  1. So, I've been back since DvL started and I've now gotten all of my crafting to 550, and I wanted to start making some Augment 9 slots for when I get higher level ( I'm really not messing with the augment slot until then), but I'm having a hard time finding out the best way to obtain the mk-9 components. I know they come from RE'ing level 9 items, but I'm not exactly sure which items will give the component and which won't. Also, I'd be interested in finding out which synth'd item is cheapest to make to obtain the components. Do they only come from blue or higher items? I've gotten zip from the green items that I received from TH lockboxes. I've done searches, but alot of the info is pre 4.0, where I think they changed the method of obtaining them. Thanks for any help and info.
  2. Thanks for all of the help and suggestions... I think I have a better grasp of the end game situation right now. It does suck that they nerfed the TH lockboxes right when I discovered the value of them, but at the same time I was beginning to get a bit obsessed with constantly having a crew member out on TH missions, and it was taking some of the fun out of the game. ... And that kind of defeats the whole point..lol
  3. So, if I buy a single item on the Cartel, will I then need to go to collections to unlock it for every other character? Or do I need to unlock it for each character I want to use it on? Also, is it a standard amount to unlock? Tweek, and HK..... those are additional companions right? Do you get then automatically, or just the ability to unlock them by a quest in the game? Is it account wide?
  4. I'm not asking what to buy to resell for profit, but I just want to make sure I spend my 3-4k cartel points wisely. I don't really like the lottery of buying packs, and I don't need any more character slots, so I'm not exactly sure what to buy. Lot's of the storage expansion seems to be a much better value if you use in-game currency instead of cartel. While I'd love to buy some of the cool fashion items, I kind of hate the fact that it's relegated to one character instead of "bound to legacy" Thanks for any help and or suggestions.
  5. So I happened to start the game back up after a long break, right when DvL started, and I've gotten a bit obsessed with it. Leveling is so much easier now as a sub, and it's alot easier to enjoy the story without feeling too grindy, but now on to my question.... Since I had lots of raw materials from my previous characters, I was able to take my new toons rather quickly through the process and have now gotten 550 on all crew skills. Now, I'm really not sure what the best things to do with them are? TH lockboxes seem to be a great way to make steady income and npc the items, but other than that I'm a bit confused. While I have nothing against making money, I really just want to use my crafts to make all of the gear for each of my characters, and have a wide variety of fashion types of outfits, colors, and dyes. I was kind of surprised when there weren't any new 550 recipes at the trainers.... am I missing something, or do I just need to break down all of items to get better recipes. I get purple schematics from the blue... Do I get orange schematics if I break down the purple? I'm also getting different synth/armor/arm recipes from slicing lockboxes, but are there other places I' should be getting them from. Sorry for the rambling, but I'm basically just looking for some sort of general max level guide, so I'm putting all of my newly leveled skills to the best use. Thanks for any help and or advice.
  6. First off, this thread is awesome, and has answers alot of the questions I've had since starting back with the DvL event. My question is what events could I skip in the timeline for sole DvL completion. Also, must everything post- main story quest be done in order? Thanks
  7. I don't want to take any credit for the Rey specs, because I just followed the template created on Sworista.com. Hopefully this link will work... http://swtorista.com/articles/how-to-look-like-rey-in-swtor-character-customization-and-outfit/ But if you do any quick search for Rey Swotor, it comes up.
  8. I'm having alot of fun with my Rey look alike for the light side, and thought Jyn Erso as maybe an imperial agent would be a fun playthough for my dark side run. The only problem is I kind of suck at the character creator..lol. Could probably do some good star wars rebels creations as well. Anyway, thanks for the help and or suggestions.
  9. Can you change crew skills on a character once you cap it? Can you go back to it again?
  10. Assuming I'm not going for legendary completion, am I fine just having one Pub and one Imp DvL character? I have some older midlevel characters with different crafting skills that I don't want to abandon.
  11. Thanks for the quick responses. Do you have to unlock the rewards in order, because I think I may get eternal level way before champion level. And I'm just assuming I'll never come close to Legendary...lol.
  12. So, I got back in the game right around DvL and have been having lots of fun. I recently just hit 50 with my Jedi Shadow, and unlocked my 2nd reward pack. Next on my checklist is Valient level where I have to complete Revan and the first 9 of Fallen empire. I've still got lots of main story left, as well as Rise of Hutt Cartel, and probably some other story stuff too. Do I need to do all of this before Reven and Fallen empire (I think I need to be around 55 min to start revan), or can I just skip to Revan whenever it unlocks? I realize now the difficulty level isn't great because I'm overlevel'd, but do Revan and FE ever get difficult? Is the unlock for Eternal Champions diffficult? I think you need to reach level 5. Since I've been doing all this on a Pub character, do I only need to get to 65 anyway possible for the Imperial character? Thanks for any help and or advice.
  13. So... I'm newly back after a long hiatus and really enjoying the DvL event and the game in general. I've spent alot of time on Guild Wars 2, where alot of the fun comes from combining different outfits and color combos do really give your character a unique look. In this game, there are lots of cool things too, but they all seem to be ridiculously expensive on the market, and I was just curious if there were any cheaper alternatives or cool things you can buy from npc's anywhere. I'm playing as a human female, so I'm looking for anything cool/sexy or just unique. Also, a quick question about orange gear..... Is all orange gear basically the same, and you just increase the stats/level of the items by putting in better and better mods as you gain levels? Thanks for any help and or advice.
  14. Thanks for the quick and helpful response. I just wasn't sure if the 50-65 levels were locked behind the expansion content, but since I'm subscribed and have them all, i'm glad it won't be a problem.
  15. So, with the DvL event, it seemed like the perfect time to start back up again, and I'm having a great time so far with lv. 30 Shadow, but I had a few quick questions. I'm leveling up crazy quick right now, even without using the exp bonus items, and I'm just curious if this will cap before I finish the story quest. I think Hutt Cartel expansion takes you beyond 50, so if I hit 50 3/4 of the way through the story, will I not get any exp for the remainder? If so, I'll really start to focus on purple quests only. Also, I feel as if I'm missing something easy when it comes to traveling. I thought there was an easier way to go from a planet to the Fleet or to my stronghold with just being returned to the loading dock of the planet each time I want to pick up the story quest again. Is this just the way it is, or am I missing something? And finally, do I have to join my guild with every specific character I create or is it account wide? Will I need a separate guild for Dark side or Light? Thanks for any help and or advice.
