  2. I agree that there will always be a number of players trying to cheat/exploit/leech in WZ's (or in any game), but I'm just concerned by how much I've seen this in the last 48 hrs. I've seen people doing this in at least 3 Hutt Ball games I've played in the last 48 hrs and I'm hoping this isn't becoming some new trend among the leecher community. I'm also just looking to see if anyone else has noticed this so that we can shed light on it and let BW address it.
  3. I've been noticing this a lot a lately in the last couple of days or so, but has anyone else noticed that some players in Hutt Ball will purposely hide in the the large containers that sit in the middle of the map on both sides (the ones that usually have the +Expertise boost behind them). Just in my last match I caught the same two players standing in there multiple times just waiting, not making any attempts to get out. This then led me to recall seeing the same thing in the last couple of Hutt Ball games. The funny thing is, soon as I started shooting at them, they were able to jump out and try to run from me no problem, so the excuse that they were "stuck" multiple times doesn't really stick. I've got their names and plan on reporting them in game. Now as a gunslinger, I felt it was my duty to give them each two new breathing holes above their eyes, but I'm just concerned that this may be becoming a new tactic for those that just want to farm PvP rewards (XP, Valor, etc.) without having to participate, and thought it was worth bringing to the community's and Bioware's attention. Any thoughts?
  4. I posted this in general, and it moves so fast it barely got a look or let alone a response. I'm not sure if this a smuggler only issue, or where better to post this, so pardon my ignorance in advance. Anyhow, here goes... So this situation has me totally confused, and I'm not sure if I'm missing something, or suck at basic math, or both. I play a GS, but for simplicity's sake, I will provide info based on just one main-hand weapon equipped (the result is the same when dual-wielding). The issue I'm having is that when I replace my lvl 39 blaster with my new lvl 45 one, which has major stat gains in just about every area, for some reason my DMG range is 200-300 points higher with the lvl 39 weapon. Here are the stats: For simplicity: ---------------- Blaster 1 = Critical M-412 Elite Watchman Interceptor (lvl 39) Blaster 2 = Endowment Elite Stealth Blaster [superior] (lvl 45) Stats Compare: ------------------ Stat | Blaster 1 | Blaster 2 ------------------------------ DMG | 170-315 | 211-392 [+41 MIN, + 77 MAX] END | 44 | 43 [-1] CUN | 50 | 52 [+2] ACC | 14 | 20 [+6] POW | 40 | 39 [-1] CRIT | 32 | 40 [+8] TECH POW| 388 | 483 [+95] SURG | 0 | 40 [+40] ------------------------------- So as you can see, aside from very minor losses in End & Power, Blaster 2 is a nice upgrade, but here's the issue: Blaster 1 PRIMARY DMG RANGE: 3890-5340 Blaster 2 PRIMARY DMG RANGE: 3692-4972 --------------------------------------------------- DIFFERENCE LOST USING BLASTER 2: 198-368 So even though Blaster 2 appears to be an upgrade overall, why am I losing 198-368 overall dmg range when switching to it from a blaster that is 6 levels below me now and has lower stats than Blaster 2? Can anyone explain this? Any and all feedback is much appreciated.

  6. The cover bar is your friend, my suggestion is you get acquainted and chummy with it sooner rather than later. The reason being is that as you level, you will find smugglers have a LOT of abilities, some usable ONLY while in cover. If you tried to put all the skills you had (cover-only skills included) on to the regular bars, you won't have enough room. Hence, the cover bar allows you to have your cover-only skills placed on it, then displayed and available to you only while in cover. Hope this helps.

  8. First off, I want to thank the OP for constructively putting together what *MANY* of us have experienced and have been concerned about. This is indeed a major issue and although not immediately game-breaking, it will severely damage the success of SWTOR if left unfixed. The only thing that I would add to this, and this may have already been mentioned (please excuse me for not reading 140+ pages), is that for me the issue has been the most noticeable with target deaths and target switching. The cases I'm speaking of are ones where the target dies before the ability animation of whatever skill you last used on that target finishes, and thus you are unable to switch targets because you are "locked" into the animation completing itself. Like others have said, other MMO's like WoW have set the standard where an animation should be cut off immediately based on either user input (ie. hitting a new ability, jumping) or target status change (ie. target is now dead). But other than that, this game has been a blast and a breath of fresh air for millions of us, and I hope BW not only keeps up the good work but also addresses core issues such as this. Thanks again OP for intelligently bringing to light a serious issue.
