  1. I have two that I would consider:

Mako - don't know why, but I think she is the type you would not worry about introducing to mom. She is loyal, sweet, caring but would not hesitate to shoot anyone in the face who messed with someone she cared about.

Vette - for those "Hangover" type Vegas weekend trips, a trip to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, or a weeklong beach stay where the beer starts flowing at 9 am everyday.....she would be my pick!

  2. So the sentiment is: "Rather than improve matchmaking so pvp is balanced, screw the casual pvper?"

I think what they are saying is that there is no such thing as casual pvp. The goal of every player who pvp's should be to get better, which in turn, would result in more wins. ;)

  3. The question I asked my-self when making this project was:

In the games current state of player skill, teams, and meta. What playstyle achieves a higher overall win rate, while seeing what the true win rate data is for solo 8s que.(Since you can't spectate random games. Would have made this so much quicker.)

I was looking to confirm a couple of suspicions that I had:

1.In the current game state DPS pressure is the best way to win games.

    2. Regardless of premade' s or que manipulation. Individual performance matters more than the players on the team.

    3. If your personal win rate is below 50%, that is totally on you and most games your getting carried.

    4. The average DPS player is around 4K DPS.

    5. Average DPS above 5k will net a positive win rate (51%)

    6. The map selection of the game is not Random. That it is in a playlist of sorts. (Data coming later)

    7. After a certain number of wins the game essentially forces a loss/Matchmaking get's tougher. (Forced Win %)

    8. After a certain number of losses the game essentially forces a win/Matchmaking get's easier. (Forced win %)

    9. Based on 7 and 8 this is why we have such imbalanced games at times.

I don't have enough games yet to draw a conclusion, but just going off what I have they all are pointing toward being true. 3 and 5 need much more data. As I have taken lower dps players that appear regularly in my games.

Around 200 games should be enough to come to definitive conclusions on what is going on.

I would agree, or say yes, to all of your points. The only thing I would add is in regards to 6, I do think that there is a playlist of sorts, but that playlist is determined by class played. Just speaking from experience, because I have a tendency to play all classes, a Guardian/Jugg, for instance, may get hypergate, voidstar, and huttball more consistently vs say a slinnger/sniper, who may get alderaan or a yavin style map more regularly.

  4. a 316 relic or slightly higher will work just fine.

I recently figured out the mod, hilt, and enhancement vendor on fleet with pepe. I have unlocked the 2 missions for the 328 gear with the extra pvp pieces I have accumulated.

I watched your vid but had a couple of questions. So to unlock the 230 inserts, I need to run fps or can I use a legendary 330 implant? I have extra 330 implants in storage, why I ask.

Also, I am a little confused about the 334 implants vs the 330 and bolster. Is the difference that significant? In your vid I don't recall you showing the difference between the 334 and 330.

Thanks for the video, it certainly shed some light on things for me. Like I said, just had a couple of questions.

    Thanks,

  5. I think she has about 3 different paths going forward for her character. So far her character like you said is emotional has been emotional since a kid and her master was a former "Child of the Emperor" so i think its going to play a huge role in how her character develops. She already has a bond to an extent with Malgus and has been shown to actually tap into to the darkside from the cinematic of LotS. I do think that is a possible path where they are setting her up to end up being Malgus's new apprentice and first of his new followers. Whether it is total control over her which I don't think is his aim for her I think he wants her emotional like Arcann and Vadar. I could could her being the first stages in him rebuilding the sith but I really dont know if they would go down that path. Path she takes is if you are Jedi Knight/Consular she actually becomes your new Padawan to train. Do not forget many Jedi do take several Padawans throughout their careers even when on the council it is less likely on the council but does happen. So I could see her kinda replacing Kira since Kira is probably going to be on the new council and the consular padawan i think is a knight at this point. So I could see her becoming your next 1. Path 3 is she obviously dies in the events being setup which would be kind of a waste for character that was just introduced. But very likely as she is messing with forces of dark/light and mandalorian that she just does not understand. Path 4 is she becomes your darkside apprentice instead of Malgus's kinda plays like both Malgus path for her and the jedi but you on this 1 are encouraging her to fall.

I am not sure how much stronger she is going to be than Arn at this point. Right now its hinted at she is quite strong as just does not realize how much untapped strength she actually has because Malgus has taken a great interest in her. She did show quite a bit of rage towards her master and Malgus but no skill or understanding of how to channel it in for light or dark. Arn is still close to turning darkside whenever he appears if you are a Republic Sabotuer/Traitor. Shown he can be quite effective as a sith but in terms of power she has more of a latent untapped potential that could very well surpass him.

In terms of what they are going to be doing with the character I guess we will have to wait and see there is still a lot things they are pulling together for the storyline whatever Malgus and whatever he is sided with or afraid of is coming. The Mandalorian Civil War which is inevitably coming I do not know how long they are going to make that. But I would say Shae does have the potential to be killed off in this story arc pulling the Mandalorian support away from the empire and you. As the renegade Mandalorians are fed up with taking orders from the empire they don't mind to be hired by somebody for a job but they do not like to serve other orders. They are not sith empire they are their own faction that has pushed both over the ages. So I see that being huge storyline with a lot of deaths. The other story is what happens with her and her brother is going to be tying into just about everything. Then there is the fact at the end of Onslaught if you read the messages as Republic Sabotuer pretty sure empire sabotuer too that the Republic or Empire is onto somebody in your faction is a Traitor and they are starting to suspect you could be 1. So there is only so much more they can do from the standpoint of a Traitor without you fully going over storywise to the other faction (not actual full on faction change but storywise change).

