  1. Ok so I've done some tallying myself on all of the US Servers during peak time for each server taking into account time zones. These are all numbers from fleet and are in no way completely accurate of the actual ratio. Now I only counted Scoundrels/Operatives levels 50 - 55 but I found some interesting things out The Bastion Scoundrels - 12 Operatives - 10 Prophecy of the Five Scoundrels - 16 Operatives - 22 The Harbinger Scoundrels - 22 Operatives - 10 Begeren Colony Scoundrels - 15 Operatives - 18 The Shadowlands Scoundrels - 10 Operatives - 7 Jedi Covenant Scoundrels - 14 Operatives - 9 Jung Ma Scoundrels - 10 Operatives - 6 The Ebon Hawk Scoundrels - 8 Operatives - 8 Totals: Scoundrels - 107 -------- 54% Operatives - 90 -------- 46% Now these numbers are very close and are not indicative of official population. But they are interesting none the less Something else that I noticed while counting was that on each server the number of people leveling scoundrels (levels 10-49) almost doubled the number of people leveling operatives All in all it was fun to do this and I was happy to see that all servers had at least 2 instances of fleet on each faction. This game seems to still be alive and well!
  2. What do you guys consider to be the ratio in game between the operative and scoundrel advanced classes? From what I have seen it seems to be 2 to 1 operatives over scoundrels but that is only in my view from The Bastion Would love to hear some other opinions and statistics I am also aware that many scoundrels/operatives are solely healers so considering this the healers ratio may be different than the DPS ratio
  3. http://www.noxxic.com/swtor You go to your advanced class and there are your trees. If you don't choose an advanced class you don't get any skill trees. If you stay as a sith inquisitor you never get to put any skill points into a tree because you haven't chosen your class yet
  4. Well just play an Inquisitor to level 55 and tell me how that goes. There are 64 abilities only the assassin can use http://www.torhead.com/class/7IwygTY/sith-assassin#abilities;page:1 and 55 abilities only the sorcerer can use http://www.torhead.com/class/26UDCpo/sith-sorcerer
  5. Once again they share similar abilities but there are many commando abilities that vanguards can't use.
  6. You may still be a Jedi Knight but you have chosen your advanced class either a guardian or Sentinel. They are separate classes You don't share all of your abilities
  7. You have separate abilities a vanguard can't use commando abilities no matter what he does. and a commando can't use vanguard abilities. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1tdERjANSw watch from 3:20, every advanced class trainer says this. Yes, like in wow you can go from a dps warrior to a tank warrior fury to protection. In swtor you can go from a DPS Juggernaut to a tank juggernaut. Rage to immortal
  8. People who said that were most likely RP players. Race changes does not affect gameplay in anyway There are no race perks in this game other than social abilities
  9. You can, It's called a skill trainer. He is in the combat area of the fleet. Going along with your WoW analogy, you picked a warrior. He can dps and tank, you have 3 skill trees, at least they used to and now it's 3 spec choices. You can choose any of the three. Just like in SWTOR you can choose any of the 3 skill trees in the advanced class that YOU chose that the trainer tells you, you cannot reverse.
  10. You have skill trees. I can go from a tank assassin to a dps assassin. It's the same concept. Bioware chose not to have a class that did all three. It was a design choice
  11. Lol, I didn't stop trying, If they offer the advanced class change. I guarantee it was not the choice of the developers, but EA telling them to implement it for money in the form of cartel coins. If they implement this it will ruin the game.
  12. This, you could use a dozen other MMO's as examples not just WoW
  13. No it's just that way for story purpose. You get a feel for the class and what it entails. Choosing the advanced class is like choosing a class in any other mmo. If you choose to be a mage in Wow you can't change to be a warlock once you get to 90. Let the argument rest please. Bioware still has people that have worked on multiple MMO's and they will never let you change your advanced class
  14. I love your suggestion, your insight on the mechanics of the game make so much sense. You should consult for Bioware.
