  1. I presume nothing.... .look at the threads all over the forums with many people complaining about the same thing. How bout my wife and friends that are also having the same issue? The republic fleet on my server right now has 40 people.... thats it lol. Thats one of the main pvp hubs if im not mistaken for all the pvp gear and stuff... yet its pretty much empty.
  2. Then you should not just make assumptions theres things bioware isn't doing that fosters a healthy community. Unless we can magically create server forums, remove sharding to interact with each other etc etc.
  3. I didn't say there was no socializing there is... in chat.... in the main city.... outside of that you cant tell me theres alot of anything going on. And I am happy that you are having a good experience however many of us are not. I see lots of people spamming for groups for hours and never getting one, same with world boss's. So kudos to you for being able to get groups and apparently seeing social activity on every planet. Because most servers theres nothing outside the main planet you come to at level 10.
  4. They failed at the most basic things that make an MMO. The community. It is very clear they would rather have this a single player game with a chat room. No server forums for starters. This hurts the community big time as people enter a server world with no direction no guild to join up with and no way to create a community with the rest of the players on the server because chat is limited to shards and well theres not many people on shards. Second the sharding and low server populations. Yes my server says full and gives me a 15 min que daily. But why is it when I log in theres no one around to group with or run stuff with? Why when I leave the major city at level 17 to the other planets to look around do I only see 30 or so players on each planet according to /who. That right there tells me that the server populations are set very very low. The main city corasont has about 150 per channel theres 2 channels... thats fine and dandy however thats probably 50% of the server pop. At level 15 after looking for a good hour I could not get a group for enemies of the republic. at 20 I could not get a group for hammer station either. Each time I need to put a group together I need to go back to the main city because theres just no players on the other planets to do a LFG. Theres very very few. Cross server LFD could solve this btw..... now before all you wow haters scream about that just think about how much this game already forces you into solo areas..... LFD would be no different, only thing different is no frustration from not being able to find a group due to people being spread thinly accross shards. This is supposed to be a MMO in a living world. This feels like a giant starwars theme park with a chat room where you do everything solo. Bioware does not seem to want to help create a living world but would rather just focus on this being a niche single player game with "some" mmo aspects in it. Which is fine, but they are going to suffer a huge loss of subs at the end of the free month. A flop if you will. I know many that love the game for what it is but they wont be staying for the same reason I wont be staying. Lack of community and lack of "life" in game. Cant find groups and not even level 20 is a bad sign. Feeling like your solo in a mmo is a bad thing. Good luck all, fun game, but not a true mmo feeling here.
  5. My server has ques, yet all the planets beside corasunt have under 50 people each lol..... and the main area at prime time maybe 150 each channel. So no its not a joke bioware set server caps extremely low. around the 1k mark if I had to geuss if not lower.
  6. Ive been unable to find groups as a tank for enemies of the republic and other heroics. Just wait till the free month is up and people that hate the sharding and single player feel leave. You might find yourself in the same situation. went to hoth 30 people total all channels.... went to the next planet.... same thing under 50. Server caps are set to like 1k max it seems like as the most populated area (main city/quest hub for 10-20) only has 300 people during primetime both channels combined. and the rest of the areas under 100 most being the 50 and under range. thats just bad.
  7. The reality is if they dont take out sharding and up the cap to a few thousand at least then this game will lose alot of subs at the end of the month. Simple cut and dry truth. You guys can argue all you want that theres nothing wrong with it but just wait till the trial month ends and you are left with servers where unless your in a guild or have 4 other friends your SOL for FP's and other content thats not solo.
  8. To be honest I am finding it hard getting groups for heroics. Doing a LFG Need all for xxxx.... nothing. Look up oh thats why theres only 30 people on hoth.... hmm k switch to channel 2.... theres only 2.... thats it. Im level 20 already having a hard time getting groups.... thats an issue in a MMO. You swtor brown nosers can say what you want but its an issue whether you admit it or not. Same with enemies of the republic never got to go there because I couldn't get a group after sending tells in /1 for an hour. GG. And as far as I can tell server pops are VERY low. The highest pop area is corasunt (spelling) and theres about 100 in both channels.... so a grand total of 200 people. I have a sneaking feeling that servers are capped around 1k people.... thats pretty low for a game so heavily instanced. If I could log in and see 300 per channel or more that would be great. But heres the big issue. People dont feel like its an mmo. it feels like a glorified single player game with a chat room strapped on for the most part. And many people after the first month will probably leave because they want to play an mmo not a sp game with a few mmo elements. I dont play mmo's to do everything solo lol, and many others feel the same way. I suspect after the free month the most heavy cities are gonna get their pop cut in half.... have fun with that.
  9. Boy I hope posters like the op dont cause content to be nerfed ala wow style... ill straight quit if they start doing that crap just because a few people cant figure out how to properly play.
  10. Im not gonna lie this is the biggest issue I have. You are killing the social aspect of this game and the abilitie to interact with players in the game. That is all. Good example go to meet my wife in a zone..... where are you.... im right here, no your not.. Oh you in f'ing zone 2.... seriously hate zoning you miss out on the social grouping aspect and seeing others while you play. Even if it were crowded I wouldn't mind I would probably start grabing people to quest with instead of fighting for mobs. Just baffles me that this game is so heavily instanced out.
  11. I got a through laugh from this thread tismorning thank you. Especially about the wow launching with the two raids he menchons.... epic fail. Honestly why did you think there would be end game at 50 yet? And why did you think everyone would power level to 50 the first week of release when they specifically stated the game is very heavy on story and will make leveling a immersive experience.... that kinda hints to the common sense logic that its possible that most will take at least a few weeks hitting 50. Go roll an alt.... or something.. or just quit not sure what you hoped to gain by making this thread to be quite honest. No MMO has given free transfers at launch... EVER unless they screwed up. But not for the reasons you are stating. And Bioware wont be the first to cave to a minority of players that rushed content they worked years on.
  12. They need to up the caps and take out the double zoning in worlds. That would help alot in making it feel more alive. On my server Infinite Empire I was having a heck of a time completing quests that required me to kill stuff because there were always people out there fighting over mobs. A fight broke out in chat even over people kill stealing or jacking objectives after someone else cleared the way. Making the other person have to wait for a respawn. So there are negative effects to having more people as well. Sure you may feel immersed more, but you might also find yourself wishing there weren't so many there doing the same exact thing you are doing.
  13. Theres actually quite a few people on.... dont forget that there are also different channels in each world.. So for my server corsant for example has 150 in channel one then another 150 in channel 2. To be quite honest I like it like that because on my server there is actually a little competition for kills and getting quests done. And if there were double the players in channel 1 i might get frustrated having to spend an hour in a zone just to get 40 kills of a certain type of enemy. I run into several different people every few minutes. They added alot of servers at once to so if you joined a new server it probably wasn't a good choice since many new players joined it also vs the old servers that had beta testers and early access folks on them and them being more steady in their play and commitment to the game.
