  1. http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/01/12/the-guild-counsel-star-wars-guilds-need-more-love/ I'm still floored at the lack of help for guild leaders guys. Please HELP US! I've been a guild leader since launch and I love the game but the lack of ingame guild tools is burning me out on the game and guild leading. So many other MMOs have great guild tools. I know y'all can do it too. We just need the Devs to look at it and help us.
  2. We almost downed the first boss in HM DP last night and went 3/5 in HM DF this weekend. Join us. Find that guild that you've been missing.
  3. We're looking for some new members again. Join us!
  4. The Elder Knights is a Republic guild for gamers 21 and over. Yes, adults only please! Our guild/kinship was founded back in 2007 during the Lord of The Rings Online closed beta and haven't looked back since. We've since branched out in Rift, EQ2, and tribal wars. We are currently active in SWTOR and Guild Wars 2. We are a haven for adult gamers who are looking to avoid the drama and issues brought on by gaming with younger gamers. We encourage a drama free, have fun, drink beer and enjoy the game environment and want to provide this to any adult gamers out there. We also believe that real life also always come first. Family, work, and anything else life should come ahead of gaming but we also welcome folks back every time they return. EK has been active in SWTOR on Harbinger since heeadstart last December. We currently host various operation nights on Tuesdays @ 8pm CDT, Thursdays @ 10pm CDT (For west coasters), Friday @ 8pm CDT, Saturday @ 8pm CDT, and Sunday @ 8pm CDT for our members to attend on their schedules. We also have been known to throw together random ops for alts and folks that need it when we can. As for our progression, We've cleared EV, KP, EC, TC, TFB, S&V, Dread Fortress, and Dread Palace modes. We've also cleared HM EC, first 3 bosses in HM TFB, 3 bosses in HM DF, first 4 bosses in HM DP, and first 6 bosses in HM S&V. We are currently working on gearing out in HM Dread Fortress and Palace every weekend. We also host weekly Coms runs during the week to get as many of the quests done as we can plus Dread Fort and Dread Palace. Needless to say, we are very busy and active. We tend to run all the operations through the week so that all members coming up can get geared on any toon they are interested in playing and seeing the content after level 50. We also have PVP groups during the week in the evenings for those interested in PVP. Alts are always welcome in our guild. SWTOR is a game about story and part of that is having many alts. Hopefully you're here to enjoy all the story lines and we encourage you to bring those toons into the guild to socialize, ask for help from our crafters, even leveling with heroic quests or flashpoints. We have a Guild bank with 5 tabs full of crafting mats, schematics, and armor pieces that we stock for our members that are leveling new toons. We also have an empire guild for alts and the legacy system so you can bring in your empire toons as well. We aren't as heavily focused on that side though as we are a Republic Guild but we understand that everyone wants to see all the storylines so we do our best to provide. We have empire nights on Monday nights where everyone is encouraged to attend and enjoy the imperial story lines as well. We provide a vent server and forums for everyone to use and enjoy while leveling and running in groups. We seem to congregate there nightly, visiting talking about gaming whether we are in SWTOR, GW2, or any other games. We do have a few rules that we ask members to adhere to. Please keep the colorful language to a minimum in guild chat and especially on vent. Some of our members don't play with headphones and have children within earshot of their computers. Please respect that and be respectful of the members in our guild. We also ask that you just be helpful in our community. Good karma always pays forward. Helping with quests, crafting, answering questions and such always helps everyone in general. We do not charge for any type of crafting or giving mats to someone who needs them. Our guild is what our members make it and if you are made an Elder Knight then we have to make our guild what it is. The Elder Knights was also featured in an article on TORwars.com last May 2012 about our guild and what we bring to the SWTOR community. You can check it out here. http://torwars.com/galaxy-of-guilds-the-elder-knights/ I highly encourage reading up on our philosophy and gaming environment so you feel you know us and how we like to handle our gaming community. If we sound like a good fit for you, head over to http://elderknights.guildlaunch.com and read our charter and news. Also fill out an application so we can start your two week trials and begin our journey together. Thank you for your consideration and best of luck in your journey. Magias - Elder Knight Guild Leader
  5. It bugs the crap out of me everytime i get on this speeder. It shouldn't sound like any other speeder given how hard it is to work on getting this. Can we get something that sounds more like an engine since the other speeders that are coming out actually have some different sounds?

