  1. i read it. Excellent insight, excellent wording, good vibes, and i hope you are right. Although i am dissapointed they did the easy thing and catered to the casual crowd a bit too much, as i loved SWG's sandboxy feel... its still solid in my book and i do have faith that bioware can make something even better of it in time.
  2. Of course, i am not denying that. I am just making it known that i would very much like to see this, and guage how many others feel the same.
  3. Hello, this will be short and simple. I'm trying to see how many of you support this Idea. When you found out about Bounty Hunter, did you want to use a Blaster Rifle? Why shouldn't you be able to? When you found out there were Sith or Jedi, were you dissapointed that based on your AC class you'd be pidgeon-holed into using a saberstaff/2sabers/1saber? These requirements are silly. Boba fett used an EE-3 RIFLE. Imperial agents should be able to use a pistol if they so choose. This should be a relatively simple thing to implement, especially for the Gun-Using classes. If the abilities make you shoot a gun... why does it matter exactly what KIND of gun you are using? Some freedom in the weapon requirements would be a good thing and make alot of people happy. Please post if you support this Idea. Thank you.
  4. Yes. The NGE sucked. But even after the NGE my simple point is that it had a number of features SWTOR could benefit from.
  5. Yes, it is dead. Did you think lucasarts would let more than one MMO of star wars exist at one time? Its death is a direct result of the old republic. That said, Galaxies had a number of things going for it. Space combat was ACTUALLY COOL. There was alot of item differentiation. Jedi's could use whatever kind of saber they wanted. Other classes had a bigger range of weapon choices for their skills. Crafting was not rendered useless by raid gear. So... yes. But that doesn't mean Bioware can't take what was good in it and use it for their advantage. BTW galaxies had an APPEARANCE TAB.
  6. Ok, not going to make this too long. This is about endgame gear. We should all be aware by now that the highest tier purple gear is pretty much the best gear anyone can get. So once people actually grind out that gear in whichever manner they choose, PVP, Raids, or crafting, which is silly because the same raids the schematics drop in, the actual PIECES drop in.. We will all look pretty much the same. As a new 50, i'm still wearing my level 40 pvp gear for sith warriors. Its pretty lame starting a match of huttball or whatever and seeing 3 others who look exactly the same. Who's idea was it to just reskin the same models and call it something different? Same with the custom speeders? Everything in the game feels very little differentiated, and homogonized to the point of banality. People like having things be different. even if they are 1% different and are willing to work their asses off to get something even 1% different. I guarantee if you made the speeders cybertech makes LOOK different than the other ones and maybe give them a 2% speed increase... (and removed the stupid BOP) then suddenly there would be a market for them. Everyone running around with the same stuff, the same speeders, the same ships, Not really being able to look different (except social items which are useless in combat except for light armor classes anyway) Is no fun! That said, i will continue to play and am still pleased with the game. Heres a TL;DR version for you reading-challenged folks Bioware: If you want your game to succeed... please take these suggestions 1) Differentiate the Gear 2) Make every crew skill actually worthwhile and not overshadowed by raid/pvp gear 3) Perhaps appearance tab if you guys are too lazy for #1 4) do something with the atrocious space combat system 5) Loosen up the restricions on weapons. It makes no sense that a BH is FORCED to use pistols. Boba fett used a rifle. Come on. Likewise agent's should be able to use pistols, assassins should be able to use one handed sabers, etc. Some of these seem obvious. People's cosmetics and simple little things like that mean alot to them. I was bummed to find out that i HAD to pick juggernaut if i wanted to be melee and use only a single one handed saber. That's lame. You've already forced us to pick one class and stick with it. Give us the ability to play it the way we want. Little things DO matter. ps, learn from galaxies.
  7. This is one of my major bummers. I ran into about 10 players on tatooine during my 20's and now i'm 42 and havent' seen another player since. Does bioware think that 3 warzones will hold my attention? I love PVP, but i want to do REAL PVP and have a bunch of my friends n me attack a town or something...oh wait the guards all have 1 billion health. Good job discouraging open world pvp. So what they are telling me is i have to sit there and do the same 3 warfronts over and over again to get valor? Why can't i get even a small amount of valor for slaying a +/- 5 level player in world? Thats LAME! If nothing is fixed with PVP by the first major patch i too will unsubscribe.
  8. Hello, i've been reading what people are saying and just lurking since the game came out but i feel its time to make my opinion known and see what the rest of you say. I love Open World PVP, i was just fighting Republic Scum in the Czerka tunnels with a spontaneous group of 9 fellow empire players after a Jedi attempted to gank me while i was fighting some droids and got killed, and started calling his buddies. So far the eagerness i see of my fellow empire players to PVP is fun, and great. It was a nice break from questing to fight PVP but it can be made much better and also slightly more worthwhile. 1) Give a small amount of valor upon killing an enemy player that is +/- 5 levels to you. Warzones shouldn't be the only way you can make Valor points. 2) Create an element of Danger by making the Medical droid option take significantly longer if you are killed by an enemy player. I am aware that the more times you use it the longer it takes, that is a good start. But when its 1 on 1 and you kill somebody, 9 times out of 10 they wait until you are fighting some mobs and are low on health to come and gank you later. It becomes a tedious and a vicious cycle. Victory should be victory. I should be safe for at least as long as it takes the guy to come back from the Medical center, unless he wants to sit there for 10 minutes waiting on the medical droid. Simultaneously, lower the difficulty of the guards in towns and cities in contested areas to encourage invasions. Some of the most fun i could think i'd ever have is getting a bunch of guys together and just attacking a republic town. I hate to reference WoW, because i never played it to max level and i really don't like it alot. But alot of people just play it cause their friends do. I played on a private server for a short time and it was great fun when Alliance attacked the orc capital when we were in it, forcing the citizens (Players) to come to the defense. You felt like you were part of an actual war, not one invented for story purposes. All that said, I love what bioware has done with the game so far, the story is quite immersive, the quests are nowhere near as tedious as other MMO's. Quite a fun and addictive game, just my 2 cents on how World PVP could be made much more fun. The fact is, World PVP is part of this game and to neglect it and not make it as interesting and worth doing as all the other stuff you can do is a crime! I would love to see tons of players forming invasions and counter-pushes, and defending major areas, not just on one planet, Ilum, or on special pre made PVP zones... but all over the galaxy!
  9. Occidian, Sith Warrior checking in. I've tanked for some of you guys, world boss on balmorra, few instances, guard duty in the warzones. I'm pretty vocal in general chat so some of you may know me from there.
  10. Full support bioware please listen!! Please please!!!
  11. Yes, i have friends across 10 servers and i'm sure they'd be willing to move but they already put 15+hours into their characters. Nobody wants to re-roll especially when an MMO is just beginning. Love the game but it needs to be polished and fixed fast, especially open world PVP. CHARACTER TRANSFERS BIOWARE, DO IT NAO!
