  1. their engine could handle this. ive been in ilum with 40+v 40+ battle with little to no lag.
  2. Hi Bioware. Let me just be one to say that the game has gotten FAR better over the time its been out than it was at launch. Furthermore, I believe you are making a LOT of players very happy and excited over the upcoming release of galactic starfighter. SUCH a breath of fresh air to see you guys implementing horizontal expansion to content rather than vertical for player to have to grind for. that being said. an AREA I feel this game is lacking so badly in that it might as well not even be part of the game right now is world pvp. I feel there needs to be a meeting held by the bioware team on how this can be changed and improved upon. Now lets look back at the game that had the single GREATEST world pvp engine to date of ANY mmo....DAoC. no game, in my opinion, has ever come close to a pvp engine of this caliber and there's an old saying...if it aint broke dont fix it. ramping off of that here are some of my suggestions I feel can bring some awesome depth into the game on the pvp spectrum WORLD PVP RECOMMENDATIONS: -entire free to roam lvl 55 planets (YES MULTIPLE PLANETS. 3 to be precise) dedicated to world pvp (ilum should be REVAMPED!!!). One planet will be a republic owned planet, one will be empire owned, the other will be neutral owned by sayyy...the hutts? the hutt planet will have flashpoint to raid difficulty npc's guarding the outposts and fortresses. players can take over the hutt controlled planet for advantages of having control over the most outposts. this planet will reset back to npc controlled at the beginning of every month. these planets will need to be very big. big enough to hold outposts that players can take over and defend. small outposts all the way to larger fortresses. taking over an outpost grants a small amount of valor along with a small world pvp commendation reward (10-15) while fortresses will yield much larger rewards. when fortresses are taken over, the npc "boss" of each fort is lootable by each individual player. the bosses drop world pvp commendations (75-125 at a random roll) that can be used to purchase "world pvp" gear and also has a very small chance (2-5%) of dropping a piece of bind on pickup world pvp gear that is meant for the players class. this gear is no better or worse than the warzone gear and can of course be used in any pvp environment just like the warzone pvp gear. they have their own unique armor and weapon skins and are just another way for players to get pvp gear. Companions will NOT be allowed while on this planet. -implementation of both offensive and defensive siege weapons that can be used to take and defend these outposts and fortresses. -players killed out in the worlds will ACTUALLY grant leveling xp, valor xp, and a small amount of world pvp commendations (2-5) giving players a true reason for world pvp throughout leveling and at end game -the faction with the most amount of fortresses under their control will recieve pve bonuses. 10% xp, 10% more credits dropped. - SITH/JEDI RELICS for world pvp bonuses!!!. There will be "relic" fortresses than can be taken for the relic inside ONLY once the defending factions main fortresses have been seized. These relics will each grant mass faction buffs depending on which relic it is and BOTH sides will have their individual relics. if both sides each have their perspective relics, no faction will receive any kind of bonus. however when an enemy faction begins seizing your relics they will receive bonuses across their entire faction depending on which relic it is ( LEAVING THESE PLANETS WILL REMOVE THESE BONUSES UNTIL YOU RETURN) ...here are my ideas.... *fury relic-10% bonus to melee damage against players *focus relic-10% bonus to ranged damage against players *salvation relic-10% bonus to healing done and received *guardian relic-10% damage reduction from players I feel that all of this will bring MASSIVE attention to the game and inspire the current fans as well as future fans to play this game for years to come. GUYS FEEL FREE TO CTRITIQUE MY IDEAS AND ADD SOME OF YOUR OWN FOR BIOWARE TO READ OVER. THANK YOU!

  4. absolutely agree with the last part of your post. i printed out and read over your guide and damage rotations and of course threw my own playstyle into it and I gotta say people need to quit complaining. if since lvl 30 ive been consistently pulling 500+k dps out of WZ's and 2-5 solo kills per warzone average....I have no complaints.
  5. @Koozie, I just wanna say thank you man. I just came back after a couple years off, deleted all of my 50s because I wanted to start from utter scratch, and I always wanted to roll a DPS PT. been slewing through the forums in utter disgust and disappointment seeing all this **** talking about the DPS PT (granted we may very well need love).....until I read this thread and watched both of your pvp compilation vids. You've renewed my faith in the class. Watched you CONSISTENTLY down classes 1v1 that are supposed to have the overwhelming "advantage" and even 2v1. If YOU are doing it and handling business, which you clearly are, this class is obviously capable. I really appreciate this post bro.

    as amazing as daoc pvp was...this game will NEVER be like that. here's why. 1. This game has 2 factions. population balance is always going to be an issue. daoc had 3 ALL of whic had their own unique classes. no class mirrors. maybe an even amount of ranged, melee, caster, and healer classes....but not mirrors. they also had their own unique lands to quest and lvl on which helped promote playing the different factions. 2. this is a 32 bit game. they are ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS going to have a rediculously hard time supporting mass amounts of players in a single spot. however, they make ilum pvp area bigger with main bases that can be taken over for loot and comm rewards like they did in warhammer....AND make more pvp planets so your not stuck on ilum world pvp 24/7....i feel world pvp will flare back up quite a bit.

