The graphics in wow are way better. And it runs at 200 fps on dirt old PC's. How can this game raise the bar when its brand new but looks AND runs worse than WoW?

2 months time when subs have dropped to 500,000k will prove you wrong. This game is not even better than Rift. The only thing that made this game 1m+ purchases is because of the brand name "Star Wars". If it was "random MMO game", it would be at the near bottom of the MMO pile. As an actual game even Rift trounces all over SW:ToR.

Reading some of the replies in this thread has made me laugh out loud as to how clueless the people are who dont understand "smart camera". They have probably never played an MMO before and dont even realise what "smart camera" options are for. If i cba i will make a video of it to show these nubs how not being able to turn off smart camera makes the game utter crud if you want to do any thing even remotely remsembling skill.

Trust me, i dont like throwing money away for a game that ive already payed for and a game that i will have to continue paying monthly for. But then i ask myself.... Why should i continue to support a game that doesnt support basic in game option like "smart camera". Everything might be "PERFECT" for you, perhaps you are someone who enjoys not being able to turn smart camera off. I, on the other hand, can not stand that control from my character is taken away from me. I play to be IN control, not have the camera DICTATE to me where it points. The only "vote" i have is to vote with my money. IF EA/Bioware lose enough subs then Im sure they will fix a game that i so badly want to enjoy. If everyone keeps subbing to a game that has a severe lack of camera options, then EA/Bioware will continue to think that it is working correctly. Your post of "having to play the game how it tells you to, even though other games give you basic features like camera options" has been the nail in the coffin for me. First of all, alot of things are great in this game. The story line is fantastic, the graphics, are well, ok, but there are literally 2-3 things that are stopping me from logging on and not wanting to play it at all. So i will list them. 1) Smart Camera can not be turned off. This one issue is driving me insane. And enough by itself to make me unsub and uninstall. Such a simple fix. What a bad decision to not let the player control how the camera works. 2) The camera feels unresponsive. I can literally move my mouse half way across my mouse mat wait 1 second and the camera is still catching my mouse movements up. Mouse acceleration and mouse smoothing options? Nope, they are in the same place as the smart camera option. Totally lacking from user preference. 3) Ability delays. Ye, this one is a biggie. Ability delays make the combat totally unresponsive and non fluid. All in all, these 3 factors make the game totally lacklustre and pretty horrid to move and control your character. All this hard work gone into a game that i consider unplayable because of how it feels. Unresponsive = no good. Sorry.

No, the best way to kite is to have the enemy already selected, and then do a 180 degree turn using your ability in the process. "Hey, i have three people chasing me and i want to kite them, lets jump 180 degrees, TAB, TAB, dam my enemy isnt targeted, try again, TAB TAB TAB, dam i landed and didnt have time to target the correct one and use my ability". SW:ToR took away something that you can do in every other MMO. What was the point in taking this away? Bad developer is bad.

I will mail you my copy of the game if the basic feature of turning off smart camera isnt fixed. Why would i want to keep a broken game?

I would argue that you actually enjoyed doing something together with your son rather than enjoying Star Wars for the game it is.

Any developer / mod wishes to respond why this basic camera feature is omitted from a monthly paying game, feel free. Monthly fee = Pay for quality. If you do not value my money that is ok. But i cant enjoy this game with this basic feature lacking. And i want to enjoy it.

Nope. This game is carried by the Star Wars name. The actual game puts the Star Wars name to shame imho. If it wasn't Star Wars, this game wouldn't even have got 50,000 subs. Even Rift as an actual MMO is far superior to this.

Im actually sure that you do, but you just dont know it. - Run forwards. Now try selecting an enemy behind you. - You cant. - Because the camera swings around and back to behind your character. Thats why it is broke. This is a *very basic* feature of any MMO and i have no clue how this got past testing phase.

The damned auto center of the camera. THE DAMNED AUTO CENTER OF The CAMERA ! This game just cant be taken seriously until they implement the most basic feature of any MMO and allow you to select something behind you whilst running forward. What kind of MMO doesn't allow you to select an enemy that is behind you whilst you are running away from it for crying out loud? The game is completely broke until this is fixed. It is a complete game-breaker for me for what is otherwise a decent game.
