  1. Is there any way to add polls on this forums? Can't find any option. Guess I am blind...
  2. Please! :< It was so cool to be able to watch them and get introduced into game's lore.
  3. Wait... what? Damn, I guess I have to reroll to Biochem...
  4. Had party consisted of people with level 31, 31, 32 and 33. Finally some fight where you did not have to just stand there and press buttons - like the previous one with the Foundry guardian... -,- Still, it is rather easy. All you have to do is keep adds away from the group if you are tank and heal people that are being targeted by his snipe ability if you are healer, that is all there is. Sad thing is that while HK-47 is a bit harder, all other bosses are just a tank'n'spank joke. Even Revan was so damn easy. He just got huge health pool but does no dmg at all. This makes fight with him a bit boring. If you ask me, BioWare should tune up DMG dealt by bosses on all flashpoints imo.
  5. Sith Empire is ruled like any dictatorship state. There is a lot of prejudice involved - Sith pure blood and humans are considered as superior race, the elite of society, the high class citizens while other races are considered inferior and become slaves throughout many generations. Slave's offspring are born as slaves. You also have the Imperial intelligence that everyone is afraid of. Everyone thinks that he/she is being constantly watched, and if he/she does anything against the Empire they will be punished - most probably executed. Actually, most of Sith Empire society is made of simple people that would probably prefer to live in more democratic state - that is Galactic Republic. They are just ruled by fear and have to pretend they love their Empire and Emperor. Sith (not race, but members of sith order) make only like 5% of all people living in SE. I just guessed that number, consider it a rough estimate. Another 10-15% is probably the army. That leaves us with 80% of innocent people that just want to live their lifes peacefully
  6. Oh my god, not this topic again... I agree that Vader was stronger than pre-mustafar Anakin, but you are missing the point. If Anakin would not end up so heavily wounded on Mustafar he would become even more powerful and would probably strike down Palpatine very early after RotS. If you think that after burning in lava you become more powerful... lets just say it does not work that way . I wonder why other sith lords did not took baths in molten lava in order to work out a bit. And upon what "canon" if I may ask you base your theory that Sidious was the most powerful Sith ever? He definitely achieved a lot with his political capabilities and manipulation skills. But it's hard to be sure that he was more powerful than all other ancient sith lords who ever lived, or his former master Darth Plagueis. Plagueis discovered the secret of immortality - Palpatine did not. Hell, Plagueis could even bend Midi-chlorians to his own will in order to create life out of nothing - and he created the most powerful force user to ever exist. Palpatine knew that he could lose face to face duel with Plagueis so he used his cunning to kill him in his sleep. Also, I find it hard to believe that Palpatine could be even a match for Lord Vitiate. We know very little about the Sith Emperor (the TOR one) and yet it seemes that he is capable of wiping out entire life in the galaxy. Read Revan novel if you want to find out more about him, or complete the JK storyline. I don't think Palpatine comes even close to that. I am guessing you are claiming Sidious to be most powerful sith ever because of New Essential Chronology. Well, if you knew the full context of this book and it's claim about Sidious being the most powerful sith you would knew that it is refering to his accomplishments and not the actual power. It all comes down to your very own definition of power. Power can vary a lot you know... Now back to Vader and Revan discussion, in the end it's impossible to be sure who would win. Canon will probably never directly give us an answer to this question. It all comes down to personal, subjective opinion. The only thing that we can be sure of is that Anakin definitely had the most potential out of all SW characters who were both sith and jedi alike because after all he was the chosen one. But you have to understasnd that he was very young in RotS. On the other hand when he gained expierience and knowledge later on as Darth Vader, he was weaker and far less powerful then he would have been if he did not lose on mustafar. He was still very powerful, but it was nothing compared to what he could have been. In the end, my bet is for Revan - he was also very powerful and as Kreia put it: "looking at him was like stearing into the heart of the force". Revan had A LOT more experience and knowledge than Vader. And call me whatever you want, but after reading many SW books (related to both Vader and Revan) I think that experienced Vader post-mustafar would lose to Revan. As for young Revan vs young Anakin - Anakin would probably emerge victorious from direct face to face combat. You also have to look at this from another angle - let's say that Vader could defeat Revan in duel. But what if they took command of two armies and fought against each other. Would the outcome be the same? Revan was expectional strategist and completely turned the tide of Mandalorian Wars. Mandalore was no match for him when it came to leadership. You have to understand that this discussion is pointless and it's impossible to answer such questions - it all depends on the circumstances of the situation. In the end it all comes down to personal preferences and what fans themselves imagine. Comparing Vader and Revan is fanfiction in itself. Also on a side note, don't know if you know this but Darth Bane considered Revan the greatest Sith Lord of all time despite his redemption (read the Darth Bane trilogy for more information). Bane was the one who introduced the rule of two.
  7. As the title says - How much hours you spent on SW:TOR during the first week? As for me, about 80 hours so far. BioWare, you are ruining peoples lives by releasing such an awesome game!
