  1. I just wanted to say I love this flavor. My own sentinel uses the lightsaber she crafted on Tython and the Fusion-Core Lightsaber dropped by Vokk, the first Sith she defeated, in blue and red colors. They're sentimental, and OoC openly acknowledged as going against the code regarding material attachments, but she's RP'd as a jedi Miko Miyazaki.
  2. This thread is unbelievably petty. Talent resets were given because not doing so would cause someone to have 40 or 39 or whatever points rather than the appropriate 41. This is a very common practice in MMOs when talent trees are restructured. It has nothing to do with how much these structural changes affect the gameplay of that class (i.e. Focus/Rage trees for knight/warrior had one talent removed but become baseline. For someone with that talent already, there would be no change, but without a reset they'd be missing a point.) Also respecs are cheap. Please realize that commandos have bigger problems and don't make CS annoyed over useless stuff like this.
  3. Tried doing EC as a combat medic with a sage as the other healer. Got no real opportunity to practice before hand. Ammo problems on every trash pull. Best attempt in 90 minutes on Toth/Zorn was 65% and I was absolutely running on fumes just trying to keep the tank up. Tried story mode with no real improvement. Simply couldn't keep the tank up without running out of ammo. Went to Karagga's Palace HM for a self-esteem boost. Still had ammo trouble on Sarg/Jorno (Always been ammo-intensive for me, never really sure why), and overall just felt miserable and useless. Overall I have to be extremely diligent just to keep close to ammo neutral and I've had to adopt triage healing and trust in leaving people not topped off. I hated the entire experience. Can I get used to it? Sure. Would be a lot easier to reroll sage or scoundrel, though. Or quit.
  4. Is that what we are? Oh, shoot. I thought we were holy paladins in space.
  5. If Bioware has some data that combat medic does substantially more than scoundrel or, especially, sage, I'd be surprised. This seems completely out of the blue; rumors I've seen have all not said much of anything on commando, or suggested they were about in line with where they were meant to be. If somehow combat medic was scaling better than the other two in tier 2 gear, this is not the way to nerf them. Seer and sawbones have short/no cooldown ways to restore their resources-- Heck, sawbones is getting a buff for one of their methods. Combat medic has only its 2 minute cooldown and a 2 (soon 1) point restore on SCC. No faster regen like Pugnacity, no proc'd ammo restores. Instead, commando is innately efficient. In learning combat medic I'd overspend and find myself around 4 ammo with Recharge Cells down, and find myself spending the next few minutes cursing myself at my lack of discipline. On my scoundrel, I could get away with that if I had to, I'd just weave in diagnostic scans and be back up in no time. Because of how absolutely miserable the feeling was (Even if it didn't cause a wipe, which it certainly did a few times), I trained myself to be aware of how much ammo I'd spend and very rarely mess up like that. That miserable feeling comes from knowing that you can't do anything because you messed up. You didn't manage your resources well enough, you didn't plan ahead for this damage, and now, you can do almost nothing but watch. Not only will it be much easier to fall in that trap, avoiding it will require so many more hammer shots that you might as well feel that way all the time. If combat medic scales too well, if you really feel they're just totally outperforming seers and sawbones, please don't gut their resource management. Just lower the values of their heals. If you never intended combat medic to be this efficient, where is their diagnostic scan, pugnacity, or noble sacrifice?
