i definitely enjoyed reading your post, but thats mostly due to the epic music in the background.
i'll be honest... i dont really care for 8v8 RWZ as they are now. This game is not very well balanced around 8v8, it was better pre 2.0 when dps could actually kill the huttball carrier, and when novare coast got capped because you killed the other team, and when you didnt respec to 4 heals 4 tanks in civil war just because you capped 0.1 seconds faster.

Hopefully not... We used to need gear grind for reason to play... But now they can just use more rwz activity for incentives.
They should make rated gear... 1500, 2200, 3000 and make them look progressively better and better. And unique!!!!!

the community needs to decide what games to count, not you. Once you put yourself over everyone else in deciding who goes where on this list, you are proving the point that so many people in this thread are trying to make. That this is ONLY 1 persons opinion rather than a true leaderboard. This maybe started as you wanting to throw out a list but now that BW is allowing the thread to exist, it has become the Pot5 Ranked Leaderboard. if you cant let go of the "well, brobi made it so brobi gets the last say" mentality, well, this is pointless and I have been defending the existence of this list and your impartial ability to control it for no reason.
gotcha... good point from that perspective. but alternatively rated team doesn't always mean guild.
EX: Even though Legend had an A team vs a B team, they still at one point held that #1 spot since their team was doing the best at the time... the losses of their B team didn't give their A team a bad name, people knew what was what.
That all being said... it seems hostile is gonna have to make an alt guild, something thats kinda annoying but whatever... we'll do it if it pleases the masses in terms of win tracking... we actually really enjoy alt rateds... its like a rated vacation where losses aren't as serious. ( thats why i stream alt rateds with open comms and stuff)

Here's my two cents on the matter, ultimately it's up to the creator of the doc though.
Alts do count legitimately. We bring alas to our team on an extremely frequent basis and switch up comps whenever necessary to q. We are probably the only serious guild to not hesitate in running a PT dps. We have never made the excuse of alt team in any loss.
DCs also should count. At the end of the day it happens to everyone, so superior guilds will emerge superior as time goes on. We had a DC loss against PKers tonight but had no qualms in counting it.
i think the misunderstanding was between the meaning of the match toward the list vs the meaning of the match toward the doc.
you may as welll count everything for the doc since its just for tracking.

also, like i said... 1-0 vs slackers tonight, 2-0 vs legend, winless vs ID in the games already logged. but i have no screenshots so i guess unless one of the other teams confirms or posts they wont be counted?

Here is my opinion on not count games on this list
Unless every game is counted toward the google doc (including DCed games, alt games, trying out 4 new players for ranked, whatever) you completely delegitimize this list. The doc needs to remained as simple and unbiased as possible with no opinions on what should/shouldnt be counted toward it. If a team is tagged, it counts.
If you stop counting DCs, what is going to stop teams from having someone purposefully pull the cord partway through a match in order to cover up a lose. What will stop guilds from running alts/subs/tryouts and just say "oh, that was our B/alt/sub/tryout/whatever team so it shouldnt count toward our guilds loses."
The google doc should remain simple. However, we need to remember that the Community gets a say in who is better than who and that is where personal experiences like fighting against alt teams come into the discussion.
alright... do whatever you wanna do with the doc... but unfortunately i dont screenshot every game.... there comes the flaw... also .... i will not count alt games when considering the overall rankings because the rankings should actually indicate which teams are better/stronger.

I know where you are coming from, but where do we draw the line? 5 alts and 3 mains lose a match is that a loss or a win? 4 alts and 4 main? I mean where is the line drawn is what I'm saying. Why do you queue for ranked on alts? Are you not playing to win?
playing to gear and for fun... the line doesn't really need to be drawn, the good players just know.
ex: if hostile takeover beats casual, but leige isn't tanking, and noshadow isn't sniping, and mugen isn't smashing and a bunch of other people we don't know... etc we would know, thats not really casual we beat... and if we beat that team 10 times, we don't claim to be better than casual.

Im sure this is in reference to you asking not to count wins vs your alts. I say to this you queued for rank with those alts knowing what you were getting into. Your alts have your guild tag. They represent your guild. So I know Infinite Darkness is in agreement with this, that the guild tag got the loss so we would count it. Make an alt guild I know Casual has one and I know for sure we in Lethal Dose 50 have one.
You miss the point im making... its not about tracking really.. If WAR beats Hostile Takeover while we're on our alts 15 times in a row, then Hostile Takeover gets on their mains and beats WAR 3 times in a row, Hostile Takeover is the better team.
We played 9 games the other day on our alts ( http://www.twitch.tv/brobi1/b/430116725 ) , and beat watchmen, and S key twice... i didn't mention it, because who cares?? S Key had alts on their team too, so the game doesn't really matter... Watchmen, not so much, but whatever.
We're talking about how strong teams are, not how well they do when they're playing alt rateds.
