I seldom visit the forums, but had to come voice my displeasure over the recent changes to elecrocute and overload in the sith sorceror skills. I used to use these quite extensively in my regular play (Dailies, Pugging FP's, helping friends, etc...) Howvever now they have gone from "situational use" to "meh, keep them out for flavor on a side bar".
Where do I start? Electrocute - 10 m range? seriously? I am a cloth caster, I am NOT getting closer than 30m to anything hostile (except my wife, but that's a whole nother topic...) This used to be a situational spell that I would use when pugging (as healer) to stop heat beams or other effects to also give me a brief window to catch up on the heals. I would also use it when sending my tank pet into a group to minimize the alpha strike damage he would take. My 3rd most common use would be as an additional interrupt when solo'ing a gold. Now, it is practically useless to me because if something is coming within range for me to use it, I'm taking other actions to get the "H" "E" double hockey sticks out of dodge.
Overload - the change here is not as saddening as Electrocute, it still has some situation use (i.e. use it now instead of the new watered-down version of Electrocute). I used to use this as my retreat effect or my knock over the edge effect. I turn to run, overload to get them off me, then force speed away. Now it will not work for that function as it will only get the 1 mob infront of me and not any others that maybe swarming me. It used to be fun, if not that efficient to also bubble and gather some mobs by a death drop off and knock them all off - now it's just a weak version of the Juggernauts single target knockback (and man can you get some distance with that baby! ) To sum it up, this was situational and FUN. It is not either anymore.
I respectfully ask these for these powers to be re-instated to their pre-nerf levels or in lieu of that to be refunded the money I spent training them and have them removed from my powers.
