  1. That is the major issue. I don't see how it can be fun even for a sith. A real pvp'er wants challenge not rampage the opposing faction at 11 to 1. And I do not think honestly they will do something this drastic but it is the only way to save the game. Because human nature blah blah blah and personal choice blah blah blah are also valid the other way around. When people who want to play SWTOR and not play sith will get tired, it will be "their choice" to stop playing. Then the game will end for the sith just as well. PvE alone will not give long term viability to an MMO. There is no PvE end game content so if they do not prove to the community that changes are upcomming, in a way or another that these bright minds will come up with, the population on republic side will decline. Hell it did in a single day. There was about 10% give or take less players on the republic fleet tonight than there was yesterday only. There are thousands of posts from republic players (but also sith) who have quit the game no later or earlier than today. That too is a personnal choice. That too is human nature. People on both sides are entitled to the same experience regardless of their personnal choice or inclination. It should not be "god mode" for one side and "fubar mode" for the other like it is right now. You want concrete changes? Good I will give you some. -Equalize skills (whatever the problem is, rep is mathematically disadvantaged) -Remove auto-vulnerability on PvP locations on Ilum. Something like Aion would be nice. A certain time between vulnerability not this literally ridiculous perpetual raid. Then ppl can organize on both sides for offense and defense. -Give valor points and XP for open world pvp kills everywhere not just Ilum -Create consistent pvp brackets: 10-20, 40-50 for example. -Create pvp gear for all brackets. Why would you have to wait for 50 to gear up? -Expand maximum party size for pvp premade queuing so the argument of "select who you play with" can become valid. I could name a few more but I am honestly getting a little fed up. Bottom line is that right now PvP is innexistant. Explain to me how most of the sith are now rank 60 in a matter of hours? PvP isnt broken? Common lol.
  2. Well there has been some replies from people who are obviously enjoying playing sith and essentially playing at "god mode". It is not a question of frustration or lack of PvP'ing. Most of the republic players on my server PvP as much as the sith and perhaps even more because we need twice as many games (and sometimes way more than that) to accomplish our dailies. First of, you don't control necessarilly who you queue with every freaking time: so the pseudo elitist comments about playing with organized groups only is completely out of context. Yes there will be new comers and on both sides. But think about it; You are right about the fact that playing empire or republic is question of choice. But what will the sith do once there are no more republic players left to queue in a wz? Youre gonna duel yourselves until the end of times? Seriously if I was playing sith right now I would have quit. The challenge and the "magic thinking" that the game will be subject to major changes keep me in the game right now. And please don't have an assuming know it all attitude when you don't know what you are talking about. PvP is all I do and so it is for many republic players across the board. So lawl at your attempt to discredit my post. I did not blame anyone. I pointed facts. Enjoy farming Ilum lol.
  3. In extreme situations, you require extreme measures. A great portion of people have already cancelled their subscription or will very soon. Its like a limb thats dead, sometimes you need to cut it off to save the body...
  4. Hi everyone! I am basically posting my 2 cents about the current situation. It is clear to me and several friends of mine that PvP was not a major concern of the developper team for SWTOR. It is plain for everyone to see that they only implemented the bare minimum to launch the game. Something very similar to the World of Warcraft battlegrounds (is that what they were called? anyways...) and, overally speaking, nothing new or innovative. Now because of the incredible imbalance in skills and sheer faction population, it was very hard for republic players such as my self to perform in PvP. But this time, they killed it big time. Every level 50 who has been on Ilum today has noticed. PvP is entirely broken. This is something we all have to admit as a community and is also something those in charge of developping and commercializing this game must realize as well. Now in the current situation I challenge anyone to solve this in the conventional way (rollback, free items, blah blah blah). You roll back tomorow? Guess what... Sith are gonna start farming the next morning. Wow big deal I've lost one day of grinding. No! You have to re-write the entire system. You have TO KILL PVP before it kills the game. So here are my 2 cents. Remove PvP from the game entirely until you have re-balanced the skills and restabilized the faction ratio. PvE is awsome in this game. Yes it ends a little abruptly and yes there is very little end game content. But it is not what is killing this game. I am sure casual players on PvE servers have a great time if they play this game in the same way you would play Mass Effect or Skyrim. But for gamers like me, who want both aspects of the game and many others like me, we wanted and also expected a bit more. It is not like there were no examples of what to do and what not to do in the last 10 years of MMORPG history. WoW set some standards, so did Aion or EVE online and other great names of the industry. Yes the game is young, but it is about to meet a very quick and ugly death if it isn't "fixed" drastically. I sincerely and truthfully think that removing PvP entirely for the time being would give both the community and the developpers the time required to turn things around. To those in charge I would say this thing also: You messed up... Just admit it like CCP did with their captain's quarter fiasco and such for those who know what I am talking about. Vulgarilly speaking "poop happens". No one is perfect not even the makers of Mass Effect lol. So apologize, admit your failure, kill PvP, re-write it and implement something awsome like you can do so well. I for one would be willing to wait a few months of PvE. But you need to adress the issue. To the community I would say this. It is only at the intention of some but seriously, posting absurd stuff like "**** bioware", "this game is a fail", "Trolololol" or any such nonesense is not constructive. So stop flodding the forums with every little pre-pubescent thought that passes through your head and give the guys that are trying to sort this mess out a little chance. Thank you and fair winds to all gamers! P.S. For the grammar Nazis, english isn't my first language so hush at the spelling and grammar errors -in game name : Kaena -server : Belegoth's Beacon
