I love you guys, and I love this game, so I don't mean for this to come across as another whiny "I'M QUITTING" post. However, I feel the way you folks handled the maintenance earlier this morning was disorganized at best.
In the first place, a large number of people didn't even know there would be a maintenance this morning at all. That's because all of the notices across your website and the launcher still said it would be on January 31st. The only place where you guys very clearly said it had been changed to the 28th was on your Twitter. Not everyone checks that.
Then, in the middle of maintenance, whoever is in charge of your forum and news posts kept trying to sneak edits in... but they didn't make sure to be consistent with it, leading to a whole lot of confusion among your player base.
Notably, in this forum post:
The first line says January 28th, while the title and several other mentions in the article still say January 31st. The first paragraph still says "until 6AM" and "no more than four hours", where later in the post it was edited to say "until 10AM" and "no more than eight hours".
The post in your Community News section also lists January 31st in several places, but then says "in the early hours of the morning tomorrow" at the top.
I'm not expecting any sort of response, and that's fine. And again, I don't mean for this to come across inflammatory -- I understand you guys need to do maintenance to keep the game running, and sometimes that requires emergency downtime for pressing issues. That's completely understandable, and we appreciate your hard work!
However, in the future, I personally feel it might be best if you try and get your public relations team a bit more organized, so we don't see more contradictory posts like the above. It lead to a great deal of confusion this morning.