DEFINITELY agree with this. this is absolute garbage and makes the healing class borderline useless in pvp. granted when im not marked i do love distracting a good 2-4 people for a bit from the actually objective but what happens when an enemy premade makes things easy mode by marking you. chain CC and death in seconds. pointless. your CC breaker wont always be up...
  9. well... as you all know... ilum right now is a sad excuse for world pvp. myself being a HUGE world pvp fan, as it stands right now, I find ilum to be a massive disappointment. I feel that you can fix a LOT of the problems by doing some of the following. 1. Make MORE pvp planets in the ilum territory and make a lot more world pvp quests that can all be accomplished by going to any of these planets. this I believe can DRASTICALLY lower the lag issue with mass amounts of people in one area because your spreading them out over different planets. Its also adding content which everybody always wants. >branching off adding quests. make some of the added quests be pvpve based quests where its built around pve BUT requires both factions to mingle in the same area to get it done. make these pvpve quests inthe ilum pve territory (and in other pve terrirtorys on the added planets. this will change it up a bit and add some new type of pvp to the game. 2. make all open world quests doable on any of these planets. this will promote desire to visit ALL the planets rather than just leaving ilum behind because people right now are so sick of it. 3. the current open world quests. garrrrbaaageeee. collecting armaments is a joke...especially the weekly. sure you can get it done by killing players but im sure all of you know that merely camping the enemy spawn point is a joke. thats not pvp. the armaments should be more readily available. put spawn locations on every combat zone. northern central AND southern should have spawn locations as well as both main bases. hopefully that small addition might promote spreading out the population on ilum because gathering the armaments will be easier. should help reducing base camping as well. BIOWARE i get that you dont want the weeklies to be super easy mode which is why you took away the original ilum weekly in the first place. but either way camping the enmy base this quest can easily get done in a day as it is so you might as well do this. feel free to implement CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.

  11. no I get the the 3 tracer missile setup. Im not speaking to you people who play the class/spec correctly. But As a healer when im healing myself from one of these tools and i see 7? 8? 9? TEN grav/tracers on me? or on the target im healing? and im all for giving buffs to other abilities or adding more heat signature pert hit to the ability...u just shopuldnt be able to pump that kind of dps from spamming it.
  12. how in the hell does ONE ability that does 2.5k dmg every 1.5 seconds and only gets worse due to armor reduction NOT need a nerf? you realize that ONE ability pumps out more dps in that given time period than some complete rotations from other dps classes? I have a sniper in full champ gear specced lethality and it takes me about 4 seconds due to setting up my dps before i can top that kind of dps.....by that time the merc/trroper has already let off 3 of those and reduced a S*** ton of armor...Im squishier and need to work 3 times as hard just to have a shot at keeping up with that kind of dps. especially since most of the abilities i use to set up that kind of dps have cooldowns. ya thanks ur right they dont needs nerrfs PSSSHH no wayyy
  13. I currently play a heal merc. This is my second 50 and its a fairly new one. Im in full centurion with a couple replaced with piece of champ. I dont know where i developed such a pet peeve/ rage for these no talent hacks but I gotta ask. what the F***********ck is the deal with u idiots who do it? WHY?! its NOTTTTTT the best way to dps as that spec. how is it fun for you to run around and push one button. at lvl 20 I can KINDA see why they do it because its your best ability. still annoying but whatever. but i see you 50s doing it!!! learn your f***ing class please. do you even understand how the mechanic of your spec works? Bottom line is im saying those 2 abilities need a NERRRF. what makes me most angry is those 2 skills (grav round/tracer missile) when spammed are viable enough to pump out sufficient dps. its not the best way but its enough to put a hurt on someone. Ill never roll that spec merely because you tools who spam give that spec a terrible name. suggested nerf bioware....please do at LEAST one of the following... >place a 2.5 second CD on tracer missile/grav round >lower the damage by 15% >increase casting time to 2.5 seconds not saying do ALL of those nerfs but any 2 of them would still make that spec completely viable in pvp. hell buff other skills to replace that nerf. but PLEASE get these A**clowns off the one button mash. making an entire spec should never have one ability thats powerful enough to be mashed down over and over.
  14. i disagree. the closest pvp i ever saw to daoc was warhammer. the server i played on was constant tug of war back and forth.
  15. i honestly dont see how it would be a problem if you increased the size of the zone by at least 300%. made it into a big continent. are you referring the the fact that when mass amounts of players get into a small area it gets laggy and buggy and crashes? the way ilum is now..the world pvp zone is FARR to small to support that many yes and its very linear. but when your given tons of outposts far away from each other to take over...that battle could get VERY spread out. OR to help remedy that problem. make a bunch of instances of the same world...spread it out even more. there are ways around the new technology bro. im just asking for the core fundamentals that daoc pvp had to offer
