  1. I unsubbed today. This is why. Crafting- Completely boring and mostly useless. A rich crafting system would make this game slightly more playable. I mean Star Wars Galaxies was around for about a decade with a brilliant crafting system. What we got here was a timer you can click on your character that will eventually produce an item that at high levels is exactly the same as the items hundreds of other crafters on the server are crafting. More over there are very few craftable items that are useful. Crafting... terrible. A little creativity in the crafting system would likely have kept me somewhat interested. PvP- I'm not a huge PvP player, but this is what I got out of PvP in 3 months I played this game. Queue up for match, huttball, get steam rolled by a premade. Queue up again, huttball, premade steam rolls you. And so on and so forth. How about this? If a group over 5 queues together they get put into a different "premade pool" Then pick up players might actually, you know, enjoy PvP. All the super PvP players can compete against each other. Hell they should probably enjoy that more. World PvP- None to speak of. In 50 Levels I probably encountered maybe 6 players of the opposing faction... on a PvP server. So I'm not even sure why there would be a difference between PvP and PvE servers. PvE- So this is what I usually find the most fun in an MMO. Getting a bunch of dudes and trying to down bosses, for cool rewards. Hard Mode flashpoint... what to say, what to say. Its pretty awesome to reach a boss in a flashpoint, only to have them bug out and become immune. HK-47 in the foundry, click his box so he doesn't load his slaughter program... only he does it anyway... 4 times in a row time to go farm for repair bills. Operations- It took my guild all of two attempts to clear the Eternity Vault. The Ops can be cleared in about 2 hours, and they weren't challenging. The only thing to look forward to is fighting the boss again... this time with more health, and he will drop the same gear that you already have... this time with slightly higher numbers for stats!!! I'll add that the high end armor looks terrible for the most part... and it all looks the same! Really for the highest gear we couldn't take the time to make unique skins for it?!? There are probably hundreds of uniquely deigned pieces of armor in the game, but it couldn't be done for the best gear... How was that acceptable? Total of about 4 hours of endgame content to tackle each week. Hard Mode and Nightmare are absolutely not appealing. How about this, dynamic encounters. Operations that have some randomness when you enter. Different bosses, different/dynamic trash mob encounters. I will grant that the story lines are pretty fun, I really enjoyed the Sith Sorcerer story, alas that is not enough to keep me subbed to the game. I tried playing a few alts and replaying the same quests becomes quite tedious. Of course, with a kind of fun crafting system, maybe leveling alts would be more fun. And so, there you have it. These are the reasons I am leaving the game. I have 16 days remaining on my sub, so I will probably see the next patch. I may return but for now, I am out

  3. So they brought you to the Guild Summit to show you patch 1.2?
  4. No. I will give it a month or two, then I will probably bounce. The endgame is far too easy. The rewards are boring terrible looking endgame gear, doesn't change if you do the same FP's on hard/nightmare. Hardmode/nightmare is just a dumb idea for extending play. Why the hell would I want to just grind the same FP's... now with bosses that have more health!! Crafting is terrible/useless. BUGSBUGSBUGS! Ahhh I did the thing that is supposed to keep HK-47 from one shotting everyone in the group... oh he's doing it anyway?...5 attempts straight. So I hope Bioware turns it around... they probably will not.
  5. Nope, endgame is far too easy. Clear EV in one week... Now try it with bosses that have more health!!!! No thanks. All for that sweet, sweet endgame armor... It looks absolutely terrible. Crafting... so simple. How do MMO developers see crafting in Star Wars Galaxies and not model after it? SWTOR... click on this item...It gets built... Now destroy the item for a very small chance to get the artifact schematic... which is exactly the same as the other hundred or so crafters on your server.
  6. Gotta say, I am also disappointed. I remember back in the old MC days of WoW. Guilds would spend MONTHs getting the MC cleared after they started in on it. I don't miss 40 man raids, but maybe 10-12 would be a good balance. My guild steps into EV clears in three attempts. I really don't have much interest in playing it through on HM or NMM because now the bosses...have more hp? Sweet! I can get armor that is functionally and visually(terrible BTW) the same as the armor I am already wearing... So disappointing.
  7. Like it says, we have been attempting this. An *** ton of Acklays spawn and we all die. No idea how to deal with that. Any input?
  8. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#201GGrRbbodGzZf00zZbM.1 So my full emphasis is on healing operations and hard modes. The only time I really step out of that is for conspiring force. I justify that one point for when I do pvp, never hurts to slow dudes down. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance!
  9. I've probably spent hours of my life staring at the Star Wars load screens.... minutes at a time. Is there really a need for the orbital stations, just to get one more load screen in?
  10. I definitely put this in general chat the other day to which someone replied "JAAAAAAAAAAWWWWAAAAA" or something similar. On a serious note, I would like to see playable droid characters.
  11. Gameplay wise they feel similar... very similar. This isn't a bad thing. WoW- For me this game was fun to play because the UI was easy to work with, and it was easy to understand what I had to do. I remember playing games like SWG and FFXI, the UIs were difficult and I really had no idea what I was supposed to be doing... I used to set up camps outside major cities in SWG with my Wookiee Scout, and just hang out... I got bored not long after that. Part of my problem I think is that I didn't understand MMO's completely. So for WoW I would say easy-to-understand gameplay, and at the time it was just a pretty game. The zones changed dramatically. I remember swimming across the river from Goldshire to Duskwood and having an epic battle with what I thought was some super boss wolf. But that change in scenery was really brilliant. SWTOR does this very well. I wanted to progress in the game to figure out what was over there. I think these things made it fun. For WoW I really didn't know if there was a point to anything I was doing. I mean I killed the **** out of Onyxia... but I'm not sure why other than to get my Judgement Crown(looked ****** btw) I did Molten Core... not sure why I was killing Ragnaros but man... you gotta get those purples... I think I continued playing because I liked the relationships I formed with other players. I think the lack of purpose was why one day I just said... "eh I'm done with this"... never played again. SWTOR- The gameplay is similar to WoW and the UI is very friendly... well I would like to be able to move windows but whatever. I always feel like I am completing a quest for a reason. You are really part of the game. I'm not a fan of the companion system... Oh hey Khem Val #54948. Maybe more companions or allow for some choice. I mean we already see a lot of really identical Sith running around, we don't need to see their identical companions. Hell I went light side with my Inquisitor so I could use a different color lightsaber. I wish there were more variance in the Races... It is currently blue guy or red guy or grey guy. Make them good or bad at something. Some kind of special abilities. I don't care if you can't voice my Wookiee, I still want to be one. Just a few thoughts...
  12. For those of you who are rolling today.(and for some reason are reading the forums instead of playing...) MANY were complaining about low fps rate with good systems in the beta, has this improved as far as you can tell?
