  1. Brilliant, I'll start working on my Mara then, I was planning on leveling the sorc as a healer to have in my backpocket too. But yeah, I have no interrest in lowerend difficulty content. I don't have an extreme amount of time on my hands between my spare time and work so I need to use my time efficiently and as nim/master is the top-end of the bucket, that's where my sights are. I'll get in touch with you and drop an application if that's needed later on, thanks for the information though.
  2. Well, I've got a Sorc healer and Carnage Mara that are sitting at 65. Just resubbed so haven't played in a good while sadly. Been to busy playing and raiding mythic content on wow. Would either of those be interresting to you if I were to level them up and if so which one? From my experience on raiding in swtor prior to kotet. Raiding here is easy compared to wow, though that's solely my opinion, I simply found that this game is mechanically easier raidwise than wow itself at least at it's peak level. But with that said, the only reason I play most mmo's is to raid and by that I don't mean do the easiest and mid difficulties as they offer little to no challenge at all.
  3. well, I should have two tokens and I've waited two days for em to be restored, but I guess I'll just have to wait longer then thanks for the update
  4. well I tried calling the numbers listed above and on the 'contact us' page from sweden, but all I get is that the numbers not working, tried with and without the countrycode's aswell.. Great service.. And I've got the same issue, no free lvl 60 and I bought a lvl 60 token.. thankgod I cancelled my subscription this cancercompany ain't getting anymore money from me.
  5. Thanks for all the great suggestions and information guys. Here's a little stat update. Got myself a fair bit of 192 raid gear, 2set bonus for warleaders and the 198 bracers. All these stats are completely unbuffed. def/sr/abs= 1537/1057/582 -Thinking about dropping 100+-def and get more shieldrating/absorb. -But I'm very content with tanking the new content and haven't had any issues soaking up damage, the healers are even asking if I actually take any dmg as there are massive gaps between times when I actually drop any moderate amount in health. Think the lowest I've gone so far in Ravagers was to about 85%. But I think some more shield rating would be good, we'll see though. gotta admit I do hate these freaking elusive mods in the raid gear though.
  6. Microsoft would rather have all our products branded by apple before letting EA control us in any way shape or form.
  7. I know the idea was kind of out there mate, but that's the point. They need to do something drastic about this, I don't even care if they roll is back to the hutt cartel patch, at least back then. The game was at least playable. They simply need to stop looking for loopholes to better performance and simply take the servers down for a proper do-over, I'm pretty sure that the tech they're using is fairly up to date, but I don't think the software they're using is. And hence it can't handle the new content that's been released. I wonder if they did any stresstesting before they released it, or if they just ignorante forgot about it and released it to earn more money because EA is breathing down their neck constantly. Bioware as a company is amazing, EA on the otherhand will sit on their fat ***, wipe their snot with 500dollar bills and watch tv rather than play to the public and aim for player satisfaction. That's what's pissing me off. It's gone so far that I actually emailed my company's CEO and asked him to see if we could contact bioware and buy out EA and become bioware's partner and distributor instead, at least then we'd have some actual people in the background. And hey, considering they could afford to drop a few billions to buy Mojang for minecraft, I'm sure they'd be able to afford this too.
