  1. You probably already know this, but the "Training Dummy" section is taking parses from the PTS. I noticed this, because my PTS character, Futile is shown.
  2. Alacrity reduces the global cooldown now and it increases force regen by the same amount. However, even with the changes it still is a crappy stat for tanks. The devs bragged about how alacrity was going to be a useful stat for everyone, but it clearly still sucks for everything but healers and sorc dps (with changes to boss resist that may change). Either the devs haven't a clue what is a good stat, or its just there to make you grind out comms to min/max your gear.
  3. Noxxic is one of the reasons why there are so many bad players. Don't use noxxic. It is filled with misinformation. Finding well-respected guides on your class forums is a much better source.
  4. Yep, the powertech needed a small nerf. They were actually a little ahead of everyone else on the PTS from a pve dps perspective. However, they didn't need the complete destruction they got.
  5. This argument needs to die in fire. Everyone and their mother believes Crimson Elite completed that boss. Why does it matter that they provided a different method of showing it than a 6 month thread that began before there was an achievement system? Crimson Elite did it fair and square. Accept it. Good God if you care that much about story mode world boss progression, you have way too much time on your hands.
  6. What guild would go through the trouble of lying about a story mode boss clear? Get a grip. They clearly aren't lying about it so there is no reason to be skeptical. You really think Crimson Elite failed to get down a story mode boss and went through the trouble of forging an achievement?

  8. Well, 1400 dps doesn't seem that far off considering you are in a boss fight. You should be fine for SM S&V. Knowing the mechanics is a lot more important than dps for story mode. However, you could use some improvement. I think my guide is a little too confusing for newer players and I probably should make it more user-friendly in the future. I'll work on that. In the meantime, Paowee's guide to the lethality sniper explains the build much better and I would suggest reading that. It isn't updated for 2.0 yet but it does a great job at explaining the premise of the build.
  9. Well you are a marauder so that will be a problem as they are one of the hardest classes to play as a dps. The "easiest" tree I would say would be the rage tree.
  10. It would help to know what kind of gear you have and how you parsed it. 1550 dps would be very low for a dummy parse at lvl 55, but pretty good for a dummy parse at lvl 50 with columi gear. In a raid setting, 1550 dps would be pretty good on some fights and kind of low on others if you have campaign or dread guard. As for S&V story mode, the dps requirement is very low. I'm not sure what the exact requirement is, but SM operations are more a mechanic check than dps check. For stats, cunning obviously will be your primary goal. You should have 100% ranged accuracy. You should keep your crit rather small. I'm not sure how much is ideal, but it isn't anything over 400 I can tell you that. Either keep crit small or don't stack it at all. Once you have 100% accuracy, the rest should go in surge. Because crit isn't that valuable, you should be getting much more power than crit. Pretty much this: Cunning > Accuracy 100% ranged > Power > Surge > Crit Don't bother with alacrity. It still isn't better than surge and it just messes up the fluidity of the rotation.
  11. Shoulder cannon is a fine ability. The reason why vanguards aren't good right now is because they nerfed your plasma cell dot to the ground. Shoulder cannon actually contributes more damage than your relics do. It is not a bad talent to have.
  12. You pretty much want to stack crit as low as possible. I would either go with very little to none. Accuracy should be 100% melee and the rest should be surge.

  14. Its off the global cooldown. That is more than enough of for it to be useful as a dps. It is literally just extra damage. How is that bad?
  15. I think the OP needs more "endurance" It is hard to get, but it takes time and is quite fun from what I've seen. At least we don't have to sit and wait 30 min for a Jawa balloon to have the thing glitch out on us and disappear when it arrives.
  16. Stay away from alacrity. The devs like to brag that it is finally useful for more classes, but in reality it is still not good for anyone but healers and dps sorcs (even less so with accuracy changes).
  17. They needed a slight nerf. Maybe decreased CGC damage by 10% instead of the 50%+ nerf they gave us.

  19. Yeah, there is no reason to "stack" endurance. What comes with the best dps stats is more than enough. As for crit and power. Crit isn't very good of a stat right now. I would recommend grabbing the least amount of crit you can right now. Try to stay under 200 if you can. As for other stats, you pretty much want to hit close to 100% ranged accuracy and put the rest of your enhancement stats into surge. You should be looking for gear with enhancements with power/surge and accuracy/power on it.
  20. My idea would base it off of purchase time in comparison to other players. The first % to order would get it the first day, the second % would get it the next day, and so on. That would be fair, and that is pretty much how they did it at launch, and it worked well. It would solve a lot of the lag issues, and it would be a more fair system instead of this "5 days early or none system" that doesn't fix the lag issue and makes players confused and/or angry. No this hasn't "scarred me for life." It is a minor issue, but an issue I think can be solved easily.
  21. Please read the OP. He perfectly explained how the snipers are overpowered by explaining how their abilities have a huge advantage over other classes. He didn't say "OMG I got beat by a sniper once their so OP!"
  22. The wait "should" be 1.5 sec, but do to lag and your APM, it could be anywhere from that 200 milliseconds to close to 1.5 sec. I just put RS in the rotation there, because under optimal conditions, it should go there. Of course, during that part of your rotation, your goal should be to put up all of your dots then cull. If you don't need to throw in RS as a filler there, that's fine too. Yes, target switching and double-dotting will come eventually /Updated guide with abbreviations. I also think the guide is a little hard to read if you haven't played the build. I'll edit the guide to be a more friendly guide to newer players.
  23. That's why you phase it in over 5 days and not do it in two clumps. Read the OP, please Yes, it was a typo. It isn't a problem for you, because you probably don't have to worry about everyone in your guild being on the same level for raid progression. The 5 days really do complicate things a bit when it comes to organizing pve endgame content.
