hey guys this is Zyxx i play on the belgoths beacon server. i have been playing for awhile now (im a sentinal in almost full war hero), and i would just like to give everyone some very secret information on how to fight a sentinal.
this on goes out to all the people who think sentinals (a pure dps class who only can dps in all of its trees) are OP
sentinals are right where they should be, top in dmg when they have face time on you. and they should be dangerous. they have almost 0 AoE abilities, so thier high dmg comes from single target dmg.
now im going to list how to counter some of the sentinals abilities
1. first, just have good situational awareness, if you know where i am, you can be ready for me
2. guarded by the force --> CC me, slow me, put a DoT on me and run. its only like 5 seconds, thats about 4 global CDs.
3. saber ward --> slow me
4. rebuke --> slow me
5. if i leap up to you in hut ball, knock me down, actually think as a player, make sure the direction i go is off the little ramp
6. pop your defencive CDs about 3 seconds in, (assuming the sentinal is watchman) you will minimize the dmg i can do, my dmg as watchman (the one with burns) comes in bursts and surges, all of our good attacks have like a 12 second CD
7. some class has to have the highest dmg, and sentinals should have that place imo, we are a pure dmg class, us and snipers/ gunslingers. learn to counter us (slow and kite) and go in a WZ and practice instead of complaining in the forums
8. i only have one CC/slow breaker, if you slow me, then my dmg is 0!!! because i cant get to you!! its amazing how things work like that...imagine an ability that makes you take 95% dmg reduction from sentinals... well it exists, and its called slowing us once, (we might pop our cc breaker) then slow us again, and kite. thats allllllll you need to do.
9. the way expertise works in this game is it is very valuble.. right now im getting ~24% dmg increase with 1260 expertise, if you come in recruit gear you will die hard and fast, its just math, so come with gear if you plan on playing against other geared players. when you first turn 50 you have to pay your dues...thats called getting destroyed a few times till you get gear.
remember, if the sentinal is on top of you, you are going to take dmg, situational awareness is your most powerful weapon in pvp. so please think. oh, and we are very squishy in between our CDs, so please just learn about a class and how to counter it.

yes i keybind and mouse turn and do all the basics. and if bioware is reading this, since people are just trashing the game, im going to go ahead and say great job with pvp and pve, i have some trouble downing a few classes who have talented players behind the keyboard if i dont have certain CDs up and they out play me, but thats how it should be, and great job with EC and KP and EV, i love running those raids, lots of fun fights in there