  8. I was one of the people who came back for the expansion and to be honest, the expansion is good and the story that goes along with it ain't half bad either. However, when it comes to the performance of this game. I honestly do not think that we can find a manmade word that could possibly describe how freaking horrendous it actually is. I was so excited for the game, levelled up to 60 which took longer than it should have with all the ability delays, bugs with the content and I made myself raid ready. And then you get into either 8man or 16man ops and you can barely freaking move because of the delay, lagspikes, freezes and what else is going on. For a company that has the opportunity to have a subscription, that kind of performance should be categorized as unacceptable. I paid for my own subscription and two of my mates as they wanted to play it too, and they love the game to bits but due to the insanely ****** performance while we were levelling we instead decided to get ourself a copy of WoD, and then see if we can wait out the lag. Like some here have stated and I agree, it probably has a lot to do with man power not being sufficient to actually troubleshoot this issue and get it sorted, but if you don't have the man power to do that, then stop *********** making new cartel packs and collectibles as they aren't worth jack in a box if you can't display them or use them without having to wait 3minutes before an activatable collection item get's activated or shown. The amount of missplaced priorities that get's shown in this game is pathetic and sorry if I'm being harsh, but me and a couple of mates made a bet that as soon as EA or the Economic ******s as it stands for get's involved with a game, it's bound for disaster. They don't give a rats bum about player satisfaction, only money. And they've shown that with an endless stream of games in the last few years. I may not speak for more than myself here but I honestly think that if you expect to keep subscribers or even earn more, then the ones paying should also feel like they're paying for something. Even if that would mean you'd have to make a separate instance for people who pay for the game so they can enjoy the game properly, I wouldn't feel sorry for the ones who doesn't. Sorry, but that's the truth. I honestly think that Subscribers and Free to play players should have their own instances. At least that would give the ones who aren't subbing another reason to do so, if they can afford it. And then the subscribers would then be paying to keep that single sub only instance maintained properly. But that's a far fetched thing to say so I'll just stop my rant as it won't lead anywhere and there probably won't be a lot that agree with me but hey, freedom of speech and all that. We all knew what was going to happen when EA got involved anyhow. /End rant *Ninja edit In regards to Windows XP, as a microsoft employee I can state that it was officially cut of July 16. 2014. But the support ended on april 8th 2014, so still having support for the os is kind of odd, considering there will be no new server alterations for the background systems running the windows xp support and it's intermediary components. And yes, this could cause massive performance issue on widescaled server platforms, like these servers. Figured I'd drop this in here.
  9. Thank you so much everyone for both your insight and information. I've been wondering a bit though, I already know that 'Defensive' stats go ahead of Endurance and that Endu comes with gear later on. I'm currently using nothing but Redoubt Augments that gives DEF and Power.(186) And even while I'm using nothing but Immunity a mix of 178+186 I can still just about tip 1400 def rating with them. Should I just stick with the Immunity ones, or should I drop some immunity for less def and get steadfast for more hp? As the last person above me mentioned and I agree, shield absorb isn't extremely valuable compared to shield chance and def. I've checked the coms gear and I'm not using any of it, I bought/got all my armorings, mods, enhancements and augments crafted. I took one look at the comms gear and I cried rivers from the ****** stats on them. I'm just wondering what I should focus on since the 192 gear doesn't seem to have that much better stats, even the ops gear has very little def on it. And I can't for the love of me figure out how to get the def cap with that gear unless I take multiple of one item just to remove the mods and enhancement to put in my own gear. But that hardly seems fair towards other in the raid that might need set pieces too. See my issue? Just do a small calculation on the jugg/guardian ops gear 192's and see for yourself. A lot of absorb, endurance and shield rating, not a lot of items with def. Now if we could only have some genius calculate what mods, enhancements and augments you would have in a perfect world if you were getting 186, 192 and 198 of said modifications that would be great. Like you need 4 of these mods, and 5 of these, 6 of this augs and so on and so fourth. And that it would add up to be the most "optimal" stat allocation if you had said modifications. It's a lot of work and I would do it, if I weren't so awful at math. I tried to do it myself but ended up getting confused by all the numbers. Thanks again though lads, I appreciate it a lot.
