  1. Tangential question: If I dissolve the guild and I'm the only one left, what happens to all its assets (ship, housing, etc)? Does it all just vanish?

It was I who bought our Yavin 4 stronghold and pretty much unlocked the entire guild ship and decorated it before I ever started recruiting members. Does that just evaporate into the ether? I think I know the sad answer to that.

I suppose there's no way to transfer a guild stronghold to private. *sigh

  2. No, in contrast to Guild storage, Legacy storage is not affected by account status and freely accessible, but you still have to be mindful of the fact that you should only withdraw up to 1 million credits on each character to avoid getting it snatched away by Escrow.

Awesome sauce. Good to know. Thanks!

  3. Yank out all the cash from the guild vaults, because once you go pref, you won't be able to withdraw credits from the guild bank. Also make sure you never have more than 1m credits on any one toon at any one time, as the rest go into escrow meaning you need cartel coins to free them.

I cleared out my guild bank, but... OH FRACK! Forgot about the credits limit. I have over 750M in my Legacy Stronghold storage. Will I need cartel coins to excess that?

  4. I'm a guild leader with zero other players in my guild... had over 150 at one point, but now all are gone except me. I don't feel like subbing anymore as it's sort of too depressing. That said, my guild has a lot of assets such as fully unlocked guild ship and a Yavin 4 stronghold.

Here's the question(s): Since there's no-one else in my guild, if I un-sub there's no-one to pass the leadership onto. What happens to the guild assets? Can I retain them for my personal use after I go Preferred?

  5. I got a referral link so was able to post so thought I'd ask here, Is it worth coming back to this ? What's the health of the game like ? Have the devs given up or do they still put effort in ? I only ask as I don;t want to invest time in something if it's going the way of the dodo some time soon.

Worth it? In what sense? Will you enjoy it? I cannot speak for you. Absolutely yes for me. The game is vast and gets more content all the time. And what other mmo lets you play with light sabers? I mean, c'mon!

  6. This thread need to be re-opened again and again until something is done about it. Here we are a year and a half later and STILL not addressed. One of my biggest pet peeves is the FABRICATION DROID (MARTIAL). I spent millions buying this thing off the GTN only to find out I couldn't donate copy it to my guild. What the frack?!!!

Oh, and the 3rd Anniversary Galactic Memorial. Why? Seriously... WHY?

  7. This bug is as old as the game I think. Is there a way to stop my companion from auto summoning every bloody time I come out of a conversation or cut-scene? This has got to be one of the most annoying actions in the game. I'm freaking sick of it.

And I don't mean just sending my companions off to do chores or putting them on passive. I mean dismissing them FOR GOOD!

    HEEEEEELP!

  8. Okay, well, since you are not interested in taking the suggestions offered here then may I suggest going to the actual tech support forum.

I did check your links out and that is why I answered in the way I did. Your first link was a Windows XP solution and the second link, using Repair in the launcher, is unavailable to me as apparently this isn't a patch error and my Repair button is greyed out. Gee "actual tech support"... golly, never thought of that. :p

My question was whether anyone else was experiencing this weirdness. If the answer was yes, then I'd know whether it was local or a broader problem. That would help in how I word a Support ticket if I need to escalate it.

  9. See the link below, Quickplay Issues. Give that a try.

If that does not work you may need to do a client repair.

Thanks for trying, but I'm running a state of the art Windows 10 machine and was logged in and playing just fine yesterday. Also... As my signature indicates -- Been playing since pre-launch, so I kinda know the drill. That said, this error is a new one on me.

Oh, and the launcher Repair is greyed out, so that's not available either.

I do have a few characters on other servers, so I checked that out as well. Of the dozen other characters, I have one character on Darth Malgus that is available to Play, but the rest on that server are greyed out as well.

    I guess it's back to FFXIV 5.35 for a while. :o

  10. As of 1:30 PM Pacific, all 17 of my characters are "NOT READY" status "You may not play this character until the planet it is located on has been fully downloaded." Additionally, the Quick Play Mode window is popped up on top of the character selections stuck on 0.00%. What is going on? Anyone else unable to log into the game because of this?

I've tried logging a couple times with the same result. As it stands now I am completely locked out of the game.

  11. All US servers are now on the east coast.

Well, I didn't get that memo and besides... how stupid is that? It doesn't matter where on the planet the servers are to designate them for players in a geographic area. They could all be in Austin and be East Coast, West Coast or whatever.

This is now the third time my account has been moved to new servers and the game just keeps getting dumbed down and worse every time. If this wasn't the only Star Wars mmo out there I would have permanently left years ago.

  12. Dear BioWare,

I think I speak for all completionist gamers playing SWTOR when I say that I've had it with you. Let's set aside the hot holy mess known as the Codex and the literal years you've had to fix it and focus on just one aspect of it: The missing 74th datacron.

We're all stuck on 73/74 despite having achieved all Datacron locations as well as Fleet. Is this some sort of joke? I hope it is because if it's an error it means you simply don't care. You would please pull one of the folks working on gambling crates away from his extremely important duty and have him fix it? Would probably take less time than going out for donuts.

    Thank you,

Bald and horse from pulling my hair out & screaming
