  1. whats the difference between wating an hour spamming LFG to find a jerk who will need everything for his companion and a LFD tool? Also, not all the guilds have a lot of players, and even if it where the case a lot of the players are doing different things, your guild is not a pool of players who are sitting idle waiting for you to pick them. I can ask for my guildmates for a tank, healer or dps but most of the time they dont have the time or are busy doing something else.
  2. But as far as I know all the flashpoints are in Republic/Imperial fleet. Is not like WoW when you need to go to the instance entrance in different continents, cities (that only applies for heroics in Swtor). And in pvp for example, who knows where the entrance to Huttball or Voidstar is? Why PvP has a "pusb button for insta group" and not the flashpoints?
  3. It works that way.. hit "F" to cover near an obstacle, and "shift+f" to cover in place. Or just change your keys to whatever you desire. See? cover is nice.. its just a matter of adjusting to a new gameplay.
  4. Mine is mostly light, but Im playing him as a double agent. I choose what benefits most the people subjugated by the Empire. I have a lot of simpathy for non human races and slaves, being alien myself (Rattataki). I also must be respectful to Siths and my Keepers to not blow my cover. Im far from being redeemed because of my actions, but one day I will find the perfect opportunity to change the direction of the Empire into a government who suits more the needs of the people of the Empire. Either way, history will always remember me as an assasin and a tool who died at the service of the Siths, because if everything goes well no one should know who is pulling the strings behind a new government.
  5. While rooted, to counter melee we have flash bang and debilitate (only cover pulse needs cover), or distract if specced to counter range attacks and leg shot to avoid incoming melee attackers. Plus we can always use our escape ability to run and roll into cover to counterattack the enemy. And to answer the OP question. I really like to be in cover, it makes me feel like im a sniper, plus I have a mix of instant abilities that I can use if the enemy gets to close or if I want to make a quick run. Having to cast our shots is also nice because it allows me to see whats going on while thinking my next move. In battlegrounds I find it especially useful because I can help my teammates by having a tactical view of the match (leg shot enemy players running towards my friends, distract bomb enemy snipers or people attacking the healers for example and shoot darts to players who can vanish/stealth). Its the opposite of having the tunnel vision of melee attackers who force jump blindly to spam saber attacks. edit.. as a side note, in PvP I tend to change places and targets a lot, I prefer to stay at range to get as many enemy players at half life as possible, in order to disable them while my team mates finish them, rather than obsesivelly follow a single enemy to try to kill it and get caught by melee players or crossfire. Of course, if I can takedown a player I will, but not at the expense of compromising my position and only If no friendlys are near to finish him.
  6. I meant, according to the original movies, the order was extinct and Luke was the last of them (hence the title "Retunr of the Jedi")
  7. Nothing in that moves hints that jedi are all superpowerful beings and nothing can stop them. In fact, the force was considered an ancient religion and Luke himself was lured into a rancor pit and then shot in the hand 15 minutes later. Im not even gonna mention the fact that, according to the movies, Luke was the last of the Jedi because everyone else was killed.
  8. It would be great if you can bind actions to phrases like: /say Arise $Playername the fight isnt over!" /cast Resurrection Or, It would be really great if they added something like the RPHelper (addon from WoW), where your character automatically selected one of many prhases for diferent actions.. Example low on health ("Im hit";"I need support") Custom emotes would be great to incorporate in the game as well. And, to finish, custom visual effects to tell when an ability is ready, so we dont need to stare at the action bar (some abilities have visual cues, but not all of them, and not when the cooldown is over)
  9. Thats not .... entirely true. In WoW... gold sellers used to spam /say near the mail, advertising their gold-selling websites
  10. Well I played SWToR for 7 years until It started to decline so I change to this new amazing game called WoW so... oh wait!
  11. Try going from one continent to another without loading screens, or from Outlands to Azeroth. Do you really prefer flying 15 minutes from Azhara to Silithus or a couple of loading screens?
  12. The same color the credits are, because.. damn its expensive!
  13. Why dont we instead say.. you cant respec your professions either. You took slicing and now is nerfed? tough luck pal. We can also apply the same rule to weapon modifications. That shiny module you just installed? cant remove it.. nope. See how fun the game becomes?
  14. So this is about you? How selfish. People can steal your drops for whatever reason, from "I want it for my companion" to "the cat pressed need". Have you ever encountered nice people to run? do you want to make their lives harder asking them to pay a lot of credits to respec just because you are afraid someone could steal your drops?
  15. Its really hard to aim a rifle with one hand if you need the other hand constantly to grapple / shoot missiles / flamethrower. Thus, using one pistol seems to be the logical way to go.
  16. As a sniper you have some nice tools to kite, good CC and some nice unique buffs. Plus there arent many Imperial Agents.
  17. Im also playing as a light side Bounty Hunter, but only so much as far as the story takes me. My take on the character is that he is looking to increase his reputation, and works for the Empire to gain clearance to planets controlled by the Empire. He believes the Empire will bring order into a chaotic galaxy, until he realizes what the Empire is really up to. He then decides to kill as many Sith as he can (possibly gaining dark side points for doing so), and help as many people as he can (possibly gaining light side points), but not without blowing his cover as a mercenary, or else he too will be food for the Sith. Why he doesnt join the Republic? He thinks an Empire is needed to control the galaxy and through order will come peace, even at the expense of some liberties and principles he is willing to gave up, but he believes the Empire doesnt need Siths and removing them will bring peace to the Empire.
  18. I was in Tindi Losi, a top end guild, a long time ago. The raid leader was a pain in the *** with everyone.. it was this kid, Devastatian, calling everyone names because "the healers plain suck". Then I grew up and left them for a guild of only ten friends wich was way more fun.
  19. I also cant be more clear in my responses to you. There will be always better and always worse than you. You dont need raiders. I will tell you this for a second time: In a world full of casuals, there will be the bad casual player, the good casual player, and the best casual player. The bad will look at the good and the good will look at the best, and so on and so forth. Clearly SW:ToR isnt the game for you. So please go pester the Hello Kitty Online forums demanding that they should show more blood and less fur.
  20. You are living a dream.. People didnt leave Everquest for WoW because the raiders left, they did it because it was new and shiny. In EvE there's a lot of hardcore players, and guess what.. casuals avoid it like a plague. What you say doesnt make sense at all.. and worst is that you dont listen to other people.
  21. If you want a challenge go play naked and beat the boss with sticks.. your argument of the 1% is invalid because there will be always someone who is better and someone who is worse. Even is the game is full of casuals, there will be always one casual who will be 1% ahead of the curve... and according to you, the rest will want said casual items, because everyone likes to be herded.
  22. I thought WoW has the meme of a kids game with cartoony graphics, and that meme was brought by the hardcore players of EvE online (a.ka. excel in space). Would you really leave a game just beacuse someone else is telling you that the game sucks and its for child? Please grow up. Scan.. just tell me you leave a game if some random person on the internet tells you to do it and I will agree with you on everything you have said so far. Please.. be that feeble minded.
  23. Exactly, raiding and elitism was important 5 years ago or more. Now is irrelevant who has what in a videogame.
  24. Also, you dont really "look up", if I am mounting a Rancor and I am the average joe... I will get a lot of whispers of "where did you get it?". In WoW I've decided to do all the achievements possible, the loremaster, the fishing contests, etc... I wasnt a top tier player, I was a hardcore non raider player. I spent days and days in Azeroth receiving whispers of "where did you get the flipping coin and such".. I just hated raiding because there is no point on chasing a carrot (the raid instance) forever like we were rabbits.
