  1. Honestly I have had more Imp v Imp matches than I have Imp v Rep matches on Star Forge. Yet to run into a specific group or just pubs in general that make me think "well prep the lube boys".
  2. I'm from the old JC and I have to say I have barely seen any other guilds from JC still playing when I get on. Regarding the baddies that everyone keeps on talking about, I barely ever see them. Granted I have never play anything but my healer now and I never pug, I always go one friend or more, but I have yet to be on an entire team of bad (that's not carryable.) Facing them is a different subject cause I have won against multiple teams that want only to TDM. Regarding the Reps, I have to say I haven't run into any especially good guilds or groups that made me and my friends have a run for our money. I daresay the old JC had better premades for the rep side, but the premades back then where usually all heals and tanks, which our teams usually never know how to properly deal with. Bottom line is that every group I have met so far has been carryable if you have a couple friends with you. There may be some **** matches or matches that don't have good numbers but hell I just had a tense alderaan today where I healed 9.3k HPS and every dps on my team broke over 4mil damage. Play some matches and start friending the people who are decent and start grouping with them. That's the only advice I can offer to people who don't like baddies ruining their matches.

  5. Even if these records are still being updated you can take mine down. I transferred over to harb for more ques, and JC was getting pretty annoying with its pvp.
  6. I think I get your point and I agree. I'm just lucky I made it to gold so I will get enough tokens for the mount and the weapons, but I have seen tons of friends and players who I know have done ranked for multiple seasons raging because you have to get to 1500 rating or crank out the matches manually. You aren't alone in man. A lot of people are justly mad.
  7. I formally came from JC before my guild switched over to harb for more reg que pops, and I have to say the costs are to much for people who are on semi-dead servers. Hell the only reason I was able to get gold was because the season started I was one of the only 3 healers ever in que, so I got majority of the que pops and the wins due to luck. Point is, for other people they wont even get near this amount. Hell ranked was dead after the first month on JC, and now that people realize they need silver for at least the weapons which is 1500 rating, they probably wont even try because ranked wont even pop on some servers. This neither provides incentive for people to que for ranked pvp nor is affordable for people who are on servers that struggle to get 90 people on imperial fleet.
  8. Don't think Losh is still updating the forum. Alot of records where posted up before and after he stated he will wait for 5.3 bolster changes. Only going off this since the old records are still up there and he didn't clean slate it. That being said it seems he isn't changing the new records and who honestly cares at this point? Server is on its last legs pvp wise.

  11. As the title states, who has the stronger mind? By this I mean, the agent was able to survive being brainwashed and had to serve the enemy were he/she was basically watching their body act with them banging on the cage at some parts. On the other hand the inquisitor had to deal with a mirage of crazy old sith running rampant on his/her thoughts, never ceasing to bother them. Sith are crazy and evil but one can image how much time it took for the inquisitor from end of chapter 2 till he/she got cured, all that time you had them ghosts not shutting up. So, who has the stronger mind? Cipher 9, or the Forcewalker?
  12. I would have to agree with this. 5 points for a win and less so for an arena win, and you need least 91 of them according to my math to get a tier 1 chest and rank it up to tier 3. I know the developers have said doing PVE should give gear faster than pvp, or maybe it was just one of the devs stating his opinion on the streams and it wasnt all of the devs opinions, but I'm pretty damn sure getting a tier 2 piece alone requires A LOT more time and combined effort than it is to run a HM. Hell even the tier 1 requires more effort. This doesn't even go on to mention the pain you have to go through yelling at pugs to try and win so you can actually gear faster. Although I personally dislike making the game way to easy to gear, I found 4.0 gearing system to be perfect, you would buy pvp gear with comms you could get pre lvl 65, and buy a full set and midmax and augment right as you hit 70, and could send over comms to gear alts instantly. Now you cant gear alts cause you need to do a weeks worth of pvp and CXP grinding to get them from 0 to somewhat decent geared now. My only wish is that the devs someone even out the gearing scale and make it easier for alts to be geared, even if you added in the boost its still somewhat of a pain.

  14. I'm on JC and I can safely say that my guild is the biggest pure pvp guild left on the server. Besides our guild, there isn't really a pvp guild on JC who teaches each other. Most pvp guilds are either just friends or expect you to know how to play. And pub side is dead side in regards to player base. 90% of pubs are pugs. The vast majority of players here simply don't want to go to Harb because of the toxic atmosphere, even with the allure of almost instant ques 24/7 (not that ques are usually dead on JC but no where as fast as harb is). If someone comes into our guild and asks for advice we help them, and give them help on gear and if they have mats we will craft 240s for them. I guess my point here is, my guild doesn't necessarily go out of our way to advertising help, its kind of just a known thing within our guild to teach someone who asks, and if they don't then they can suffer a bad rotation. Main point is, although your idea is nice, JC has very little new players, the majority who are here are average with some top tier players who enjoy crushing some skulls in regs. A pvp class-guild would do very little here.
  15. It's pretty obvious that mercs are in a really good place right now, but its also a bit to much. There is no reason for a dps to have 3 heal to fulls as a dps, or frankly any role should have 3 heal to fulls. But we all know that when Bioware wields the nerf stick of developerness, they over use ti and usually make the class invalid or below everything else. So lets think of other things, cause although merc has become fotm, it doesn't deserve to be nerfed into the ground after it finally had some time in the spot light. For start chose 1 of the 3 heal to fulls and give it to the merc dps. They should keep 1 but not all 3, I personally think they should keep the kolto surge but its up for debate. As for the merc heals I personally think they should be able to keep two. before 5.0 sorcs were able to have a god bubble that with utility gave them the ability to heal to full while immune to damage, I would say keep Responsive safe guards for sure. Yes its a bit overpowered so turn down down the healing a bit. The other I would say would be Trauma Regulators since as a merc heal myself I use the two shield utilities making me get a shorter cooldown on shield when hit and it makes me uninterruptible. I dont know about other heals but this makes me able to survive alot more burst. Thoughts and opinions?
