  1. I think it might depend on the size of the wound. Cutting a limb off at the shoulder might be too large to effectively cauterize, while losing a hand or lower, thinner part of the arm might produce a wound small enough to cauterize quickly. Of course, by that logic Darth Maul should probably have had blood and organs spilling out of him in Episode 1. I'd say these effects are just something that people don't care to over-think during creation.
  2. I just bought that laptop a few days ago. It runs very smoothly (even in fleet and warzones) with all graphics on high (even shadows!).
  3. Have you seen body type 4 with no chest piece? It's actually pretty ripped, despite how unflattering robes like the ones worn by Baras are.
  4. A note about gearing up: Your mission rewards, planetary commendations, and drops from enemies (especially in flashpoints) will be adequate to keep you geared, and you can save the money that would otherwise be spent on gear from the GTN. Also, don't neglect to upgrade your companion's gear; it makes nearly as big a difference as your own gear.
  5. I use a Razer Naga, which is similar to your mouse with the 12 thumb buttons on the side. I personally can't put my main attacks on those side buttons because I would just be fumbling around on the mouse and probably clicking the wrong buttons a bunch. This is my set-up: Main Action Bar: 1,2,3,4,5,Q,E,R,F,C,X,Z keys Action Bar 2: Shift + all keys for action bar 1 Action Bar 3: T,G,V, as well as shift and control + T,G,V (only use 9 slots on this bar) Action Bar 4: The bottom 9 buttons on the side of my mouse (again, only use 9 slots on this bar). Action Bar 5: One-in-a-while Clickables, such as my class buff, stances, speeder, etc. The top left two buttons on my mouse (G9 and G10 on the Logitech G600) are my targeting buttons. Next Enemy: G9 Previous Enemy: Control + G9 Nearest Enemy: Shift + G9 Friendly targeting: Same, except using G10. The bottom three buttons on the side of my mouse are as follows for all my characters: Crowd Control Breaker: G18 Instant Resource Generation (i.e. Enrage for Juggernaut)/ Other utility skill for other classes: G19 Out of Combat Regeneration: G20 The six buttons in the middle on the side of my mouse are my defensive cooldowns, stealth, guard, etc. as applicable. For my T,G,V action bar: T-Taunt (Stim Boost on my agent) Shift+ T- AoE Taunt Control + T- Intimidating Roar (aoe CC) G - Endure Pain Shift + G - Warzone Medpack V/Shift+V/Control+V: Defensive Cooldowns / Utility Skills For my attacks on my main action bar and action bar 2, I try to put things where they make sense and where I won't be fumbling around trying to press the buttons while moving. I also try to keep similar abilities on the same keys with all my characters so I can retain some muscle memory when I change characters (for example, my interrupt ability is always on my 4 key). For healing classes, I try to arrange my keys so that my damage skills in heal spec stay on mostly the same keys as my damage skills in DPS spec. This was mainly written based on my 50 tanking Juggernaut and 36 Operative (who I swap between heals and concealment), by the way. Sorry if I explained anything in a confusing manner. It's a lot easier to just do it than to talk about it
  6. Seems too stupid to be serious, but hey, there are a lot of stupid people. I'll play along, though. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/sniper Nothing about range in that definition. I could be 15 yards away and "snipe" someone.
  7. Don't worry about sounding like a douche about the CC thing...I've found that a lot of people (at least in the lower level flashpoints) don't bother with CC, or the DPS just break the CC that people do use. Marauders and Snipers can CC droids, Assassins can CC humanoids, and Operatives, Sorcerers, and Mercenaries can CC both. For the most part, you shouldn't have to worry about tanking weaks or strongs since they should get burned down quickly by the DPS. Of course, very often the DPS just attack the elites, leaving the weaks and strongs to attack the healer. If this happens, explain to them to kill the weak enemies first, and hopefully they'll listen. If the DPS kill in the right order, that should give you enough time to attack the elites enough that you can hold aggro on them the rest of the fight, unless the DPS attack separate elites, in which case one of them will probably aggro the enemy that you didn't do enough damage to. In cases where you have more than two elites/champions which can't be CC'd, you should be fine holding aggro on all but the one being focus-fired by the DPS (assuming they are focus firing like they should be). And if needed, you can use a taunt to grab aggro from that one. By the time the first enemy is dead, you should have enough of a head start on the next enemy to hold aggro. and so on until they are all dead. Shorter version: -DPS should kill weakest first, and then whatever you're attacking if there are multiple elites. You should always be the first to damage whatever needs to be tanked. -CC should be used when possible and DPS shouldn't break CC -With your AoE attacks, taunts, and target switching if needed, you should be able to hold aggro as long as the DPS are doing their part right. And Juggernauts do have the hardest time of all the tanks holding multiple targets.
  8. Just a word of advice - the items you get as mission rewards or that you loot from enemies will generally keep you and your companion adequately geared as you level. While you could buy improvements, it might not really be worth the credits; you'll eventually out-level the gear anyway.
  9. Have you ever seen body type 4 with clothes removed? It's actually pretty ripped for a fatty.
  10. Also keep in mind that you'll be after similar gear if you're both Bounty Hunters; rolling a different class could save one of you from having to sleep on the couch after a fight over that sweet helmet that just dropped.
  11. If you're doing a flashpoint, is it appropriate to roll need for an item that you want for your companion when there are other players in the group that would benefit from the item? My first thought is that it wouldn't be, but we rely pretty heavilly on our companions, so it seems like a bit of a gray area.
  12. Chewie was a tank, Solo was DPS, so of course Solo was getting more of the kills.