  8. I lol'd at all people whining about EV being so easy. It's NORMAL ffs. Come back and cry after you clear all bosses on Nightmare mode.
  9. They actually did increase the capacity of all servers. If you did not notice, yesterday in the evening there was no queue estimated time logner than 30 minutes on even the mostly populated servers, while before some queues could take up to 1-2 hours. Good job BioWare!
  10. I would say that the more likely scenario is that we will have to kill the Emperor in order to stop him from wiping out entire life in the galaxy. Guess who will help us and probably sacrifice himself to become the savior of the galaxy once more...
  11. /Facepalm Can you see how egoistic you are? Let's say I prefer to face some challenge when it comes to end game content. But I can understand that some people want to just play few hours per week without any pressure. I am fine with that. That is why there are different difficulty levels. But not allowing me to enjoy the level of challenge I would like pisses me off. Seriously, your arguments make no sense at all. If you want to play with your friends then just stick with the normal mode and enjoy the game. But by removing hard/nightmare/whatever difficulty from the game you are taking away fun from other players. Think about that and FU. There are many kinds of players in any MMO and thus many different playstyles. That is why we need to make compromises and have variety of content that pleases everyone.
  12. Nice, can't wait to explore Taris. I am level 37 atm so I guess I will get there soon.
  13. I just finished reading Revan novel... I feel so sad and... empty right now. I do not understand one thing though...
  14. EDIT: I just watched The Foundary encounter from the last beta build and I got some decent news for you - Revan no longer dies, he just vanishes. Or maybe teleports? He either becomes one with the force or... something else? Maybe he survives? Follow up in expansion/content patch? Well, I guess we have to wait and see. People who are so certain that he is dead - sorry to say this but you have no imagination. It is naive to think that he will not reappear in the game at all at some point. He is the ultimate ******, everyone who played KotOR just loves this guy - after all we played him! Some canon quotes to give you some insight: ----------------------------------------------------------- Many people are not happy with the way he dies. I am one of those people, it's strange that BioWare kept Revan alive for three centuries just so that he can get killed in a flashpoint. I get it, BioWare wanted to make our characters feel really heroic. What better way to do that than to let us kill the Revan himself - the guy who we all held so dear to our hearts, that we played in KotOR as our avatar and who seems OP to us all. After all we slaughtered hundreds of sith by ourselfs and saved the galaxy. The four heroes who kill Revan are the finest of the Empire: Sith Warrior is the Emperor's Wrath (finest swordsman in the whole Empire), Sith Inqusitor is member of the Dark Council, Bounty Hunter is a future Mandalore and winner of the Great Hunt and finally Imperial Agent is like the best agent of the whole imperial intelligence. Still, I dont like they way they ended Revan's tale in SW:TOR. I can only hope he somehow survived and that he will reappear later on in the game. Good thing that they put him in, great feature for all KotOR fans and fanboys like me. I was thinking recently a lot about the way Revan's story is handled in TOR. And something came to my mind. Why not let Revan help us in the fight? But it would make sense to defeat him if Revan helped us. And if he died during fight, saving our life it would be very fitting end for him. I would be more than satisfied with such an end for Revan, if BioWare wants to kill him off and move on with his story. And thus we have two problems solved - fans that are angry about the way Revan dies are now happy because he was given a fitting end and people that complained about JK killing the Emperor alone are also satisfied because it seems more likely that we managed to kill him with aid of "the heart of the force". What do you guys think?
  15. Copied topic from the old forums. THIS TOPIC WILL BE UPDATED ONCE PEOPLE POST NEW SPOILERS. KotOR: Revan Players get to meet Revan in two flashpoints. If you are Republic, you rescue and break Revan out of Taral V prison. If you are Empire, you confront him later on in The Foundary flashpoint and... kill him. And I do not think that empire players can chose to not fight Revan. They have to kill him. So it's canon that he dies I guess. Taral V flashpoint stroyline occurs BEFORE The Foundary storyline. When you rescue him, he tells you that the Emperor imprisoned him for over 300 years and kept him alive with Sith alchemy. He used him as a link to the light side of the force. The link worked both ways and Revan managed to influence the Emperor and temper his hate - convince him that peace was in his best interest. Jedi Exile's ghost appears and Revan swears to finish what he, along with his friend started. Jedi Exile died while attempting to stop the Sith Emperor. More about that in Revan novel. That is the end of flashpoint. Revan leaves and goes to The Foundary, ancient rakata complex. Complex was guarded for 300 years by HK-47 with who I am sure, you are all familiar with. Army of destructive battle droids is being produced at this complex and Revan plans to release it on the Sith Empire. Droids will wipe out 99.7% of the Empire's population - all members of sith race. Players stop Revan and kill him. When Revan dies he says: "As the darkness takes me, I am nothing. Now I know how you felt, my friend". It's open for interpretation, but I believe that Revan is refering to Darth Malak. He dies the same way as Malak did - a bit ironic isn't it? What do you think about all this? I