  10. Hi everyone. I'm an avid reader of mr. KeyboardNinja myself and I've done some calculating, but to be perfectly honest. I'm **** at mathematics and I need your help lads and lasses. I'm a fairly new level.60 Guardian. And since I hit 60 I had a set goal to first reach the 'recommended' stats as a tank which are Defense(1360),Shield(737) and Absorb(603). My stats are the following: Defence with Stim 1360, Shield 953 and Absorb 643 and 4071Endurance Gear: Relics: Fortunate Redoubt(186 with Adv redoubt augment 36) Reactive Warding (186 with Adv redoubt augment 36) +Both give you 125Endurance, 35Power and 95Def with the augments Implant: 2x Yavin Bulwark's MK-1 Implant with Adv redoubt augment 36 Ear: Yavin Bulwark's MK-1 Module with Adv redoubt augment 36 Armorings: 8x Advanced Guardian Armoring 36(186) Mods: 9x Advanced Resilient Mod 36B(186) Enhancements: 2x Advanced Steadfast Enhancement 36(186) 5x Immunity Enhancement 36(178) Augments: 8x Redoubt augment 36(178) Hilt: Advanced Guardiant Hilt 36(186)+41Endurance Crystal Like stated before, I'm awful at mathematics, but all in all. I can't see how I can upgrade my gear without just surpassing those recommended numbers and just overstack defensive stats. I'd like to lower my shield rating to the recommended stats and gain more health as I seem to be lacking a lot of health compared to other tanks, seem's like I'm missing 3k health+. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need any other numbers then feel free to tell me and I'll get them for you. Thank you for reading and taking the time to help out a fellow tank.
  11. Oh yes, you did. I must've been blind I think. Thank you so much mate, really do appreciate the effort.
  12. Thank you so much for the information, gonna take a new look at the utilities today since I'm rather rusty at tanking still. 5-6months break does that to me I guess, or maybe I'm getting old? Again, thank you so much for the indepth view on the utility tree, I'll definately try them out. What about Guardian stats?
  13. I had a Sage Healer called Ambulance, a Sentinet called obiwankenblowme. Not particularly original I know but still. Amused I got those names. Some of these are rather creative and clever, but there's a fair share of facepalm moments here too. There was also this Miraluka Sentinel called Lee'Sin but forgot his title and legacy, but it gave me a chuckle.
  14. Hello fellow Guardians. So I just got back after a 5 or so month break from the game due to work related stuff. I was using the good'ol 36/8/2 before the patch/digital expansion , but now with the new Discipline trees here I have no idea which utilities to go for. And what are the main stats to go for now? As in: Str, Endurance, Shield Absorption, Power and so on. I was thinking about putting my points in the following trees. Skillful: Second Wind Trailblazer Debilitation Masterful: Guardianship Preparation, Insirping Force or Pulse Heroic: Daunting Presence, Through Peace or True Harmony Any thoughts? Or are all of them just personal preference? Any input is greatly appreciated.
  15. So many hillarious Choices and some obvious ones. Looking forward to seeing more from the community. Really do like the names so far however, some genuine ones in here.^_^ Let me ask another questions then. What's the best name you've seen so far? In swtor of course, not a diffrent game.
  16. A massive thanks to both of you for your input, it's greatly appreciated as I consider myself completely new to the sniper class and way of playing. (read: I haven't played a ranged dps in swtor till now.) So you're both saying that I should go MM while levelling? What about flashpoints and such? Wouldn't Lethality be better for that? Or should I switch to playing lethality once I hit Level 40+? My reasoning for going lethality early on is that I'm a quick learner, but that also means I like taking time to practice, get to know and master each of my abilities and classes weaknesses and strengths. But I'll take you up on what you've said and roll back to Marksman so I can Level as that. Furthermore mister/madame paowee, I've read most of the guides and posts you've made and it's actually based on those that I decided on rolling a sniper in the first place. So any advice you can give is fantastic as it would help me greatly. One quick question that I have. With the implementation of the lovely Level 10crystals With Level 50 stats. (The +41 Power, endurance expertise etc.) Which gem should I use on my Vibroknife and rifle for that little umph? Power, critt or something else? I'd like to not having to replace them till 55, or perhaps I won't even have to replace them then!
