  1. Well at lvl 12 you don't really have any sort of rotation. Just spam trash and discharge and shock (once you have points in induction). When maul procs, you can use electrocute to get behind enemies (in pve shock works too vs standard/weak mobs). Below is the baseline lvl 50 deception rotation, so you can just keep adding these abilities to your rotation when they become available: overcharge saber* relic* spike (breaks stealth) force slow voltaic slash (trash in this place before you get VS) voltaic slash recklessness (this is assassin's best offensive ability, it is what really kills people)* shock (uses 1st charge of recklessness) discharge (uses 2nd charge of recklessness) assassinate (if the enemy has over 30% hp at this point, then start new rotation/improvise until he/she is under 30%) *=optional, depending on cooldown status Maul can be used on proc, use low slash or electrocute to buy time to manouver yourself into position to stab. If spike procs maul boost, then it is perfectly fine to maul while the enemy is on the ground before starting the actual rotation.
  2. Is there any reason why high grade pve gear can't just have a new variable added to them that normalizes them to certain lvl for pvp purposes? For example your columi w/e gets scaled down to rating 126 (instead of being 136) when involved in pvp combat. This way there would not be any "end game pvp" gear disparity issues and lvl 50 pvp might actually be about player vs player instead of the gear vs gear joke environment it currently is, where early geared get more geared and new 50s are just cattle to be butchered.
  3. Power is definitely a linear function, 0.23 multiplier all the way. I think you must have been looking at different stat while thinking about power if you had it decaying.
  4. Crunched this stuff out for my own assassin and thought I might as well share it since it should be pretty useful for anyone who likes tune/optimize their gear. Power Power rating x = 0.23x direct increase to all damage Force Power Force power rating x = 0.23x direct increase to damage with force abilities Accuracy Critical rating Surge rating Defense rating Shield rating Absorption rating
  5. I have to agree, when I first got VS at lvl 40, I almost snap changed spec to darkness simply because I was so bummed by the animation. Sure my initial shock is now numbed down because I've repeated the attack infinite times since first getting it but I still wish we could get a more martial looking animation for voltaic slash. Besides I'll never understand why game developers keep giving melee warriors these weapon throw attacks, the whole concept is beyond dumb (unless it's some sort of finishing move against fleeing enemy). PS. Assasinate, on the other hand, never gets old.
  6. Artifice can craft a few lightsabers at skill ~400 (however those require 3x biometric crystal alloy per saber, which can be bit painful to get depending on your grind tolerance and lucksack skill in loot rolls). Artifice also makes 3 out of 4 possible item customization parts should you get yourself a customizable lightsaber.
  7. /facepalm headdesk combo Stop being clueless.
  8. Well, purely from video making standpoint, here's a few things you may want to consider for future videos. -Ingame sounds are a must have for any gaming montage video. Period. Without ingame sounds the video and audio feel detached and that is a cardinal failure from the get go. Random tune as a soundtrack, a replacement for real sounds is not (unfortunaly home couch directors rarely seem to realize this). -You certainly can have background music (in addition to the sounds that is!) but you should sync the tempo changes of the music with what is happening on the screen. -If you really want to take the general quality of your footage to the next lvl, you should play without UI (alt+z) while recording. Battling like this definitely demands exacting knowledge/feel of your skills/keybinds but having no random crap on the screen makes an unreal difference as far as video immersiveness is concerned.
  9. In my opinion the biggest obstacle to assassin(shadow) is the keybinds. You absolutely have to create a custom layout* because you have a ton of skills you need to use regularly and the default setup is 100% unplayable. I have lvl 50 assassin and I still haven't taken the time to modify keybinds so that I'm perfectly happy with them and at times it gets me killed or prevents me from causing maximum havoc to enemies (especially in pvp). *you should have certain flow/logic to it too. For example, rotation skill keybinds in the order of your basic rotation and skills that do ~similar things under the same button (eg electrocute=Q <-> mind trap=shift+Q).
  10. I've been wondering if Crackling Blasts skill is worth the 5 point investment and obviously it comes down to how high crit chance you can achieve with proper gear and stuff. So any high lvl player out there willing to share some numbers?
