Well if the damage difference was about 200k in total, that seems pretty significant. I think i'll go Sentinel for the dps, especially seeing how I don't like tanking based off of how everyone has told me it is played. Still, it sucks that I can't use just one lightsaber as a Sentinel.

So if the gap between Guardian and Sentinel's damage output is only about 5%, is that a significant difference? Does that often make a difference in a battle?

SW:TOR is my very first MMO, so forgive my stupidity/ignorance here. I want to create a Jedi Guardian who can pump out a lot of damage rather than tank. I like dps more than tanking, and I know the Sentinel deals more damage than a Guardian, but I was wondering... Exactly how much more damage does a Sentinel deal than a Guardian who specs in damage? Is the number so much higher than a Guardian that you guys would recommend I just be a sentinel rather than a Guardian for DPS? Or can a Guardian actually match the damage output of a Sentinel? The reason i'd like to be a Guardian and dps rather than a Sentinel and dps is because the Guardian uses one lightsaber as opposed to the Sentinel's two lightsaber's. I like the iconic look behind a jedi using one lightsaber and not two. I know, a dumb reason, but I like using just one lightsaber.