We tend to run all the operations through the week so that all members coming up can get geared on any toon they are interested in playing and seeing the content after level 50. We also have PVP groups during the week in the evenings for those interested in PVP. We have the +10% to both xp and rep so you can level fairly fast in our guild and get geared up fairly quickly. 7. I picked up the GSI Pleasure speeder after a lot of work last night. I love the look but it should make a sound like an engine loping or a different sound from other speeders. Just a suggestion. I know there are tons of problems with speeder sounds.
  8. The Elder knights on Harbinger is also struggling with this. We have capped our guild almost weekly and have to remove unplayed alts (over 90 days) almost every day to make room for our members bringing in new alts. I have some members with 12 55 toons in our guild and play all regularly. I have 107 active accounts (thanks to the guild xp/rep bonus) that I can tell how many active players I have. Out of 107 active players, we have 497 alts. Please, change the number in the guild from 500 members to 500 characters since this is clearly wrong. 500 members would mean 500 accounts. If you changed it to active accounts, then we would have 107 members with 497 characters in the guild. This is really starting to hurt us a guild as we will have to create and overflow guild with more GB tabs and money to supply that guild of crafters and inactive alts.
  9. Seems like most forums have this option? Would it be possible to add it here? Maybe theres a reason not to but just a thought.
  10. Would it be possible to tie the number of characters in a guild to the legacy system instead of characters? Currently the number of members in a guild includes the number of playable characters. This puts us close to the 500 member guild cap pretty quick due to the double xp weekends and allowing up to 16 playable characters per member per server. If we could, would it be possible to tie unique legacy names to the guild instead of alts and characters? Even being able to mark a character as an alt would be helpful. Anything to keep my members active in my guild and able to work together on content. I really don't like the idea of sister guilds as they are more trouble than they are worth to maintain and administer. My guild is already approaching our 500 member cap for our republic guild. Most of these are alts since we have roughly 40 active members. I'm actively having to kick alts that people aren't leveling almost daily. I think guild leaders could really use some help with managing their guild better in this game. Our current tools don't compare to other comparable game such as Guild Wars 2, World Of Warcraft, and STO. Please bioware developers... I have been a huge bioware fan of your work since KOTOR, jade empire, and never winter nights..The day that SWTOR was announced I signed up with the expectation that this would be my game for a long long time and it hasn't let me down with all the ups and downs y'all have endured. When I joined y'all for beta during thanksgiving 2011 I feel completely in love with the game. My guildmates followed me from LoTRO to SWTOR and since we have a very active 21 and up guild with members that I work hard to take care of. I want to keep my members in my guild and I want them to be able to bring any alts in to continue the journey with us. I would appreciate any help with the tools you have given us. Any improvements to our guild tools would be fantastic. With ROTHC launching next Tuesday, I will see members return from WOW and GW2 expecting a home to play the game with us. I don't have enough spots left to allow too many more characters in our guild. Thank you so much for all the work and time you put into the game. Thank you as well to the community managers for really stepping up their game and working harder to communicate with the player community. It means much more than they can probably realize. Sincerely Jeff AKA Magias Elder Knight Guild Leader The Harbinger Server
  11. We are always looking to provide a home for those adults looking for a drama free, fun, laid back atmosphere. While we do raid some, we encourage alts, flashpoints, and just being in a fun community. Stop over at elderknights.guildlaunch.com and give us a look over. I promise it will not be a waste of your time.
  12. We have an empire guild for our members that wish to enjoy those story lines. The only way I can find out who is playing over there or communicate with those players is to hop on a toon in that guild or get them to log on our vent server. I am begging and pleading for a better tool to manage this. Even if its just something so we can communicate and know whos over there in case we need help or have questions. Any ideas would really be helpful. Thanks guys.
  13. Come see what we are all about... elderknights.guildlaunch.com
  14. We have reopenning recruitment. We welcome all adults who are looking to get away from the drama and problems younger players can create. Give us a chance and I know you will love it here.
  15. The cap is currently set to 500 and due to 1.5 and the increase of character slots. I have active members that are creating more alts and bringing them into our guild.
  16. I can promise you that our guild isn't going anywhere. I plan to stay in this game for a long time.
  17. Thanks Allison, some info on this and an acknowledged problem would really help me feel better. Its almost not fun to play my slinger now because the sounds are so bad. We await your reply with anxious ears.
