  4. It will! C: It'll tell you your total heals, your over-hps and your useful hps. I think HPS isn't really measurable, though, as it depends on the fight and what's going on in it, as well as how squishy your other players are, and if they're standing in red circles. Also, it's hard to find a fight where the damage being dealt is consistent for a solid five minutes for someone to heal through. sometimes, to get those high numbers, your other healer has to die. :c (it's for the good of my hps, I'm sure he'll understand ... : D?) All this time spent deciding what do get and what’s the best waste of talents … was it worth it? +300 alacrity is around 9% faster cast times. Let’s say I use Diagnostic Scan on my scoundrel. I can use that alacrity so that my DS ticks faster. This means more heals in less time, that I can soon spend on other, more important things – like using an Emergency Medpac or beginning an Underworld Medicine. +300 Surge is around 76% surge rating (eg, I have a heal that heals for 1000 hp. I get lucky and crit, and now my heal is worth 1760 hp). I’d like to start with what I would consider to be the best stat: Surge. Looking at http://mmo-mechanics.com/swtor/forums/attachment.php?aid=292 this graph, we can see that surge … It has a rate of return that seems to all but disappear at 300. It requires another 100 points in surge to get 2-4% increase. So that's my cap: 300 surge (You’re welcome to spec into surge more, if you feel that alacrity really is unnecessary. I am not saying that it is wrong to spec fully into surge, I just find it to be a waste of points, though, and is better for me to get slightly faster heals off. That will increase my healing more than those extra %s of surge). +350 Crit. I should have around 35% crit, depending on buffs. (so this means every time I heal, I’m 35% likely to crit on a heal, to get that 78% healing bonus. The formula for crit is determined by your mainstat and your crit rating: 5+30*(1-(1-(0.01/0.3))^((primarystat/20)/2.5))+30*(1-(1-(0.01/0.3))^((crit/20))/0.45) (http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=63362). In addition, there’s a 5% bonus from the smuggler buff, and a 5% base crit. (I’m not sure how accurate the formula seems to be, however. :c ) Crit doesn’t seem to have a cap, but I’ve found that I like to keep my crit around 350. I know other healers who stick to 300, and others who like 400 crit. Find the right number for you. You can do this by asking yourself how important it is to crit on your heals. On Megan (sage), I favor a lower crit rate – around 36%, whereas on Nicole (scoundrel) I like a higher crit rating, around 40%. Because the mainstat plays into this as well, you shouldn’t be too concerned about getting a ton of crit. I around 325 surge on my sage, and 350 surge on my scoundrel (I’d love to hear other people’s thoughts on this, as I know there’s a lot of “what you prefer” in terms of healing here). +1889-1923 endurance. Endurance is a flat rate of +10 hp per point. That’s around 18890 health, + 2700 main health (at least, for sages), so having your health around 20690 is ideal. You want endurance as low as possible. If you go for higher endurance, you’ll find that it comes at a cost to other stats, such as your mainstat. You’ll want larger heals and a bigger number on the health bar, so minimum endurance is needed. +880 power. That should give you around +145 bonus healing (+190 bonus DPS). power will always benefit you. Because of this, it’s the last stat I feel you should think about. You want to maximize the benefits from everything else first, since there’s no limit on power. +2388-2456 mainstat. This is your <3omgiloveyou stat. You should get lots of pretty healing from this.

  8. Hey there! I'd like to throw in some numbers for healers. It's a little bit ramble-y, but ask if you have questions or something is not clear. I personally only play a scoundrel and a sage, so if a commando healer has imput, that would be wonderful! c: This is a guide for how to gear your healer. Just because these are the numbers I would go with in NO WAY make it the best possible combination for gear. I just thought I would throw it out there to help anyone who's looking at which pieces are relatively okay and are better than the others. Final stats for each class! Scoundrel: +2456 mainstat +1889 endurance +880 power +352 crit +300 surge +300 alacrity Sage: +2388 mainstat +1889 endurance +880 power +352 crit +300 surge +300 alacrity Commando: +2434 mainstat +1923 endurance +875 power +352 crit +300 surge +300 alacrity Note: These numbers are based on the current BiS (63) gear. so. gear. at this point, gearing is about making the best possible combination for all of these stats. You have nine pieces of gear that you can mod: Head, chest, hands, belt, leggings, boots, wrists, offhand, and mainhand. 9 armorings, 9 mods, and 7 enhancements. Total, there's 14 things you can add augments to. armorings have endurance and mainstat. mods have endurance, mainstat, and tier two stats. enhancements have endurance, tier two stats, and tier three stats. tier one stats: mainstat/endurance tier two stats: power and crit tier three stats: surge and alacrity (and accuracy, for DPS. ) Armorings in all pieces of gear for healers, you want the minimum amount of endurance possible and the most amount of everything else possible. at the end of the day, having 10 more endurance instead of 10 more mainstat will hurt you far more than it would ever help you. This means wearing: Advanced Resolve Armoring 27 +52 Endurance +72 Willpower Advanced Reflex Armoring 27 +52 Endurance +72 Aim Advanced Skill Armoring 27 +52 Endurance +72 Cunning This should be applied to every slot possible, which was already found to be nine armorings. This means that you should have +648 main stat and +468 endurance from your armorings. Enhancements Surge can be obtained from enhancements in our moddable gear. Luckily enough for us, there’s lots of enhancements that have surge. Since we want the lowest possible endurance and the maximum of our other stats, I’ll only show those enhancements. Advanced Adept Enhancement 27 +29 Endurance +44 Power +60 Surge Rating Advanced Battle Enhancement 27 +29 Endurance +44 Critical Rating +60 Surge Rating So, there you have it- your two choices of enhancements that offer surge. The tradeoff for enhancements is surge and alacrity. Here’s the two with alacrity. You’ll notice that there’s only two enhancements with surge, and two enhancements with alacrity. O: And what’s the difference between them? Power and Crit. But we’ll get to that … right now~! Mods Crit and power are obtained through mods and enhancements. There’s three flavors of mods. 27, 27A, and 27B. I prefer the regular 27 mods. Since you cannot cap power, that makes 27A out of the question. I’d recommend going with all 27s . If we do that, we get +504 main stat, +306 endurance, and +396 power/crit. Let’s look at earpieces. This is where you’re going to have to start picking based on class. In order to maximize tier two stats and your mainstat and minimize endurance, your class will determine which earpiece you can pick in terms of your third tier skills. The three healing classes do not have mirror earpieces. In fact, commandos do not even get a choice – they HAVE to go with high endurance earpieces. If you’re a scoundrel, the best earpieces are those with surge. If you’re a sage, you have a bit more of an option. The current BiS PvE relic is the Dread Guard Relic of Boundless Ages +64 Endurance +47 Power On use: Increases power by 350 for 30 seconds The current BiS PvP relic is the Elite War Hero Relic of Boundless Ages +44 Endurance +60 Expertise Rating +120 Power (no on use effect) These are the two I would pick for any healing class, as long as you remember to use the clickable relic. If you will not remember, pick up two EWH Boundless Ages relics, because otherwise the clickable relic will not help you. If you do get the clickable relic, though, we can add + 110 endurance, +167 power, +60 expertise Expertise does nothing in PvE, though, and will be ignored in this “guide” starting now. Now, the final piece of equipment to address is augments. You get fourteen augments. Each augment adds +18 to a stat (any stat) and + 12 endurance. That’s +252 to any stat you’d like, and +168 endurance.
