  1. Probably Revan as the overall winner, as I think Vader would likely suffer a mortal injury in the battle. That being said all 'game' heroes have an advantage over 'movie' hero's because game hero's are always OP. Firstly Darth Vader was never strong enough to beat the Emperor in a fair fight, or he would have done it long before Luke came of age. Secondly Yoda was generally considered the strongest in the force on the Jedi side (movie era). On that basis I think the Emperor and Yoda go into the fight with a distinct advantage over Vader. However Revan was created as the hero for KOTOR 1 & 2 and pretty much single handedly brought about the end of the Sith Empire. Much like Galen Marek (Starkiller - Force Unleashed) Revan was the typical 7 foot tall and bulletproof hero who could do things that no movie Sith or Jedi could. Its hard to compare apples with oranges. So if you did compare them all, the game hero has an unfair advantage. Thus Revan would beat everyone. Preferably I think characters should be compared by genre, game hero to game hero and movie hero to movie hero. What about Revan v Starkiller? Seems to me Revan is the 'Ringer' in this scenario. P.S. I was assuming you meant Emperor Palpatine and not the 'game' Emperor, who would beat everyone.
  2. General Chat is a common feature of all games commonly referred to as an 'MMO'. So I would argue it's not killing SWTOR, as it would be contrary to what's expected of any MMO. However a word of advice is this; click on chat, click on settings and deselect the boxes for general or area chat. Alternatively click on the little arrow thingy in the top left corner to make the chat box entirely disappear. Problem solved - restlessone saves the day - hurrah. Warning - don't ask people to refrain from making rude/inappropriate comments in general chat (like I have) as you will likely meet with some fairly unfriendly remarks. Unless you enjoy that kind of thing. You could consider ignoring them, another cool feature of an MMO. Also does anyone else think there's some irony to someone complaining about general chat in a general discussion forum, considering the similarities?? hmmm
  3. Rubbish. TOR expanded the Star Wars universe giving it more life, unlike what George almost did in episodes 1-3. Game mechanics don't count because I can't see how that could "kill Star Wars". The only thing hurting Star Wars, and any other game, are the whingers who always want more and the Dev's who change things to 'try' and make them happy (the small minority are always the most vocal). Go back to WoW. Viva SWTOR.
  4. Has to be Vader, he was born from pure force like Jesus. Even the Jedi Masters admitted Vader/Anakin had the highest mitichlorian count EVER. Besides if Malgus was so good how come Satele Shan almost killed him in Alderaan?
  5. Buyer Beware I just spent 24 Hoth Commendations on a Epic Chest thinking I would get something useful for me or a companion yet received an Inheritance Gloves Construction Kit! Holy Crud. For those not aware, that means I can buy a pair of level 14 gloves - not even upgradeable. Considering I'm level 40 and grinding 24 Commendations takes several hours I'm not real happy. If anyone's considering on buying an epic chest with commendations don't do it, until Bioware sort out these useless Inheritance items spend reward tokens carefully. To rub salt into the wound all my chars are lvl20+ so I can't even use them on any character.
  6. This is still happening. Just wasted an hour of my night and right before the drop point, poof. The balloon disappeared and I was seeing red.
  7. Though you make some good points Razeth in time I'm sure Bioware will address these problems. However I'd disagree with the statement this has been out a long time, it was only just released officially in Australia two weeks ago and we're only into the second month of release. I've been playing since release and only made lvl50 about 2 weeks ago, because unlike some I'm not hardcore and actually absorb myself into the MMO experience. As for raid difficulty something that turned me away from WoW was the brutal raiding mechanics which meant only the elite could run them without getting booted from the group (or abused for not doing enough dps, holding agro or healing quick enough). In that respect I hope Bioware don't just focus on appealing to the elitist (often jerks). I actually hated running WoW raids and stopped doing them because of the stupidly difficult bosses, most of which often got nerfed months later. All in all once they fix the bugs and tweak difficulty (slightly) I think everything will be perfect.
  8. Is its just me or does anyone else find the General Chat on the Role Playing Server Ajunta Pall disgraceful?? Feel free to describe the experience on other RP servers. You would think that a RP server would have better or more strict chat rules than normal servers but its certainly not the case, and it makes me think why even have RP servers. In fact the general chat on JJT makes Ajunta Pall look like the smut server. Examples; Last night people (quite a few) were talking about circumcisions....***. I ended up ignoring about 6 people before I turned off the channel entirely. And today people are talking about Homosexuality, mainly calling others gay etc and just being abusive or insulting to each other. FOR GODS SAKE I DON'T WANT TO SEE IT WHEN I'M TRYING TO FIND A GROUP FOR HEROICS YOU MORONS. I really hope Bioware take a leaf out of WoW's book and start enforcing chat rules on RP servers because I for one (being the Star Wars nerd I am) would love to involve myself more into the Lore side of things, without people ruining it for me.