  17. I got my Cathar Honor Sword and Warstaff, and my pretty little Kira is looking rather dashing now. It's a good change for when you want a diffrent sound than the one the lightsaber gives. I know right. BLASPHEMY, who doesn't love listening to the endless swoing they ring out whenever it hits something right? I said good change, but I still love the sound. Hit Level 47 now, and finally I''m seing mods that give more than just str and endurance. I was in the Department looking for more defence to become even more robust even if I know that it mean's little to nothing considering we're not 50 yet. But it's still good to get it going.
  18. I would most likely ask her to marry me, get punched in the balls and then she'd apologize and say yes. (She's a bit high on herself at times.) Beyond that I'd probably attack her with questions, and 'force' the answers out of her. (She's a Jedi Guardian, see what I did there?) Other than that I don't know what I would do. Probably get a beating for not cleaning my apartment enough, or often enough. (Hey, I'm a 27year old nerd, don't judge me.)
  19. Read this thread and then I immediately start regretting dropping 2500$ into it. What if it doesn't even make it to the shelfs..? Wish I wasn't so god damn easy to convince about stuff.. >.< I do have my own fleet now though, so I've got that going for me, which is nice.
  20. So I've been trying to dig around for some amusing names that people have come up with! I'm not that original myself, and are planing on renaming my Legacy once I can bother paying the cartel points for it. But here are a few of them. When I first started playing this game on release I saved up the following names. Name - Class Shadow - Jedi Shadow Obiwankenblowme - Jedi Guardian Ambulance - Jedi Sage(healer) Mulder - Imperial Agent Obvious - Smuggler. (quite amusing when you have the Captain title.) Kawkblocker - Juggernaut Erza - Jedi Sentinel However that was a few years ago so when I got back I had to rename most my chars as I didn't have an active Subscription running so I lost all my names except the Legacy which was Scarlet.(Yes I know, very unoriginal and doesn't work with anyone but my former sentinel.) Now I'm running around with my New Guardian which I created on The Red Eclipse called Benisakura Scarlet, which are also, correct. From Fairy Tail.( I feel so original.) Working on coming up with a -New Legacy- name. Still very interrested in seing what other People have named their toons.
  21. Hi there everyone. (Apologies for my English, it's not my native language.) So I just returned to playing the game from pretty much a 2year long "break". Left after launch due to the "immense" amount of end-game "content" that was present at the time. So me and a few friends figured we'd give it another shot and to great relief there's actual content now. We were shocked and was pondering back and fourth on what we want to play. So we figured we'd start out on Republic and we just hit 47 yesterday. I'm playing a guardian tank, we have a Vanguard DPS and Commando Healer and everything's been plain sailing till now, and we feel that it's been rather easy. Given we have zero characters at Level 55 and can't speak much for OPS, Hardmode/Nightmare and Flashpoints past Level 50, so our base of stating that everything's been easy so far is fairly limited past this point! Now that's enough jibberish. We love our Republic characters, and as a jedi I enjoy the 'light'side of course. But within me, there's a dark evil brewing, one of deceit and hate. So I figured what the hell, I'll make an empire character aswell. I've levelled up a Mercenary to 13, Sorcerer to 11, and are now planing a Sniper. The sniper seem's rather interresting, and the Agent story quest is very amusing as gaining both dark and lightpoints would make sense considering you're a "spy". But my question is the following. What build should I run with? Marksman, Lethality or Engineering til Level 55? Sidenote: I've played mmo's for a long time and have no problems learning game mechanics on the fly, I'm neither a clicker and have everything bound to make the game flow as smoothly as possible. Beyond this there's the last question, I've been a fan of Biochem, BA and Diplomacy for my toons. Are there any other profession that would benefit me even more? Keep in mind that credits are a none-issue for me as I spend stupid amounts of Money on the cartel market. Re-usables+My own implants<3 Thanks in advance to anyone who can answer the above questions and those who took the time to read my post. If you're answering regarding the builds, please ellaborate as to why I should pick one over the other. (I'm Reading up on the builds from dulfy-net so I'm keeping myself fairly updated.) My reasoning for what I've been planing on. Profession: Biochem -Self explanatory as you get re-usable stims, medpacks, adrenals and can make your own implants. Build: Lethality -Looks like an interresting spec, but I'm also interrested in Marksman. Not because it's easy to play, but because I think I'd enjoy a build where I play as a ranged dps, not one that's standing 5 feet from the target. Which is the case with Lethality isn't it? At least from the movies and clips I've seen of lethality you have to be standing pretty much ontop of the boss or within 5-10 feet of him to maximize your dmg output. (Please correct me if I'm wrong.) And due to the above information I've been thinking about playing Marksman aswell, but I don't know how well it does compared to Engineering and Lethality.(I know Engineering is the highest possible dps specc atm, but it requires that you have some experience playing the sniper before you'll be able to use it effectively.) Like I've stated above any input is welcome. Thanks y'all -Benisakura@The Red Eclipse
