  1. $15 down the toilet, I resubbed for the same broken POS game I stopped playing 3 weeks ago. The same die in 4-5 seconds nonsense while my toon is in full champ gear. I couldn't care less about the game being fixed "eventually", I'm paying it for it now and playing it now and I want to enjoy it now. Before all the SC/OP players chime in with complete BS, you can save it. You can also keep your pathetic little WoW clone, I won't be reading this forum ever again and I damn sure won't be playing this "game" again, well maybe when it goes F2P in 6 months.
  2. You say this about the company that let a class be this broken into a live game? There's no way any competent developer would allow something like this to happen, and I've never in over 10 years of MMO playing seen a class as broken as the Scoundrel/Operative.
  3. I can't pretend anymore when I play TOR, the newness has worn off. This MMOization of SW has succeeded in making the SW universe mechanical and boring, just like all MMOs now. Lightsabers are supposed to be supremely deadly, are they not? Why do Jedi/Sedi characters need to chop things 50 times to kill them? One swipe is all it took in the movies. Speaking of Jedi, why are Jedi/Sith NPCs so bloody weak? There isn't one bit of difference between a Jedi and a simple melee mob except for it's name. Jedi/Sith NPCs should be champion level ONLY and not just fodder for me to level up on. I've killed 100's of Jedi with my character alone. These characters are the only part of the SW world that is special, they need better treatment. Another thing about Jedi/Sith which was very poorly implemented. If Jedi player's light/dark meter is way down in the Dark side, that means he is evil and a Sith and vice versa. There's little reason for that meter to even exists for these character classes, as if you "turn to the darkside" it means absolutely nothing, just what color your lightsaber can be... Blasters are supposed to be lethal, they are rifles and pistols that shoot plasma. My character's WEAKEST attack is when I just shoot an enemy with my guns, health bars barely even move. Only after shooting anyone or anything about 100 times will they die, I never saw this in the SW movies! "Nothing beats a blaster by your side"...couldn't be more wrong. The bottom line is, they should have made combat less "tanky" and more about avoiding attacks. I never saw Luke Skywalker just stand there being blasted over and over while he repeatedly chopped a storm trooper with his lightsaber. Speeders are anything but speedy. The fastest one only goes 120% faster than regular foot speed. That's like a car that only goes 25 MPH at top speed, they can do better. Last but not least, the class stories.
  4. Exactly, the guy in this video not some super skilled, rare player. Anyone that plays this class gets exactly what is shown in the video, all you have to do is walk up to someone while invisible and hit 2-3 buttons and win. I know this is Bioware's first multiplayer game EVER, and I expected it to have problems, but nothing this broken and it's been almost a month without even an acknowledgement from them that there even is a problem.
  5. I stopped caring and keeping up with WoW a few years ago, and they completely destroyed any interest I might have in playing again when they announced that idiotic panda expansion was in fact real. I'm just saying, other people that left wow, will without doubt go back no matter how bad the pvp is, because being insta-killed by these classes simply removes any desire to keep playing because there will never be any way to even play the game, much less get that "revenge kill" that sometimes makes pvp fun. Example, my BH has half champion gear, the rest orange gear with the lvl 51 mods from the Ilum dailies, and I still die in 2-3 hits from these classes. I pop my CC break immediately and still die without being able to even fight back. 5-10% more bonus from pvp gear aint going to do **** against that, and I'm not going to bother grinding out the rest of it until I see some serious nerf bat action. The game is a joke and just wait until half the WZ population is these classes.
  6. This thread should be made into a sticky. BW only has a limited amount of time to fix these classes before people get fed up and "go back to WoW." Or in my case, go back to not playing MMOs, and it will be permanent this time. The genre is an absolute joke now.
  7. There are also inventions called, Games That Don't Suck. TOR isn't one of them.
  8. Bioware perma-banned people for exploiting their poorly designed chest system out on Ilum, why not perma-ban the players of these classes for exploiting their poorly designed pvp system? They are completely destroying the pvp "economy" by being in WZ's, think about it...
  9. Ignore these trolls, the game loads planets extremely slowly. I have a very high-end system and when I go to a new planet it takes about 2-3 minutes to load, one of the reasons I'm quitting and coming back in 6 months. This game is still in beta, thus the patches almost every day.
  10. The game should just start you out as whatever class you pick, and as you play the game you get to decide which faction to join. This would be have been great for the Force using classes. If you went down the dark side, you joined the Empire and became a Sith...if you did light side, you went Republic and Jedi. And you aren't forced to stay in that faction either. Let's just say all classes join Empire if they go dark side and evil. If you "atone" that light/dark side meter back to light, you can change faction if you want. If you didn't want to join a faction, you don't have to either. I think a system like this would eliminate the ridiculous overcrowding of a single faction and offer much much greater depth to the game. There are numerous examples of redemption/corruption on the SW universe, and that's what this game is supposed to be. But it's too late...
  11. I don't understand people like you. Calling Empire players "idiots" because they play the faction they want to and not compromise just because of bad game design just makes you look foolish. This is 100% Bioware's fault and not one bit of blame can be placed on the players. They should have seen the lopsided population balance in beta and put in safeguards for release to ensure a proper game experience for all, but they didn't.
  12. If they start doing things like, then they had better get a lot refunds ready for people. The problem can't be fixed, it had to be prevented and they completely failed to do so. If they start brand new ratio locked servers and allow people to switch their toons over there for free, and offer something like an XP boost to play the unpopular faction, that would work. But they won't do that, because Blizzard didn't do it.
  13. I liked that system alot too, but as you should know DAoC never raised the level cap, and that was one way they could make your toon stronger. There is too much "free money" these companies get now by raising the level cap via expansions, and making you basically re-level your characters and re-acquire the geared you worked for, every time.
  14. They dropped the ball when it came to faction population balance, just like every other recent MMO. It's like, "WoW didn't do it, so we don't have to!" They should have locked server pop ratios at something like 5:8 and send you to another server if you wanted to play Empire. If you want things like relics and such, you can't have the pop ratio on a sevrer being 5:1 or worse, the low pop side would never, EVER do anything.
  15. Once the 50 bracket is in place, I'll bet on some servers you won't ever play anything but Huttball, ever. There won't even be the random other WZ that comes out of nowhere like on my server, just 24/7 Huttball...can you dig it? It's better than sitting in queue for 1 hour per game though, right?
