  1. Looked up the set and it appears to be the equivalent of the Primeval Paragon set I'm working on. If so, I regret to inform you that as near as I can tell, the boots are a random drop. I'd love to be proven wrong, but until I am I'll be farming the GTN....
  2. This made me chuckle....and then cry a little. Please, no more Huttball, I hate it so....
  3. The entire rest of your post except for the above quoted line was very well thought out and I agreed with much of it. This one line, however, gave me flashbacks to EverQuest tradeskills. The bad kind of flashback. The kind where I remember literally farming for a week to get the components for ONE combine. Where upon finally getting the required components, I stop for half an hour and check three different sites to make sure that I have the right stuff, that I'm not missing anything, and that I'm using the right recipe. Where I then delay for another hour because I'm nervous about finally hitting the combine button. Where upon finally working up the nerve to hit the combine button, I position my pointer over it, then turn away from the screen and clench my eyes shut, and finally hit the button. And then turn back to the screen, find out the combine has failed, and all my components are gone, and I've got nothing for all my effort and the next thing I know I'm waking up smeared in blood. That last phrase, I was kidding about. The rest I was not. Please trust me when I tell you that skill failures are a bad idea.
  4. EDIT: Spoiler and primary complaint removed. I truly apologize on the spoiler thing, and was not aware surname could be turned off. I guess that fixes it. My other complaint remains, however. P.S. Also, while you're at it, kindly fire whoever made the galactic trade network interface, and start working on one that doesn't make me dread having to deal with it every time I have a stack of something to sell. It is incredibly clunky, and makes buying AND selling an ordeal.
  5. Simplicity = respeccing every time I want to dps or pvp and spending upwards of 20 mins sitting in the fleet spamming for members every time I want to run a flashpoint, am I doing it right?
  6. Ok, so before I get into the main point, I'd like to point out that you guys need a suggestion forum. With that out of the way, the Galactic Trade Network Interface is abyssmally bad. Like really terrible. I am mystified as to how something this clunky got into what is otherwise a fairly polished game. Here's how a typical 1st-time experience goes: Can't simply search by item name? Why the heck not? 2 required dropdowns to search? Well that's irritating. Ok now that I've done that and hit search, NOW I can filter by name, seems like there's too many steps here. So then I try to shift-click an item name into the filter text box, and it goes to general chat, even tho the cursor was in the box. Guess I have to type it in manually... Well, finally managed to find the item I was searching for and its prices, time to go make an auction...and I find that I have to a) split the items individually (a process which is itself so unintuitive that I had to look it up on this forum, click and drag to split, ***?) and b) make each auction individually. I realize that people are probably tired of hearing this game compared to WoW, but for god's sake, if this is the best you could come up with, imitation of the WoW AH would have been the far superior option. Fix this PLEASE. P. S. Also although I have just described a first time experience, dealing with this interface does NOT get easier with practice, as all the annoyances I just listed are still there.