heared a lot of people complain that BioWare kept Revan alive only to turn him to the dark side and than kill him. Why does everyone assume he turned to the dark side? He wants to save the Republic and he can do it only by annihilating Sith Empire. What would you do in his place? If killing entire race would save my friends/family and would mean victory for my faction I would do it without any secound thoughts. Still, this ending quote kind of confirms that he turned to the DS. This sucks if you ask me. Still, there is no corpse left and he just vanished. So, it is VERY LIKELY that he is alive. If you know anything else about Revan, post it here. There are also 2 quest lines related to directly to Revan if you chose Sith Empire faction. First one is on Dromund Kaas - you discover secret cult of Revan and become member of it (or you decide to destroy it). The members of the order of Revan call themselfs Revanites. Another quest is on Nar Shadda - you are given a task of discovering Revan's secret complex. It is defended by droids and aliens that lived in it for over three centuries. Bastila Shan Not much, as a Jedi Consular you get to talk to her via holocron. In the holocron, she is a Jedi Master and is older than in KotOR. HK-47 Players destroy him in The Foundary flashpoint. Later on we get to fight him again. Where? In another Flashpoint - Darth Malgus rebuilt him and now uses him as his personal bodyguard droid. OMG! Such a lame sith gets such an awesome droid? Srsly? Only Revan can be allowed to have HK-47 as his companion. Canderous Ordo We only know that there are 2 factions of Mandalorians. Main faction supports Sith Empire. Second faction believes that it should follow the path of Mandalore the Preserver aka Canderous Ordo and support Republic in it's war effort. Smugglers will loot Canderous Ordo's skull from a vault while on their class quest to rob an Imperial treasury ship at the end of chapter 2. Its purple "epic" quality, but serves no purpose other than as a quest item and is not mentioned by any characters. Carth Onasi Unknown Jolee Bindo Unknown Juhani Unknown Mission Vao Mission and Big Z start and run a small business together (some kind of shop), and Revan didn't want them to come along on his quest to Dromund Kaas because they had finally found some stability. While Mission is probably not alive by now, it is possible that we will get to meet Zaalbar. Zaalbar Read above. We may get to meet him somewhere - maybe on Kashyyyk as a chieftan or on Taris? We will see. T3-M4 T3-M4 is destroyed. He was blown up into million pieces when Revan and Jedi Exile confronted the Emperor. But he is a droid, so maybe he will come back? ;o Trask Ulgo Apparently his descendant is a nutjob that is behind Alderaan crisis... It's just one of the countless references to minor KotOR characters. KotOR 2:TSL Jedi Exile Her canon name is Meetra Surik. She manages to find Revan and confronts the Emperor alongside him. They are betrayed by Lord Scourge and the Exile is stabbed in her back... and so she dies. Sucks if you ask me but meh. Not a fitting end for KotOR 2 main character. Kreia There is a theory floating around amongst us long term testers, that Kreia shows up in the SW story as the Dark Side Entity. You can't see her face, but there is mention of her almost wiping out life in the galaxy a few hundred years ago via the Force and it's the first thought that popped into a lot of our minds, "Hey, I think that's Kreia!" If you have more information concering other KotOR characters, post it here please.
  16. Any ideas what best crew skills would be for Sith Warrior focusing on PvE end-game content and raiding. I thought about Synthweaving, Archeology and Underworld Trading. Or... 1) Artifice 2) Archeology 3) Treasure Hunting Cant decide ;/
  17. In previous topic before forums wipe we had 200 posts and 1k views – let’s keep it up! If you are Polish and are proud of it, write it here. Polish vodka ftw.
  18. I loved the game so far, best MMO out there at the moment hands down. Still, game is out for few days and it's not a surprise that there are many technical issues involved. While there are some in-game bugs related to the gameplay, I think BioWare should focus all of it's efforts on fixing two main, big issues that can be game breaking for many people. Forget about adding content patches or dealing with balance issues until you adress the following problems: First of all, the wait time! It is just crazy how long you have to wait on weekend evening to be able to play the game. Some people who do not have time to play for all day and log in in the evening are just unable to play at all. By saying players to switch to other servers you will not fix anything. The reason being, that they want to play with friends on the same server. They will not just leave and go play on some low populated server where they do not know anyone. You need to either introduce free server tranfsers for whole guild ASAP or get new, better servers. Also, add grace period after getting dc - 5 minutes at least! At this time if you lose connection to the server for just a second, you are pretty much screwed. Yesterday my game crashed and I had to wait for 2 hours to be able to play. And here we come to another serious issue in a game - optimization and loading times. Sometimes when I get into new location, I have to wait from 5 up to 10 minutes so the game can load. This is just ridiculous! And no, I do not have a wooden PC. I played Skyrim on high settings and everything worked very smoothly. And tell me whatever you want, but TOR does not have a highest standard of graphics (as for today) - my hardware should manage to load it as smoothly as Skyrim just fine. Fix the 2 above issues before you work on anything else BioWare. Overall, you made a great game, I hope you keep it up
  19. Got same issue, I logged out of the game and now I am waiting for 1 hour already. :|
