We should be able to smack each other around a little bit. Now I understand Having Same faction PVP and being able to get killed by your "faction ally" isnt really becoming of the situation but maybe to a slight degree it can be acceptable, one example might be no same faction PVP assaulting of one another if there life is below a certain percentage. or only allowed in safe zones (PVP in SAFE ZONES!) welll yeah, but it will be to a limited degree and would mainly be a social aspect if damage is capped to be only a minimal amount sustained. something like mild hazing (That could be a social skill "HAZING" basically its like discipling your companion but only usuable cross alignment.) Because if I'm swaggering thru the city with my (Dark V) and another sith is Strutting by me with his (Light V) we should be able to hit each other at least once just to let the other one know whats up. Basically I think it might be interesting if some PVP aspect could be alignment based without regard to Faction. Because Star Wars lore is full of instaces of same faction, faction members fighting each other over alignment and not faction.
  5. I have a suggestion I would like to add to the game. The Concept is Flashpoints where your supposed to bring your companions in; As in its an 8 man flashpoint, You have your 4 Players plus each with there own companion for a total of an 8 team party. I think this will add more value to companions and also give more of an incentive to play with different companions. Also I Think the Legacy System would be nice if they let you swap companions between your legacy "family" members but thats a different topic...
  6. Im Talking about Vanilla WoW, Not what is has become 7 years later. Im Talking about when WoW was less than a month old it had all the content im claiming.
  7. First Off I Like this game alot better than WoW but heres what I feel is what will Kill this game. Any one remember DCUniverse Online? The funnest MMO ever for about a week (insert insults here). They even boasted having there subscription base grow the fastest of a MMO ever, Just Like SWTOR claims, (I think) But What killed DCUO was Content, and thats what i feel will kill this game. Let Me Explain In WoW you can take a new (Alliance) character and get that character to lvl 60 without ever leaving your starting Continent. then you can make a 2nd chracter and again you can take that character from 1 to 60 again without ever leaving that 2nd continent. SWTOR you get a character to lvl 50, then ur second character only has his starting planet as new content, then its follow the same order of planets where 85% of the quest are the same. (yes i had much fun playing every characters starting quest but...) As much as a Hate WoW I think part of its survial is its replay value, in theory you can get 2 alliance charcters to max lvl and never see the same zones. turn around and take 2 horde characters to the max level and only see about half the zones you seen as an alliance. no matter what ur level is you have multiple zones to pick an choose from. I Love you SWTOR (not in that way) and i want to see you succeed so bring n the flamers and call me a troll but if just one developer sees this and sees the sense in what im saying, hopefully it will be all good. P.S. i Hate Hutt Ball! really really hate it especially since 90% of all PVP games i join are hutball. Wheres the randomness!
