Well I think, the ball carrier shouldn't even be allowed to move, or fight back, in fact when you have the ball you, by default, should start falling back to your own goal line.
Or.... you can kill that sorcerer, at least don't let them get ahead of the carrier. Knock them off their perch, pull the ball carrier back down after they're pulled, pull the ball carrier out of LoS from the sorc, or even better, get the ball before they do and the whole thing's a non-issue.
The point of the Huttball is not what you described. The point is to get the ball over the opposing times side, when you do this, your team gets a point. Weapons, name calling, and cheating (exploiting by your standards) are all encouraged.