  22. They keep re-releasing the old packs? So the Contraband packs might come back?
  23. god damnit, I want one of those swords, and it's not like I'm poor. I'm rocking 14 odd mills atm, not sure wether that's a lot or not, but spending half of that on the sword seem's a bit extreme.
  24. Thank you so much mate. At least then I have something to "line myself" up with in terms of mods and such. Get as much def as possible, sounds good to me mate. And yeah, I get tired of the 'swoing' sound from the saber from time to time, but getting the cathar vibrosword is so expensive. :<
  25. Hi there everyone. To start things off, I'll have to apologize if there are any grammatical errors in this post. English is not my native language, but I'll try to keep it somewhat readable. Let's kick it off then shall we? I'm a returning player and a subscriber. I'm focused towards PvE tanking on my Jedi Guardian, and I have a few questions. I've been reading up on the class through dulfy's guides and such, however there wasn't much mentioning regarding a few things I'm wondering on. I'm Level 32 currently, and I'm wondering on a few things regarding where to focus my Planet Commendations/Money. Does it matter what kind of weapon I use? Lightsaber or Vibrosword? -If I get tired of sabers, can I just start using a Sword instead? Or does that gimp me in any way shape or form? As a tank, what are the Enhancement, Mods and Armoring I should use? -Up till Level 30 I didn't have a lot of options in terms of 'tanking' "enchants" other than the ones with more Endurance than Strength. From here on out I get a lot more options, including Shield Absorb, Endurance+Defence and so on, and since I've just returned, I'd like to ask the more experienced guardian tanks out there. Also, when it comes to Relics, Implants and Earpiece, which options do I have in terms of tanking before I hit Level 50-55? .What should I try to get to be more usefull for the group I'm running with, which is a Commando healer and a Vanguard dps? And when it comes to the vast selection of armor sets. I've been spending tons, and I literally mean tons of cartel points on packs just to get some Nice looking armor sets and such. Does it really matter if I use Adaptive armor over say something that's allready categorized as Heavy Armor? -Keep in mind that I know that I know that 'Adaptive Armor' means it will use synch to the "heaviest"-type of armor that I can use, so Armor stat wise I know it doesn't change at all. But are there any other negative effects? (For instance; I've been questioned as a tank due to running around in a dress in Flashpoints, apparently some people find that a bit difficult to understand, and that leaves me open to getting a few insults here and there, but that doesn't bother me the slightest.) And also, regarding Dulfy's guides, do they get updates after every change to the class? I do read the patch notes and such myself so I don't fall behind, but I like to be sure I'm not doing something wrong. All I can do is hope that AoE tanking as a guardian becomes easier the higher up I get, because we're really lacking in that department it feel's like, at least compared to Vanguards, who seem' to be able to hold aoe threat a lot easier. But reading up on the vanguard class aswell as I picked my Guardian I knew that would be the case anyhow. I Guess that's it for now. Thanks to everyone who contributes to the thread. Kind regards, Benisakura on The Red Eclipse server.