    Interesting!

I think this is more about her brother though. After she kills the Mandos and frees her brother, he makes it very clear to her "that he did not need saving". Also, he did not pay much attention to her until he "sensed" the datacron. I think she was just a tool, for Malgus, to get the datacron to him.

Perhaps he is a Sith working with Malgus? For what reason? Maybe to make this particular group of mandos the new "children of the emporer"? Who knows, but it will be interesting to find out.

  6. You seem to have alot of opinions for a dude who just complains on the forums then stands around on the fleet complaining in gen chat whilst solo queueing reggies. :rak_03:

Really? I look at the entire situation much different. I see a dead pvp community, with very few now posting on the forums. It used to be vibrant.

I see people like, yourself, with not really a clue what u talking about, expressing a ridiculous opinion.

I don't complain about you all, I get frustrated with you all. Not because you all are A Holes, but because you could be so much better than you think you are.

Think what you want about me. I have tried to help you all for a long time now and have been met with nothing but negativity.

Your opinion is incorrect. I am actually a huge supporter of this game and pvp.....

Just don't want to see people like you destroy it, with comments like u just made. You are doing a good job of it though!

EDIT: pretty soon it just prwicks like yourself playing, we almost there. Exactly why I said what i had to say. :rak_03:

  7. Nothing constructive, as always, has been offered. Prum, I respect the tone of your post so I will do my best.

First, there is not such thing as a pvp community anymore. I have people speak to me and don't have a clue who they are. I do not care either. There are a few attempts at pvp guilds, in which I respect, but even they have not a clue what a pvp guild should be. In the end, there is no orginization, no skill, no attempts to train, no attempts to help those willing to learn. That is were the pvp community fails.

Second, ranked is a joke, it is the venue I disrespect the most. I do not consider a single flair as a representation of where ranked is, nor where it could be. A handful of you all dictate now, it not only a joke, but insulting. You hinder participation while trying to encourage it. For your own benefit.

In order to change this, a strong pvp community must be reestablished. A strong community can squash the ranked player elitist stranglehold.

Unfortunately, this will never happen. So, it will never be fixed. Sorry, just the truth.

Too answer your question though, a community must be formed to progress pvp.

Not just a handful of players who think they know what the pvp community used to be.

  8. ok, making sure I understand it correctly

get a pylon, and destroy enemy in the process

    then

go to center, destroy enemy, and maybe get orb

More or less, there are several strats.

For instance, what I have seen on Malgus, send 2-3 to cap yours and the rest to cap theirs. It becomes a dps race and the last team standing gets the pylon. If a team is able to cap both, the opposing team normally continues to mindlessly attack their pylon, feeding kills.

On SF, it a little different, both teams normally cap pylons and the dps race occurs at mid. The victor does not run orbs but proceeds to opposing teams pylon to wreck defenders. Similarly to Malgus, the opposing team continues to mindlessly feed kills to get pylon back.

The key to handling both is to play smarter. DONT FEED THEM KILLS. Proceed to other side to cap less defended pylon. Unfortunately, it does not often work out like that.

  9. So, basically, they gave no credit for ones we already grinded for and now we have to grind tech fragments again so we can equip them after the update. Good grief, Charlie Brown. This will take a while.

Run gsf and pvp weeklies (3 each). You will get there sooner. I have 2, 330 implants on 13 different characters by doing this.

  10. Now Mike, are you suggesting a PREMADE group could be more fun? Im not sure that's allowed here....

Premades are fine. I like playing against them, just my thing. But I agree, not sure premades are alllowed in these here forums.....gasp!

  11. Tim othy......I have read several of your posts in the past and none have reached the depths in which you speak now. You have always been insightful at times, had respectable comments, but have never been dark.

Just click your heals together 3 times and say.....there is no place like home....there is no place like home!

  12. You are certainly hilarious. You're not a clown, you are the entire circus, which is appropriate seeing as you listed the entire circus as needed to take me down.

I actually feel bad for biggs being tangentially related to you.

Epic! Snave, I respect the heck out of your comment.

For the record, no one here respects WoW and the trash they promote. I played arenas in wow for years, came to swtor, and never looked back.

Wow pvp is clunky, slow, and just not very good.

  13. Then why are there 1000 people complaining about "toxic ranked premades in voice killing me over and over again, not play objective "

Those guilds that just have fun in voice do exist. The difference is that if they have bunch of kills without dying they won even if they lost, which is the difference I guess.

First, I was not referring to ranked.

Second, pvp guilds can own a map. Good for them!

You should have two goals in that instance, either you figure out a way to beat them or join them.

I think people have lost sight as to what pvp actually is. It not about getting feelings hurt or about getting owned in a match....but how you play and how much you contribute to the match.

Play with a guild who pvp's. I think your opinion would change.
